I've been coming to this thrift shop for years with my mom, and it used to be one of our favorite…read moreplaces to go every week. Unfortunately lately it's become really discouraging to even come in because of the terrible customer service from one particular older employee at the front register. Every interaction with her comes with an attitude for absolutely no reason. The first time I checked out with her, I bought a piece of glassware from the 75% off rack and she refused to give me the discount even though that's where it was clearly placed. I let it go because it was only a few dollars and honestly I didn't want to deal with more attitude. Another time I was there, even another customer told her she seriously needed to work on her customer service skills because of how rude she was being to everyone. Today was probably my last time coming here. I found two tops I wanted to buy that were already tagged and out on the sales floor. One was an Anthropologie top for $6 and the other was $5. When I got to the register, the same employee started complimenting the Anthropologie top and then suddenly said she needed to "go ask something." My mom and I already knew what was happening because we come here often and have noticed certain higher-value items mysteriously disappear once employees notice the brand name. She came back and told me they "couldn't sell" me the top because it was Anthropologie -- even though it had already been priced, tagged, and placed out on the rack for customers to buy. I ended up leaving without buying anything. It's honestly sad because this place used to feel like a fun community thrift shop, but now it just feels unorganized and unfair. Between the rude customer service and employees pulling items once they realize they might be worth more online, it really feels like this place is going downhill.

They were cute slingback wedges and they were a bargain. Watch the quality. These shoes were great, but there was a construction issue (remember, these are donated). Nothing a little shoe glue couldn't fix. But at six bucks and a little bit of shoe glue for a paire that could've easily cost a hundred brand new, definitely worth it.

This place is CRAZY huge! If you're a thrifter, they have pretty much everything. I go here for children's clothes, although, I can't say that I've bought anything for myself. I love it because I always find Red Sox apparel and I've seen tons of other sports teams clothing items for pennies on the dollar. Get on their mailing list and you'll find they have half off days and all kindsof specials. I happen to be there on one of the days when they were holding a special and the parking lot was mobbed. I had to wait for a spot, and I finally got one! If you haven't been to a value Village, I say you just go look around. It's pretty fun and you never know what you are going to find.

The name was Value Village when I signed up...their name is Value World now but I never changed the name in my phone. So the cashier immediately pointed that out..that my phone said Value Village and not Value World..trying to say its two different places. Which its not...only a name change. I didn't argue...I left everything. Wasted an hour of my day trying to meet the criteria for this coupon and they didn't even honor it. I know the real reason why.

Family Thrift is definitely a place where you can find hidden gems, but you have to be willing to…read moreput in the time to hunt for them. The selection is huge, and I love that everything is organized by clothing type and color, which makes browsing easier than at some other thrift stores. I've come across some great finds here, although certain branded items can be priced higher than an average thrift store. I've seen Lululemon shorts selling for up to $17. The biggest downside for me is the lack of supervision when it comes to children in the store. On my most recent visit, kids were running all over the sales floor, crawling under racks and playing with toys they grabbed from the toy section. One child was even peeking under every dressing room door, and no one appeared to address the behavior. The staff is generally fine, but I wish there were more enforcement of basic store rules to help create a safer and more comfortable shopping experience for everyone. If you don't mind digging and have the patience, there are definitely great deals to be found. Just be prepared for a busy and sometimes chaotic shopping environment.

So aggressively as if I'm the one that did something wrong. I then ask for a manager and they always tell me that they aren't there. These older woman that are always at the register are awful. They don't try to help or assist with anything. It's not my fault that they have things out on shelves without a price tag. You might as well just take the item since they are gonna degrade you at the register
