Updating my experience since my last review at the end of July. After talking, texting and emailing the team, consisting of Trevor, James and Shannon, I was able to get my boat fixed -hooray! I picked it up yesterday, and met Shannon in person for the first time. She was lovely! She met me at the boat and went over what was fixed and physically showed me what was wrong and how they completed the repairs successfully. Then she brought me to her office to go over the invoice while my husband was given a more in depth completion walk through with a wonderful mechanic, Jason Carter. Shannon went over the invoice line by line, offering me deeper explanation of how my boat works-which was much appreciated by me not knowing much about the mechanical side. She even found some errors and reduced my bill, stating she would not want me to feel "ripped off!" After my conversations with Legendary staff as a whole- after voicing my complaints and frustration- the team did an amazing job communicating with me throughout the remaining few weeks they had my boat. I was given updates on progress at every few days, including pictures. The only thing we are still waiting on revolves around Regal manufacturers themselves. If you aren't interested, reach out and let the potential future customer know instead of burning bridges. Plenty of other places to purchase a boat and get some respect along with it. Pathetic. I have been in the area in the marine industry since 1979. I hate to say it, but Legendary in Destin is NOT somewhere I can recommend to have your boat serviced. As long as you limit them to hauling, launching, and washing your boat, you'll be OK.. I really do not wish to post details because there are a couple of good people that work there, but it seems many lack the experience, expertise, and integrity expected from reputable boat dealers. read more

Purchased a boat conducted sea trial. On delivery damage noted to haul boat that was not previously seen prior to purchase was given US Coast Guard equipment for boat however, extinguisher was expired and life vests were moldy. Additional damage to inside of bathroom cabinets was told that boat came with ski tow bar however sales person provided in accurate information. This was all after having issues with sales personnel at the Destin and Panama City location which already resulted in a free warranty for boat because of all of the issues leading up to the purchase examples include not wanting to show boats that were on consignment and only wanting to show new boats to me not returning phone calls and getting the runaround with GM of legendary so frustrated with this business that I am seeking legal advice for how to pursue ongoing issues. Would not recommend purchasing a boat from this business would give very low if not negative score for review. read more

I bought a used boat from them and they said they replaced fuel cooler kits , water housing assembly , impellor and after I hired two mechanics to go through entire boat they said none of the work had been done . the original thermostat was still in water assembly housing . also bildge pump and bow light weren't working and had to fix them at my expense . I've come to the conclusion dealerships will just make up stuff to make you feel better . bring a mechanic to verify all work at inspection . read more

I have paid for annual hurricane storage for the last 4 years thru Legendary Marine . Fortunately I have not had to use the service but happy to pay for it just in case we get his bye a large storm. My annual contract was ending August 7 and I hadn't heard anything from Legendary so I reach out to my previous contact via email the week prior to the contact next day the email bounced back undeliverable. I tried the other contact I had and that one bounced back undeliverable. I reached out to a contact in another department and was given the contact info of the new person in charge of storage. I reached out to her and was curtly informed my spot in the hurricane spot had been;eased to another party and I could join the wait list if I so desired. I was told, incorrectly, that I was emailed but didn't respond. I can find no trace of such email in my spam or junk folder. One would think that it would be worth a quick call to a long term customer to make sure they had been reached but the message from the contact and local manager was basically tough sh~t. I was on my own. I hear Legendary has been sold to a group that owns a number or marinas in Florida. Let's we aren't so fortunate that they buy more local marina. Where to start. August 2020 there was a hurricane that had our boat in the neighbors yard. We had the boat towed to Legendary and was told the boat would be ready by December. Every week we call Trevor and he says it will be ready this weekend, and another weekend goes by. When we said we would have it trailered to another business to be worked on they promised it would be done by Memorial Day. And that was a lie. Fast forward to today, June 19th and our boat is STILL not ready. It seems like Legendary takes care of their boat club members, and disregards the people who own slips and need work done on their boats. I would suggest not purchasing a boat, storing a boat or having work done on your boat from Legendary. Legendary just pushes you off and has zero customer service, never once offered up a loaner boat to use, and now it is looking like our summer boat season will not be happening. Learn from our mistake and don't think the big building means lots of people willing and able to help. There are other marinas in the area! read more

Not a memorable experience bringing one of my 3 boats to Legendary Marine for what I thought may be warranty work. Felt they took excessive liberty by spending more man hours to fix a $6.00 plastic prop part than it should. 4 weeks and $840 later I got my boat back. Zero communication from the parts and service manager during the course of repair. I initiated all communication in order to get updates. Loved getting an invoice with no explanation of what "miscellaneous charges" were that ended up on the bill. The service manager should take some customer service classes on calling the customer and manage expectations. I guess I wasn't a big enough fish to warrant such proactiveness. My business will go somewhere else. read more

We fished out of Legendary Marine with harsh weather conditions. We fished as long as we could given the weather. Even tho we ended early my family had a blast. We caught our live bait with a net and went around to some fishing spots. Our captain was incredibly friendly and he ended up actually voiding our payment because we ended a couple hours early. I would definitely come back here again and would recommend anyone wanting to fish at all levels to come here! Had an awesome first time! read more

Horrible experience!! They have had my boat 2.5 months to replace a powerhead and a little livewell plumbing. They charged me 4.5k more than the estimate for 1 powerhead and never told me about any extra cost until it was done....surprise, surprise. If I would have known this I would have bought 3 used motors for this price. I'm still waiting for the livewell plumbing to get finished and some very minor upholstery work....this is 2.5 months and counting. Trevor the service manager will not return emails or calls, you might get lucky on his cell but then he never follows-up on the conversation that took place. Go anywhere else but here. read more

Disingenuous business practices. I was purchasing a boat in Destin Fl for transport, I made arrangements with the marina to lift and place boat on to the transport trailer. These arrangements and confirmation were made on 8/26 for a transporter date of 9/1. On 8/31 @3pm I called the marina to change the haul date to 9/2 due to transporter issues, I was then told that they weren't going to pick up the boat. They further informed me that they were going to notify me that the 9/1 haul was cancelled. I asked the person on the phone as to why after confirmations were agreed, he simply stated the yard manger said we cannot accommodate that type of boat. I stated this was arranged last week, the boat type hasn't changed and as a matter of fact that boat was on your property for sale? Once again stated the yard manager said no. I was outraged at this, the person I spoke with had no resolution other than try another marina. Because of their lack of performance the haul cost me an additional $300 which to me is the cost of doing business but why commit until the 11th hour then decline service. I just wonder if I did not contact the marina because of the transporter delay and all remained as scheduled would they of just blown off the transporter on 9/1 ? I have been boating for over 30yrs I have never had a business deal like this with a marina, thoughtless customer service. I strongly advise anyone to refrain in doing business with this operation, a multi million dollar facility with no customer service is disgusting. I gather the owners of the business are either non-existent in the daily operation or just permit their employees to tarnish a reputation I'm certain took years to establish. read more

There is simply no comparison to the level of attentiveness found at Legendary. From the sales team to the service personnel, no one holds a candle. Updated Review on Legendary Marine. We recently purchased a Marquis 420 Sport Bridge from Neil. I have to compliment him. It was a long process with a few ups and downs. Neil stayed with it every day and was extremely responsive, very helpful in all matters and remains in touch to this day. I would honestly buy another boat from him in a heartbeat. The marina staff at Legendary were also very nice and helpful. It does feel very friendly and is much more like an extended family. We rented a pontoon and two jet skis for the afternoon. They were very accommodating helping us get all of our things onto the and familiarizing us with the equipment. The jet skis were awesome brand new Sea-Doo Sparks that ripped around well! The boat was nice and accommodated our elderly passengers well. I brought our boat to Legendary to have some minor scratches replaced, get a quote on replacing the Sea Deck, and check the motor for low oil pressure. Unfortunatley, they couldn't get the oil pressure to drop while they had it, which is understandable. It happens with vehicles too lol. I had asked for the entire boat to be poilished and waxed, and some scratches fixed. THey gave me a quote. When the work was said to be completed, they delivered my boat for me(at no cost), but after inspecting it, I found the scratches were not fixed, and there were some new ones. They immediately came and picked it back up, and repaired everything. I am please with their service. There a bit of lack of communication. I did have to call a coupl etimes a week to get any updates or the quotes I asked for. Other than that, they did a good job. read more

We just purchased a new 2018 Crest pontoon boat from Legendary marine in Destin. I wish I had never even stopped, it would have saved a lot of headaches and time. They have not done anything they said they would do, all the way from the GM Todd Royal to the service manager Trevor. I was told by Trevor that he would call me on Thursday afternoon or Friday morning at the latest, I guess I should have asked which Friday of what year. Legendary has had my brand new 100k boat for over a month and I cant get anyone to return a phone call. Left a message for GM to call me that they needed to buy the boat back and no call. I wish I could leave ZERO stars. The customer service at this place is horrendous. We put down a deposit to hold a boat until we could sea trial it, we were told we would be "cut a check" immediately if we decided not to go ahead with the purchase. After awful customer service we decided we did not want to purchase our boat there so we asked that our deposit be returned. The sales guy told us he didn't handle that but he would inform the finance department that we wanted it returned. We waited over a week with zero communication about our refund. I called THREE TIMES after the week had passed and left messages (on the third time the front desk lady argued with me saying I've never called) and finally the VERY rude finance guy answered my call and informed me that "we don't get a check". I then had to ask how I get my money back and he said "yup it was processed the 11th, you'll see it soon". Well, awesome but I shouldn't have to go through all of this hassle and rude people just to get an answer. I do not recommend them. Big box retail type service, if they don't get what they want from you, they treat you like dirt. So happy we took our money elsewhere to buy a boat. read more

I highly recommend them if you need to have your boat serviced. I won't let another service center touch my boat. Called the service folks to have my 290DP Volvo outdrive worked on and the manager said no problem, he has two certified Volvo mechanics. So I pulled my 24ft boat to them an hour and half, and left it there. A week later I called because I hadn't heard a word, and the manager said they didn't have the tools necessary to pull the prop shafts. Wasted a week with these folks not to mention the fuel cost. I didn't expect to be lied to like this. Should have ordered the tools necessary to do the job, and did it! They sure could afford the tools. Don't trust this outfit.... read more

I would strongly recommend considering other dealers when looking to purchase a boat. I purchased a brand new 2016 model for over $100K, and it was delivered with the incorrect upholstery color, despite extensive efforts during the customer build process to get it right. I am now investing another $4500 to correct this issue. I also had a fairly minor warranty issue, and it was not handled as timely as you would think on a brand new custom boat. read more

I found a boat online in multiple places in Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia for thousands of dollars less than what Legendary was charging for the same boat and I went to the Fort Walton location and was treated with respect and even though they could not match the price they could come close they said. I wanted to look a another model that was thousand of dollar less at the other dealers but the Fort Walton Store did not have the boat in stock and they sent me to the Destin Location. I spoke to a Lance and his price was $2000.00 higher than the lower priced boat of the same make in Fort Walton. WOW. Was he trying to screw me or what. When I told him I would not mind paying a little more for the boat so I would not have to travel to Georgia he gave me a price that was still thousand more than i could buy it out of state, he then told me if I bought the boat somewhere else "GOOD LUCK IN FINDING SOMEONE TO DO THE WARRANTY WORK ON IT." I left and when I got a phone call from Legendary Marine a few days latter I told them on the phone exactly what happen. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. We reserved a boat from the marina months in advance and were told 20 min before the rental that are boat was unavailable and that if we wanted a different boat we would have to pay double what we were originally quoted. Customer service was horrible and the manager was very unsympathetic of his businesses issues. Go to any other marina available and if nothing else is open go to the beach and enjoy your day knowing that you didn't have to deal with these people. read more

If you are rich and have all the money in the world, this place is great. They charge for every little thing, even when they make a mistake. The service depart is highly over price while similar service at other local marinas is 1/2 to 1/3 the price. But for those without trailers you are subject to delays in service. Multiple times Ive had to become the squeaky wheel to get anything accomplished. The Marina is a completely separate entity and only they only talk when $ is involved. While the people are nice its more geared for those who dont care about what they spend. Almost everytime I had my boat put in the water, it wS no less than 15-30 minutes late with a few times of a hour ( and would have been 2 hours if if i didnt complain) late. The dock hands are very helpful so that is one positive. However when the Marina says they wash and flush the boat its only from the waterline down. Almost everytime I receivedd my boat it was covered in a grey soot/dirt which i can only guess is from the boat above mine leaking down. If I didnt think or or two individuals were extremely helpful, i wouldnt use this Marina at all, but as there is no better closer alternative i am forced to. Also if you purchase a boat with warrantys, beware, as the warrntys do NOT cover any damage from water.(who would have taught a warranty on a boat doesnt cover probalems associated with water). If a seal break, and there is water that ruins other parts, its water damage not a broke seal. So save yourself the money. read more
