We had a good experience with this company. Before renting we had called a couple of times with questions that they readily answered. Booking was easy online. Once there, the staff we helpful, even putting our stuff in the pontoon boat. We also enjoyed the free kayak. Of the 4 places or so that we called, SeaChase had the most reasonable prices. Only negative from out trip was that the boat stalled out shortly after we drove past crab island (we wanted to explore before docking at carb island). We called the company and the lady takes us through what to do but according to her the engine wasn't warmed up enough. Overall, we'll definitely rent from them next time we're in town. read more

We loved our experience! We went for a bachelorette party and the week before we went, our husbands took the same boat and had Chase as their driver, as well. They had a blast and so did we! Very professional, yet fun! Our driver took care of our trash and brought anything we needed out to us and also kept to the safety of the trampoline and slide making sure to only do those in deeper waters! Terrible service. We rented a pontoon boat for 8 hours. The boat came with a paddle board so we rented an additional kayak for our teenagers. They gave us the wrong paddle for the kayak therefore it was useless on the trip. They told us that 1/4 tank of gas was plenty for us. They were wrong as we ran out of fuel half way through. My husband knows plenty about engines. He is a Navy veteran, a pilot and also a mechanical engineer. When the engine was sputtering a few times, he immediately got close to shore and was able to find a marina to pull into to check. The engine died as we were backing into the fueling dock. We called the rental office and they could not help us . They could not tell when the boat was last fueled and the burn rate. They were sure that there were still fuel in the tank as the gauge still shows 1/4 tank when it died. We put 10 gallons in the tank to get back to the dock, but they refused to reimburse us the cost of fuel when we have the receipt to prove it. This is just bad customer service. Advice: Make sure to demand a full tank of gas and check your rental gears for proper equipment prior to leaving the dock. read more

After confirming the price multiple times this company decided to call within 12 hours of our reservation stating that they would charge an additional $200. This company has been completely unprofessional and has not given us any more information on our reservation. Was told a manager would contact us & 4 hrs later, still no call. We rented a pontoon for our family of 6 +pup. Super easy online process that requires 15% down payment to reserve your slots. You can do 4 hour blocks (9:30AM and then 2PM I believe). $50/hr over. It was about $300 for the half day block. We had to pay $50 non refundable fee for having a pet. I was annoyed as my dog is 12 years old, 6lbs and fully potty trained. It should be a refundable deposit. The boats were in great condition and easy to drive. Each boat includes a map of how to get to crab island and Okaloosa (sp?) island. I suggest going earlier in the day when the sun is less intense and it is easier to anchor at crab island. Parking: Large free parking lot out front. read more

We came back to SEAChase this year after using them 2 summers ago. They were awesome then and they are awesome now! The booking process is easy and their customer service is top notch. The boat was super clean and appeared to be in excellent condition (I'm not a boat expert but it appeared to be well taken care of). We experienced an issue with the power steering (due to the kayak falling off the back of the boat and hitting something on the way down- oops!) and the way they handled the situation was beyond professional and courteous. We called and they came right out to us on the bay, brought us another boat to use and even extended our full day rental by an additional hour. We truly could not recommend this company more!! I was told $350, during my requested date (23 May)- Memorial Day Weekend. I was called yesterday, and told that the price would now be $550, due to the holiday weekend. Giving me only 24hrs of notice! When I told them that was the price quoted to me initially, I was told that "the person you spoke with previously should've told you"... no resolution was given. I will never do service with this company again. I would say to stray far away from this greedy, selfish money hungry company. No wonder they've received so many negative reviews! It shows. The boat we rented broke down and left us stranded. The worker was annoyed that he had to hep us. He hopped on our boat, jumped started it and left us again. They should have given us another boat. They were rude and unprofessional all the way around. Rent from someone else that runs a professional service with the proper equipment. Also, we left a 20% tip at the time of rental thinking all was well. They encouraged us to leave the tip initially, I should have known better because I NEVER would have tipped these people after all of that. read more

Everyone from the phone to onsite staff were awesome. I know they must hate tourists by now, but you'd never know it. If it were staff alone, they'd get 5 plus stars! The boat was not in the best shape. Right off the jump, the latch on the cabinet with life jackets broke, when we were out we realized the gate on the bow was rigged together with mismatched screws and wasn't functioning (kind of screwed shut), the ladder was attached by only 2 of 4 screws, and a huge dent on the stern. Really not that big of a deal, just wasn't a 5. However, it ran well and aesthetically looked good at first glance; we also got a paddle board in perfect shape. We had a blast and will absolutely rent from here again. read more

Rented a pontoon here while on vacation. Be aware that Google Maps will send you to the wrong address, use a different nav program. The dock is still hard to find so call them and they will guide you in, they are very friendly. The boat was fine but we did pay a full-price rental fee for a boat that had no radio or gas gauge. The lack of gas gauge really put a damper on my fun, I just couldn't relax while wandering just when (in the middle of the bay) we would be stranded. It looked like the dashboard's electrical wires had just been pulled out and left there to sit. Again, a radio and gas gauge would've made our day much more enjoyable so check those before you leave the dock. We will likely use these folks on our next trip to Destin. read more

Staff were very helpful overall getting us set up and returning the pontoon boat and communicated frequently. However our boat was worn with mold on some of the seating. I understand that Destin is a humid climate but the mold can be removed. Also there were no dock lines for use to tie up at a waterside restaurants which was frustrating. horrible experience.. Started out to be a good day....rented the boat and headed to crab island...stayed there for a couple of hours and then decided to look for dolphins. Shortly after that the boat begin to stall and "struggle", I made a call and explained the situation, horrible phone reception, but was told unless the boat was dead, with 18 boats coming in, no one could be released to swap boats, I stated, it was running, but struggling, was sputtering,we headed in to follow the shoreline, because of the children on board... Then it was running again,I called back and said it is running again... but since it had issues, we decided to just head back, still had over an hour left on rental. Got to the pass (mouth of the harbor) and the boat DIED.That is when I had a moment of panic and I called for help, again poor phone reception, got a nasty text back from the owner with a threat of calling the FWC. ..was called liars, moochers and trouble makers by the owner. Threatened us with surveillance video (that I in fact asked to view)....asked to meet in person, but the owner declined...Only ask for a full refund AFTER the owner responded to a call for help with a rude text message threatening to send the "FWC" or water police, which we later found out that was non existent. I had actually thought that was a brilliant idea, someone to get us out of the situation we were in, stuck in the pass with a dead boat, with young children on board, ages 4, 9, and 10 along with a 13 year old and adults. We were called "large people", was called "overly dramatic" about our situation. Very unprofessional behavior on the part of a business owner....We have been vacationing in Destin for the past 20 years, and have always rented pontoon boats, we are in fact boat owners ourselves, so we are not inexperienced. Was told that another rental company had refused us, which was an out and out lie....Said my husband was rude because of having to sign a waiver, as I said, we are very familiar with protocol when renting, the aggravation if any was due to the fact that the waiver was not handed to him until we were boarding the boat. My husband was accused of tampering with the boat to make it appear to have died, when in fact he was trying to get us to the dock, the boat died several more times while heading back to dock, "the boat dies, you turn off the ignition, put the boat in neutral and try starting again", this is the so called tampering act that occurred.....ridiculous. The deckhand was giving us directions to dock, when I yelled, the boat is DEAD, swim and get us (while joking at this point), this to could be witnessed on "said surveillance" video. The deckhand then climbed aboard and raised the hood off the motor and gave suggestions on what the issue could be. Again, not the story that is being told, but the surveillance video would prove this. YES I did have a moment of severe panic while stuck in a dead boat in the pass with boats coming and going all around us, with my grand babies on board, and YES I did get upset when we docked and confronted the girl in the hut, but as soon as I realized she was not the owner, I apologized and stated that I would like to meet with the owner in person. That request was declined. We talked with the crew and again with the girl in the hut and all was good between them and us...I do not hold them accountable. A 300.00 rental will not make or break us, just saying. read more

Super friendly staff and very reasonable prices. Really enjoyed the free kayak to explorer. The boats are some of the newest that we have seen in the area and are well taken care of. Being new to the area we had no idea of where to go and they helped us with that. I particularly enjoyed how my phone could pair with the boats stereo to enjoy tunes while we were cruising.
