I have played at all of the courses in our area and beyond. I've never been turned away because of cargo shorts. And they also told my friend that he has to tuck in his shirt. I always practice good golf etiquette. This was disappointing. I personally willing to pay $100 for a round of golf should not be turned away because of having pockets on the side of their shorts. If you're not, you might just shoot right on by, sort of like I did. A quick u-turn later, the family was happy with what we found. There was what seemed to be a nicely varied and well staffed and stocked driving range with standard booths, a field area for iron work, a sand trap and a practice green to simulate all sorts of golfing conditions. What we were there for, though, was mini-golf. After navigating the self-serve machine to pay our entrance fees and get our balls and putters, we were treated to a very interesting and well-maintained course. It was just challenging enough to keep the adults interested while not being too overwhelming for the kids. A very nice balance. Staff was friendly and opened the main building to allow the kids to use the bathroom. Due to COVID, all food services are currently suspended. There aren't a ton of family-friendly activities to do when visiting Danville, but this place 100% fits the bill.

All previous years until 2020 it was just a little 9 hole course with little care for maintenance and upkeep. Fees for golf ranged from 11$ to 20$ depending on if you played 9 or 18 with or without cart. Currently the course is undergoing some renovations and the maintenance has improved. Fairways are decent as are the greens. They are changing #6 making it a par 4? maybe. All that said we played last week and when I booked a tee time online it was 22$ for 18 with no cart. When we arrived to play and pay our fee was now 82$. YES. 82$ We were floored. I can play any other 18 hole course in the area for less. We asked if there were senior rates it then was 80$. Too funny. The course just doesn't justify this high cost for greens fee and cart. I know we didn't have to play there but we did. Once burned. If we do play again it will be 9 and walking. The price of gas doesn't mean gouge the patrons.

I love the french onion soup. I think the last time I went I got the salmon and it was great. Maggie is the best waitress. She really gets to know her customers. I think she basically has my mom's order memorized. I've also been for brunch on Sunday and it's really nice. Buffet style, but they also have an omelet station.
