Witnesses reported seeing my son fly through the air and then roll on the ground in pain. The ambulance arrived and "evaluated" him at the scene and quickly determined he was "fine." He felt like he was practically told to get out of the ambulance. He couldn't bear normal weight on his leg, so held onto the ambulance to hoist himself out and then hopped/limped to his bike. By the time he got on his (damaged) helmet and started his (no longer street legal, damaged) bike, the ambulance was gone. He rode home, having to reach down to shift with his hand because he couldn't move his leg to shift. It's nothing short of a miracle he didn't pass out on 23 and get killed. He wasn't "fine." He suffered a broken leg, multiple contusions, hit his head, and was clearly in shock. These "professionals" missed a BROKEN LEG. They told a motorcyclist who was IN SHOCK that he could go. You'd think professional EMTs would be able to identify shock and a broken leg. You'd think wrong, apparently. I was stunned at how they literally encouraged him to take himself home. My son got the feeling that they didn't want to transport him, and he guessed it was probably because the accident happened around lunchtime. So if you get smashed on your motorcycle by a pickup, try to do it when you won't get in the way of the EMT's lunch, ok? When I was sent a survey, I returned it with a complaint letter explaining what had happened. (I hadn't called prior because I was busy with my son's injury, and he didn't know what ambulance service came. I had to find that out later.) In spite of the egregious, irresponsible behavior described in my letter, neither of us ever heard from Huron Valley Ambulance. It's been long enough now that if we were going to hear from them, we would have. It's clear this company can't be bothered. Oh, by the way... Our insurance was charged $600 for this "care." Unbelievable.

Christina at hotel reception was so nice and asked if we wanted rooms across the hall or next door to each other in addition to offering a city or river view. I chose river and mostly see top of the parking structure and the freeway. City view was much better and I'll choose it next time! The hotel is very clean and room is spacious with plenty of space to lounge and relax. There's a Keurig coffee maker and a mini refrigerator, along with a robe, safe, flat screen TV, desk and plenty of electrical outlets. Bed is comfortable and there are blackout drapes if you want to sleep in. The bridge to casino is on the third floor and everything is easily accessible including two Dunkin's onsite and a food court. My package came with $20 in free play and $30 in food and beverage. Nice touch! Due to it being 250 anniversary of USA we received a free t-shirt. Overall I really enjoyed my stay including a late checkout!

I have never wanted to leave a hotel so bad in my life. I was in town for a wedding, staying in Detroit, Thurs - Sun for my first time visiting. Check in was amazing and we had a great conversation and I was happy and looking forward to my stay. I booked one night to make sure I was okay staying at a Casino hotel which I loved but everything went downhill from there. Once I was in my room I called to ask for a later check out which I was told it's complimentary by other employees. The lady on the phone told me it's complimentary depending on the associate, and to call back and ask in the morning. I thought that was weird but I was exhausted from flying all day so I said okay. The next morning as I'm getting ready for a family meeting, I remember oh I need to call and ask again. So I call, and I'm on hold for over 5 mins and when she answers, she says "How can I help you room 2021?" She basically yells with an attitude. I'm extremely caught off guard, so I ask, I was told I could call and ask for a 12 noon checkout and she says, "it's $40" very rudely then I say, oh okay I was told to ask, she says "it's $40". Just rude, I said okay thank you, then she just hung up. Whoever answered the phone on Friday June 26th between 9:30AM-9:45AM needs some customer service training. She's the reason I don't think I'll be back. The room was also not fully cleaned and needs work. I paid $462 for the room for one night and could get a complimentary free 12:00pm checkout??? I moved to the Sheraton for my last 2 days and had the best time. I wish I could like this hotel and had a better experience.

Pretty much everything including the furniture is original FLW and lovingly cared for across only 2 owners over the past 70+ years. It's only a few minutes from downtown Ann Arbor and yet within the house it feels like you're in the middle of nowhere not only surrounded by nature but part of it. Plan to spend some significant time in the house if you're staying here, and watch the squirrels, chipmunks, and deer outside that are often right by the windows or will stare at you since you're kind of in their wilderness environment. There are of course quirks about the house and rules given the significance of this FLW "Usonian" house and the costs to maintain and/or repair anything that might have issues. If you're a FLW fan or just like unique experiences definitely check out this house that can be rented through AirBnB or VRBO. There are 7 FLW houses in the U.S. which are available to rent as far as I know, and I'm going to say this is likely the best. Bravo!

I was looking for unique accommodation in Ann Arbor (other than middle-of-the-road corporate…read morehotels, very hard to find), when I found this unique Frank Lloyd Wright-designed vacation rental on V.R.B.O. So, I decided to book it for a couple days over the Labour Day weekend. The property owners were very nice to us, and made sure we were set for our sojourn in Ann Arbor. Renting this home is not for everybody, that's for sure. You have to put up with F.L.W.'s eccentric designs, and just go with the flow, and see the beauty of this particular home. For, the beds are not rectangular, more triangular. The bathrooms are small, the doors narrow (Mr. & Mrs. Palmer were petite people, as was F.L.W.). Living and dining rooms are spacious, yet, feature F.L.W.'s signature (hard) custom furniture, not exactly comfortable as more modern furniture we're all used to by now. The kitchen is quite small, but, workable for the simplest self-catering - don't expect a Viking range! Remember, this is a 50's home, pretty much left 'as is' in that decade of design. To conclude, one really must love architecture and design in order to make the most out of a stay here. Do not rent this property thinking it will be luxurious and modern by 2000's standards, this will be a big disappointment for you.
