I wish I had taken Before and After pics. My tree had "issues", and many bare branches. I imagined having a scrawny little asymmetrical crooked Halloween tree when they were finished, but no! It's beautiful! I can barely tell it's been pruned, except all the dead wood is gone. It is balanced and leafy, and actually looks fuller and stronger despite being reduced in actual volume. If a tree could smile... The crew are certified arborists, educated and knowledgeable about trees. They disinfected their saws and pruners between cuts so nothing would be spread through the tree. They carefully protected surrounding plants; they replaced anything they moved, swept up every twig, and left my property clean. I have not been bribed to write this review :-) I was truly impressed. I don't usually write reviews right away -- I like to wait and see how the work holds up before sharing my experience. It's been three years since Legacy Tree Company worked on our beloved 60-year-old mulberry, and I can confidently say their work was extraordinary. Our enormous mulberry had split down the middle -- the crack widened with every strong wind, and we were terrified it would come down on our home or hurt someone. We had several very large branches come down and we were running on luck. Every other company said it had to be removed. Harrison and his team at Legacy were the only ones willing to try something different. They consulted with multiple experts, designed custom drill bits, and engineered a one-of-a-kind bracing system that literally married the two halves of the tree together. It was a huge undertaking and a real gamble, but they understood how much the tree meant to us -- it's our only summer shade, and it shelters countless birds. Year one was touch and go; we weren't sure the tree would survive. The stress of the repair and the previous damage took a toll, and we watched closely through every season. By year two, things began to change -- an arborist who came to trim the tree was amazed at her recovery and the craftsmanship of Legacy's work. Now, three years later, our mulberry is thriving. The bracing has held perfectly, the canopy is full, and the leaves are bright green and glossy. We've had little to no branch breakage this year, and the tree has become a bit of a neighborhood legend for the incredible "surgery" she survived. We were charged a consultation fee and told if they did any work that amount would be credited so we moved forward. They said the tree was too far gone and gave a bid for nearly 8K to remove it. They also recommended a systemic application on another tree in the yard. When we asked if we could use the credit on the tree that needed the systemic treatment, we were told no, only if they removed the tree for nearly eight thousand dollars, which is 3 times more than another quote recieved from a reputable company. Although they may be knowledgeable they are deceptive in their business practices. As an FYI I called and tried to discuss this with the company and they did not attempt to resolve this matter. Beware of deceptive marketing and what you are told regarding consultation fees being applied towards work performed by them. read more

In the estimate process, all went well until the following occurred. I was sold, all ready to sign on the dotted line. Legacy Tree Company offers a $200 discount if you pay the 10% down payment on the estimate. I was prepared to do so until the "gentleman" explained that the 10% down payment was nonrefundable. Please note that, by definition, this is pressuring the customer. I would have forgone the $200 "discount" in order to have a chance to read the contract. When I questioned that I would not have a chance to read the contract, the person explained that the nonrefundable portion was for the cost and effort of their scheduling procedure. It would take 5-7 business days for them to schedule the work. It was now early December and the work wouldn't be performed until spring. When asked if that made sense, I said no. I started to explain my objection when the "gentleman" cut me off because he knew what I was going to say. When I asked the person to tell me what I was going to say, he refused. I said that I felt pressured and didn't appreciate the business practice. He said he wasn't pressuring me. I indicated that he doesn't get to decide when I feel pressured. He said they refused my business and left. This was a lose/lose situation and would like to warn any potential customers about this business practice. read more

Was so impressed with Legacy Tree Co. not many companies have given me such reliable and honest service.
