Rudy and Remi from Legit are the best guys you could hope for to paint your home. My 1910 craftsman's most recent paint job was about 25 years old but the house needed a tremendous amount of attention due to improper preparation in decades before. Their dedicated crew of 3-4, led by Antonio prepped for a full 2 1/2 weeks before color application began. Polite, cheerful and fastidious about leaving the property clean at the end of each day, I can't say enough good things about them. This job used 4 colors and was done in 3 1/2 weeks. Communication with the owners was excellent throughout. QUALITY OF CUSTOMER SERVICE: The first thing you will experience when contacting Legit Painting is their customer service. The people, the brothers Rudy and Remy) are super nice, honest, experienced, and as hard as it is to believe, but they actually seem to care. They are quickly responsive if they missed your call. i was redoing my garage floor with Epoxy and I needed a pressure washer, and I was supposed to rent one, but couldn't get one, so they were so nice and brought one so I can get it done and they helped me. So as ironic as it sounds, they are truly Legit. QUALITY OF SERVICE: As I said, we did the garage with Epoxy, and we also did the garage walls. They did a great job with both. They helped clean and fix up the ground. The took the plug plates off the wall and did not paint around them. They even did the garage door. They gave a recommendation to a better type of paint and they were right about it. They were personable, and allowed my sons to grab a roller and paint a small segment on the wall. They insisted on including my wife on adding the flakes to the ground so that we feel like we were involved in the process. It was such a pleasure to be working with just genuine legitimate painters. PRICE: Hands down, they destroyed all the competition. The price felt reasonable while the others seemed completely unreasonable. Extremely impressive work and customer service! Despite the insignificant, rude previous review (which states nothing about the quality of Legit's work), I was verrrry pleased to find Rudy and Remy. As a first time homeowner, it was daunting to hear upon inspection that it was mandatory (for the health of my future abode) to paint the outside. I received a quote from a family friend (who is also a contractor) who quoted a massively scary price. Upon asking my father-in-law for a suggested company though, he pointed me in Rudy's direction. I called them, they came out speedily, and the quote was about one-fourth of what I had previously been quoted. Sweeet. They started work shortly thereafter. Selecting colors was easy, Rudy's guys worked extensive hours, and the project was finishing quite rapidly. The only thing that kept the job from being finished on the exact day Rudy had originally stated was the torrential rain we experienced throughout the week.Still, in what seemed like no time at all, the work was done. I am SUPER pleased with the outcome. In fact, many neighbors have come by to compliment us on our color choices and "beautiful home;" mind you, all we did was paint! Started out good and got bad towards end of job. Different painters showed up half the time. Promised to do work and never completed. Poor protection of furniture and wood floors. I had to clean paint and dust residue on floors for 2 days after painting was completed. Had to power wash patio and exterior of house where paint and other materials were stored. Very dissapointing! The paint used was not the quality or product as promised. The number of coats promised were not used. Paint was left on my wood floors, granite counters, and paint poured down my new sink. I always felt if a corner could be cut and I wasn't looking it would be. I was lied to when the different paint other than agreed to was right in my living room for me to see. I ultimately went and bought the quality paint myself after having paid Legit for the paint already. They had the nerve the want to charge me again, for my changing my mind in color, and I foolishly agreed, as I didn't realize at that time, they had changed products, and of course there was a color and quallity variation. Some of my doors just were primed and not painted!! Amazingly poor work. This company caused more damage to my home than they were worth. The worst!!! read more

We were already over budget,up against a strict timeline, and required a reliable company to come in repair what was damaged and left unfinished by our previous, inexperienced painter. This is my first Yelp review, but Rudy Mejia and his crew inspired it. They did a very professional job on the exterior of my house and deck (in Bel Air). The house has many windows with wood trim, which had deteriorated badly, and a lot of wood siding that requiring staining. Rudy was willing to take the time to get the colors of the window trim, siding, and deck just right. His crew was very careful and very skilled and worked hard (and successfully) to restore the varnish on the wood trim, resanding and repainting as necessary to achieve a uniform appearance. Rudy's lead painter on our job, Kilmer, also was excellent. In short, Rudy and Legit Painting were committed to doing a first rate job that would last, using the best materials and taking the time required. Rudy is easy to work with and was very responsive to my wife's concerns about color and appearance. His price also was very fair and they actually finished a bit earlier than projected. When I called Remy to ask for a free quote he made himself available right away. He was so incredibly nice and give me an incredibly fair price to paint the entire exterior of my house.
