I am so lucky to have found this place! I have a personal trainer, Kelly. She is great. I have also trained with Diane. They are very attentive to my goals, limitations and challenges. They don't push, they encourage. You come out tired but inspired. The business has a loyal following and everyone is so friendly. Before Covid I was training once a week and saw results pretty quickly. During the Covid lockdown they made You Tube videos and FB videos to keep their members engaged and healthy. Technically, it was after 2 weeks so they went ahead and charged my card $209 for the monthly fee. I disputed the charge and they fought it. Why? Out of spite. The email I received from them stated that if I had "asked for a refund" they would've "considered it". Isn't that sweet? But because I disputed the charge they submitted paperwork showing the issue "No refunds". I sent a follow up email stating since me and her mom don't reside together there was a misunderstanding and I asked nicely they reconsider the refund and I apologized.... No reply! So the facts are I took my daughter for a 15 minute try out, never attended 1 class and was charged $209. That's my kind of family friendly business! Money hungry and spiteful. Find someplace else to take your children

The equipment is standard CrossFit stuff, made by Valor. They also have rowers and echo bikes. There is a long row on the back wall of bars for pull-ups, muscle ups etc. I've done a couple unofficial workouts here with local community members and friends and family of the owner. I've invited a couple friends as well. Everyone has felt welcome and they go over everything for the newbies. They're keen on letting people know how to modify or scale the workout according to your fitness level, age, injuries etc. I have never had any issue finding equipment for the workout. There is enough to go around. The warmup sometimes is a little jog around the parking lot and they have it all measured. I can't wait for this place to be up and running fully. I hear they may have a cool hangout area, lockers, showers, even a tanning bed. We shall see! In the meantime- they are on instagram so check them out there for more info.

There are many clients that have been here as long, or longer than me. I appreciate the classbased teaching, with an individualized touch. The coaches and owners know my name. There is such a sense of community here. I have a complete home gym, but I still love coming to CrossFit EW for the community and a class. I certainly push myself more in a group situation, and I appreciate the coaches watching each one of us, giving tips and tricks and pointers. They won't even go so far as to tell you how much weight to lift or give you additional exercise options if you're not comfortable with a particular exercise or if you were not very proficient in a particular exercise. I appreciate their expertise. This gym is not a typical CrossFit gym because it has a towel service, clean bathrooms, clean showers, plenty of parking, as well as a small bar area which serves protein shakes to order. The equipment is in good shape, and there is plenty of equipment for everyone in the class. You also don't have to clean up after yourself, like some CrossFit gyms, this place has a cleaning crew and the coaches are very good about keeping it clean. Of course you have to return your own equipment, you can't leave it sitting out, but those are the same rules for any gym. There are new monthly challenges, a whiteboard to post your personal goals, and fun member events sporadically throughout the year. This is a great gym to start your journey of fitness. They focus on physical and mental well-being, exercise, and nutrition. There are so many different classes and courses available, as well as individualized training. No notification on transition of membership and Elite (JoJo) tells me they knew nothing about Tribe's liability that should have sat on Tribe's balance sheet and discovered during due diligence of the acquisition. If anyone else lost money in this transaction, message me please. When one entity acquires another, they acquire their assets AND liabilities.

PITYFitness Pilates, an extension of PITYFitness, is a Pilates studio located in a stunning historic building that is over 100 years old. It offers a boutique experience with classes limited to just four people at a time, all using brand new reformer machines. Our group had varying levels of experience, ranging from professionals to beginners (like me), and Crystal managed to guide us effectively both as a class and on an individual basis. Crystal was amazing- she provided constant guidance, curated an excellent playlist, and delivered a solid workout in a lovely setting. I genuinely wish her and the studio all the best. I will definitely be booking more classes; I'm still feeling the burn! Just to note, since it may be hard to find -the studio is upstairs above Tang Soo Do, the martial arts studio and is accessible by both the front staircase or the one behind the building by PITYFitness. Parking is ample, park in the municipal lot!

The class can be demanding at times as you push yourself towards progress, but it is also a lot of fun. I credit Coach Crystal for the strong inner core that I have today. I've been…read morecoming to this gym on and off since May of 2011 everytime I came home from military training. They focus on the original Idea of crossfit, "Lots of pushups, pull ups, situps, burpees, etc" instead of the the heavy lifting 145lb snatches you would see at other crossfit gyms. Which helped me with alot of my military fitness tests over the last year and half and to me, seems more practical. Now that I am home for the time being, I go here almost everyday. Its so addicting. On a side note, I was in a bad car accident in March, ended up gaining 40lbs. Went back in July and have worked out almost everyday since and I lost those 40lbs and not to mention Im stronger than I ever was before. I never thought I would be able to do the things I was able to do before my accident ever again but John and the rest of the coaches motivated me everyday and for that, I am forever grateful.
