There's a big play area for the older kids and a smaller but plenty big area for the younger kids to play on. My son is only 17 months but loves to climb and I can appreciate that this park was designed for smaller kids in mind and there are less places where he could yeet himself off so as a parent I don't have to watch every single step he makes.

Our friends have their Rock Super Bowl at this park each year, they have been holding this event…read moreannually so it's their Rock Super Bowl IX. We had a blast! Basically, a battle of the local rock and roll bands - a variety of different members from different bands come together on two teams for one day with a purpose to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Tickets are only $5, bring a foldup chair, 10x10 tent, a cooler and it's a great time watching all of our friends compete with one another on the field. Torcaso Cove Park is a great place to hold this event. There is a spacious field with plenty of space on the sidelines for fans. There are several parking areas available making parking easy for large events. There was plenty of space for a half-time show with live music right by the field. There were also a BBQ vendor and several other vendors on site selling food, jewelry, and other items. The park has a public restroom, a playground, splash park, sand pits, plenty of paved walking areas, a picnic area with tables, large pavilion, a beautiful bridge that crosses the heart shaped cove, the park has a bunch of Muscovy ducks waddling around and is dog friendly, what else can you ask for. Nancy and I really enjoyed our time at the park, we will definitely be back to bring our dog and take a nice walk. I just have to mention that it was a bit muddy on the field, even on a hot sunny day. So be sure to wear something you don't care about getting dirty.

Full of ducks and turtles, and I always make sure to bring oatmeal and frozen peas so I can spend a little time with them. You can feed them from the bridge, or the beach. They will surround you LOL. There are 3 play areas: 2 for the big kids, and a pirate themed area for the little kids. There is also a splash pad, and I will openly admit to running through recently, as I chose to go on my run when it was over 95 degrees. The park is very clean, and well cared for, and it's right next to the Winter Springs Police Department, and on this day they had an event bringing awareness to autism; I was offered a popsicle and gladly grabbed it. I sat on a bench to watch a soccer match, while I finished my cold treat, stretched a bit, put on my weighted vest, waved to the ducks, and took off. Perfect park on a perfect day :)

I also like that the ground is the padded type for two playgrounds and the whole park is fenced in. The park is right off a busy section of 436 in Altamonte so it's a good thing it is fenced in. There are few parking spots next to the playground, otherwise there are more parking spaces if you follow the signs to a separate lot. If you're desperate for a bathroom, you'll still have to get in your car and drive down the street. My suggestion would be Panera or Walgreens.

I paid $40 for a reservation on a Saturday morning that could have held up to 40 people and it was located right next to the restrooms and there was even a beach volleyball set up which was really fun. They have classes and activities on site and daytime trips around the Central Florida area that begin there. Trip prices cost less than what would be paid on your own and include transportation, lunch, and entry/ticket for the event. Also, the people who work there are professional and thoughtful. If the event is full, you can be placed on a wait list, and someone will call if there is a cancellation. You are missing out on fun and interesting things to do if you fail to check out what is offered.

There are multiple levels with lots of places for princes and princesses to unleash their imagination. Picnic tables are also in this area for when you need to rest a spell. This area has a lot of trees providing shade and restrooms are only a few feet away. This castle playground is truly enchanting.
