What an amazing experience. Not only were we 10 minutes late when we should've been an hour early because I was having trouble getting my boaters test completed, they walked me through that helped me. We were afraid we wouldn't get our full 4 hour because of the delay, we did. We were told not to go to crab island because of the weather which is the whole reason we rented a boat, but the young man recommended some private lesser known islands that ended up being just as if not more fun having a whole island to our selves. I cannot say enough great things about this place! I knew my experience was starting off great when someone else booked the boat we wanted while I was on the phone, and the girl upgraded us to the larger boat with a 10% off discount. That is customer service! It is a little hard to find if you've never been, as the road is directly to the side of getting on the bridge so beware of that. Upon arrival we were quickly greeted with smiling faces who eagerly helped us get everything taken care of. Check in was very easy, the guys helped us load our coolers and had us on our way in minutes. They greeted us quickly when they saw us returning and helped us load up our cars, which they did not have to do and was above and beyond in my opinion! We had such an incredible time boating to Crab Island. It was the most beautiful day making memories & sharing happiness with my family. We can't wait to visit again! read more

We had a WONDERFUL experience! Rented three jet skis for an hour (which was cheaper than two for 30 minutes just down from where we were staying). We booked for 9am and it was a bit cheaper than later in the day. They provided the life jackets and reminded us to keep them on the whole time. I was happy to hear that and told them we knew how important that was! We even saw a dolphin by Crab Island. The reservation was easy, check-in was easy, they provided wonderful directions and we had a blast. The jet skis were comfortable and nice. Bring your ID and be ready for a great time. Wow! What a great experience. The online reservation was easy and seamless. It took us a bit to find the check-in site, but seemed so obvious after we found it. The pontoon boat was brand new, clean and comfortable for our day out on the water. We spent time at Crab Island, several bays and just cruising. With the boat equipped Bluetooth, we listened to our own favorite music and thoroughly enjoyed seeing schools of fish, crabs and dolphins. This is an experience we will repeat every trip back! The staff was so friendly and helpful. It felt like we had rented with them tons of times instead of this being the first. Check-in and out was a breeze, the owner is super nice and the helpful instructors were so much fun. Just a great time all around. Thank you all! read more

Top notch service! After an hour, we docked for a pit stop and they even topped off our tank. They helped us load anything especially our heavy ice chest.The guys there were pleasant and quick to help! We rented a 20 ft pontoon and a lily pad. The boat was clean and ran well and the lily pad was huge! With 2 adults, deploying the pad was easy. We had 5 people but could have easily fit 10. Great experience- great price, friendly staff, & THE best customer service. The office staff were helpful and friendly. The dockhands helped load our belongings into the boat & showed us where life jackets, boat registration, & fire extinguisher were located. We had smooth sailing to Crab Island, about 15 minutes away. The pontoon boat was clean & everything was in working order. The owner, Ben, is a stand up guy. We had an issue unrelated to the boat rental that caused us to have to end our day early. Ben listened to our story and immediately offered us a complimentary spot on the sunset cruise for the next night due to our day being cut short due to unforeseen circumstances. His customer service surpassed our expectations and showed that he is truly an owner who cares about his customers' experience. 100% recommend Power Up Watersports and we'll be back to rent from them again! read more

Service~ 0/5 Where do I even begin? This place is a total S-C-A-M. If there was an option to give 0 stars, I would press it in a heartbeat. We rented 2 jet skis for 3 whole hours. We are a pretty cautious family, so we treat things how we'd want outsiders to treat our stuff. As we returned the jet skis, the workers showed us videos of damaging the jet skis. We asked for time stamps to that video but they never showed them to us. We are sure they save that video to attack people who don't pay attention. They charged us a hefty amount of $300 to a damage that we never did and they didn't have proof of with showing us a time stamp. WE HAVE PROOF THAT THE MARK WAS THERE BEFORE WE GOT THE JETSKIS. These people don't deserve anyone's time and money. There are other places that will rent out jet skis to you and I'm sure are more trustworthy. Stay as far away as possible, as if this company had Covid19! read more

Easy to book. However I think the customer service could have been better. We had to carry everything onto the boat ourselves which I found unusual. The boat had not been cleaned properly, sand all over seats. The experience was great, the Destin harbor and Crab Island are fun. read more

As locals we don't own a boat. We rarely go out into the sound. We rented a 24' pontoon to celebrate our daughter's 22nd birthday. We rented online and got a follow up email the day before our trip. The staff is very nice! My only complaint is have a clearer sign to the door to check in for the rental. We had to ask. And so did others that came in behind us. Honestly would not recommend you get there and you get handed a study guide of 45 questions and answers you have to then take a text watch a 7 min video and this all cuts into your time all and all you lose about a hour of YOUR PAID TIME if you fail the text there is no reimbursement nor do you get the Option of retesting even though you pay 3$ to take the test . TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. TERRIBLE. First off they really try to scam you with all these fees and deposits. We got jet skis for 1 hour and when it was time to go back we got lost, by the time we found our way back we came and they were so rude, the guy told me that we have to pay for being 15 minutes late, I understand if we were 30 minutes to an hour late but 15 minutes?? I told the guy that we got lost and it wasn't our fault that we were late and he didn't care and still decided to charge us $200. Disgustingly rude man. Terrible business owner. Scammer and a liar. Nasty customer service from the beginning. Lazy employees. ABSOLUTELY NO COMMUNICATION. Will try to steal every penny from you. Disgusting people ruined my birthday. Honestly I hope nothing but the worst for these people and this business. This is an actual warning stay away from this place. Nice people. They have a focus on safety with an instructional video. Pontoon boat ran fine and was clean. I recommend having some ropes you can tie to the boat and hang onto to while you are swimming. At Crab Island, there can be very swift currents that will take you away from your boat. They have Yamaha wave runners, they supply life jackets. read more

Everyone seemed very willing & happy to be there and help us as soon as we arrived. The guys working the jet skis are very nice & explained how it worked and where we could and couldn't go. The jet skis themselves are very updated and kept up as well. You can take the temporary license course online as soon as you arrive too, if you don't have one. I also like that this place you drive up to a sandy area versus the building across the bridge, you drive onto a dock floating in the water. I highly recommend this place & will come back for sure when visiting Destin again. read more

We've rented a pontoon boat from Power Up twice now, once on a trip a few years ago and again on our current trip. We stay at Waterscape and it's right across the street, very convenient. Pontoons are in good shape, they provide a nice speaker with Bluetooth so you can play your own music. A boat rental has become a must-do part of our trips to FWB, and Power Up is our go-to spot. If I could give a negative zero star I would, a totally SCAM. Rented 2 jet skis for 3 hours and they said we damaged their jet skis and tried to charge us up to $600 in damages. I have video proof of when we pulled up to the shore at the exact time we rented it before using and the damages were there, they proceeded to get into a verbal altercation with us saying it was already there and they had a time stamp, WHILE refusing to show us the time stamp. What a complete scam, I would not recommend this place nor will I ever come back to rent ever again. The worker who was helping us was also being a sarcastic prick after he asked us if we hit anything and one of my family members said "it hit my arm" and he proceeded to say "well is your arm made of steel." SCAM SCAM SCAM, don't let them scam and take your money like they did to us. I will be telling all my family members and friends who come to visit to never rent here ever. And if it's the staff who isn't doing what they're suppose to with the updated time stamps then this place sure needs to reconsider hiring new people, ridiculous. DON'T COME HERE I REPEAT DON'T COME HERE! UPDATE: We talked to the owner and he was nice enough to refund us for the damage fees they charged and told us that they are still working out a system for the employees to prevent this from happening! read more
