I'm very happy with yard clean up and gravel/sod installments for my yard area. For someone who's not green-thumbed at all, I really needed a clean up and a redo of my yard so the dust and dirt from my ground doesn't keep blowing over into my home. Plus, having some sorts of landscape gives a better, happier vibe than a plain dirt in my opinions. I appreciated that Martin was prompted in communications re: quotes, planning and with ensuring that staff showed up at appropriate time. Paul and Cheri the staff who worked mostly to help with my yard showed up on the days/time I expected. I also appreciated that they were respectful to my property and simply could work independently on own without giving me much worries at all. Now that the yard cleanup, sod and gravel installment, irrigation for watering are done, I'm very happy and thought it was definitely worth the time and investment. Best...you know who love the work more? My 3 naughty troubles (e.g dogs)!! Ever since the first day the work was done, they all preferred spending time outside in the yard and inside the house. Usually when I open the door for then to roam around my fence yard, previously with dirt, they would choose to stay inside. But..now that the yard is redone..100% they prefer being outside! Charged over $800 for weeding that took one person 3 1/2 hours to complete. This included hauling the waste which was 2 to 3 garbage bags. Price is way too high. Will not use again. That was just for my backyard. They quoted me over $300 for my front yard in addition to the $800 for the backyard, so I did not have them do my front yard. Less than a year later, I found another service who did a wonderful job on my front and backyard when it was way worse than when roadrunner came, and they charged me $170. Besides overcharging for the service, the one worker also was smoking a lot near my open windows on a hot summer day. Which was inconsiderate and smelly. read more

Don't believe the timeline quoted by the estimator. They showed up 2 1/2 hours late, after excuses by text only after I contacted them. Leaves you dangling by ghosting texts in the middle of an exchange. When they finally showed up I thought the man who knocked on the door was going to assault me when I questioned the lateness of the arrival. He was visibly turning red, contorting his face in anger and shaking. I finally calmed him down when I told him it was probably the estimator's fault. Do not confront this man. I believe he is dangerous and, additionally, he had no idea of what I wanted done and didn't even know the agreed upon cost. In spite of all this the work was excellent. However, I would not recommend this company. read more

I asked Road Runner Yard Maintenance to come out and clean up my yard of all the leaves, 4x4's, and other debris, take out excess Flagstone, and lay down some additional walking paths for me utilizing the Flagstone I had in my backyard. First, the job took significantly longer than was promised. Part of it was the weather, part of it was because they only had a two person crew, and there were several instances where I had to have them pull out the Flagstone because it was a tripping hazard and was not level. They did that with no problem and no complaints. They did not however remove all the debris from my yard or the 4 x 4 posts that I specifically asked them to remove; it is specifically mentioned in their quote. Then when I had my sprinkler guy come out to look at fixing my drip system, and get me ready for the season, he noticed that several of the sprinkler heads were covered by Flagstone and crusher fines. I have tried to work with the manager Martin Arrellin to reimburse me for the sprinkler heads that had to be moved, and he is saying that because I wrote up a "map" of where I wanted the flagstone pathways to be, he's not responsible for covering the sprinkler heads. However, when I spoke with my sprinkler guy, he said that any professional and responsible landscaping company would immediately stop work in the areas where there were sprinkler heads that had to be moved and notify me as to my path forward. Instead, they just covered them. Now I have to pay for having them moved and they are unwilling to negotiate with me regarding reimbursement. I also still have tripping hazards with the Flagstone and the edging that was added (which I paid a premium price for). The two laborers that were here doing the work were very nice, and worked very hard. It's unfortunate they didn't have the required experience to move the sprinkler heads before laying flagstone and crusher fines over them. read more

I called Roadrunner for help with restoring my back and front yard. I wanted grass, a pond and new plants put in. Martin and Paul installed irrigation for all of my plants, and a sprinkler system for my grass. My grass looks beautiful and my plants are finally green and blooming thanks to never missing a watering with the times system they installed. I'm so happy with my front and back yard. The team we had was Martin and Paul. The first time we needed their help was with cleanup and touchups in our back yard. I had a broken foot at the time and they went above and beyond with regards to accommodating what I needed. Their service was so good that I hired them twice more, once for a property I owned and a second time to redo a waterfall feature in my back yard. It was a three day project for the waterfall. They were punctual on each day, worked diligently, and always gave my wife and I an update towards progress made and next steps. Martin was always available to answer questions and was accurate with timelines. Although it may seem small, we have a puppy and shet one year old during the project.The fact that they were friendly with my dog and remembered her birthday meant the world to us as well.
