It all boils down to his lack of motivation to completing unfinished work after he gets paid. I hired him for cleaning gutters and soffits and fascia board, and in that process, he installed some downspouts for me, among a few other things. After the "completion" of his work, the first rain exposed the fact that he doesn't apparently know that you cannot have the "female" end of the dowspout fit inside the "male" end below it, because water will always leak out. He replaced two downspouts where this was the case. You would think someone who supposedly specializes in gutters would know better. I made him aware of the issue after that rain, which was a day or two after the completion of his work, and he texted back that he'd be by the next weekend and knock it out. Weekend came and went, an no show. This happened 4 more times, and each time, I had to text him to see why he didn't show. It became very clear to me that he seems only motivated by money, since he doesn't seem to care about doing a job correctly or having a satisfied customer. I would never hire him again because of this and I would encourage caution to anyone considering using him for anything. When I agreed to his fee on the front end, he actually asked for a deposit, of the ENTIRE fee upfront. I didn't agree to it because that's not how things are done. Should have gone with my gut and not used him after this. There were a few other issues that I don't have the time or space to mention. I spent several thousand dollars with him, and now I will have to hire someone else to fix what he should have.

He was a very nice guy, easy to communicate with, and we trusted him as the expert when he advised that grinding or using a pre-primer wouldn't be necessary for our floor. Unfortunately, the results were disappointing. The floor looked terrible and the texture was uneven throughout. While he mentioned having done this process successfully many times before, no grinding for preparation of the floor and not using primer left us mislead and was absolutely the wrong choice in our case and we're now left needing to pay someone else to completely redo it. We asked for a partial refund on labor, as we followed his guidance and the outcome was a floor that's now unusable. He did provide a $100 refund, but it didn't reflect the cost of correcting the damage or the overall experience. If you're considering a similar project, I would recommend confirming the full prep process including grinding and priming with a second professional opinion and save yourself the time and money of having the job done twice
