I went to them because they are an authorized troybilt service center. My riding mower had two issues. They charged me $207 and one of the issues was not fixed. Additionally, they destroyed the hood of my lawnmower with scratches. It looked like they took it off and rolled it around on the concrete. When I called to discuss it they were rude, denied it, said the damage was there when I brought it in, and hung up on me. This place is the horrible beyond words. Attention to all customers, If you want to hear the total of F-word vocabulary from this establishment, this place is where to go for such a barrage of words against the customers. I bought a brand new lawnmower the yard machine. A week later the motor busted with the oil in it. I was referred by manufacture (MTD) to this repair place, Lehman Hardware, Inc. , @ 5921 Belair Rd, Baltimore, MD 21206. The man in charge is Mr. Dave. I brought the lawn mower in on October 7, 2016. Mr. Dave said to leave it there, they will give a diagnostic on my mower. After one week I called In to Lehman Hardware Inc. , to check on my mower. ( I didn't suspect any trickery). The motor was visually busted even without the diagnostic, I was too naive to see what Mr. Dave was planning. A week latter I called again. They claimed that they had no knowledge of my lawnmower, (as if never dropped it there). l was directed to call back. My suspicions were aroused, that something is not right. I called in the next day. They told me that I hit something with the mower. There for the carburetor was busted. I arrived to Lehman Hardware, and questioned the diagnostic. I asked for a manager. I was told that the manager would not arrive for another 20 minutes. So I waited. They pulled out the lawn mower after 20 mins. Passed, and the apologized for the wrong diagnostic. And they said the were going to call me back. Which they never did. I called MTD THE MANUFACTURER, explaining the whole aggravating story to them. Which amounted to nothing. In the meantime, thirty days passed, I was told by Mr. Dave to take my lawn mower, and get lost. Under a barrage of cuss words spewing from Mr. Dave's toilet mouth. He pushed me out of the store. He managed to drag the whole story for more 30 days. Now Lehman Hardware think they are untitled to my $30 for nothing. No services rendered. read more

Walk back in time to hardware stores that were crammed to the gills with floor-to-ceiling hardware, and other thingamabobs. You could spend all day looking for your part, or you could just ask one of the nice people behind the counter to help you with your needs-yeah-real human interaction-dig it! I couldn't say if their prices are higher or lower than the other "home centers", but what you don't get at these places is a nice conversation generally centered on discussing what your project is, advice and suggestions. Don't do business with these people. My husband took his lawnmower in for repair in October 2018 and they "lost" the repair ticket AND the lawnmower. Despite repeated attempts on his part to get them to come through with a replacement, they blew him off. Now we're filing in small claims court. read more

Lehman advertises itself as a "Poulan Service Provider" for warranty work. Well, went through Poulan to get service on a snow thrower, and that is where things started to fail! First, Lehman was contacted on Tuesday March 27th. By Friday, not one phone call or contact. Called Lehman Hardware on Monday April 2nd, and only 1 person in the shop can help you with service. And that person doesn't work on Mondays, but does come in Tuesday afternoons. Left name and number, and requested return call. Guess what? No return call! When I contact Poulan to let them know about the poor service, the rep finally calls back the day after. Talk about attitude. Believe actual words by Jean were "Since you were ignorant, I am going to ignorant. Doesn't matter if you give us a bad review". Best advise: STAY AWAY from this business. I took my battery operated weed trimmer to this place because it was a authorized warranty repair shop for my Machine. Well that was a mistake I brought the machine in sometime back in April 2018. It is now November 2018 and they still have no clue what they're doing. The guy who picks up the phone seems nice but doesn't seem to know his ass from a hole in the wall. and the woman who picks up the phone it's just an asshole basically. I work in the repair service industry. I understand when it's season work then the wait can be longer due to having a lot of work to be done it can take time to get parts and get things repaired. But really 7+ months that's just piss poor. Avoid doing any warranty work with them. read more

Ok so thought I would try my local hardware store for some common screws in the house ex. Lightplate covers and lock panels. Well the poor trashey looking lady proceeded to help me. After she could not figure the size of the screws out, she proceeded to pat me on back and told me to find the lost screws. Wow, something I thought would be common knowledge by the trashy looking women wasn't.... Never ever will I go in there again,give me Lowe's where the employees do not pat you on the back like you are a dog. This place is really hit or miss. They can be nice, but the second one has a problem, they're rude as can be. They do not understand customer service at all. I supported them for many years even though their prices are high because they have just about everything you might need. But when they lie to me for a week straight about fixing my mower, then tell me they're busy (without even acting like they're sorry) and expect me to patiently wait at home every day for them to NOT show up as promised, it's time to find a more polite and professional hardware store. My husband went into the store today for a nut to fix the brake on my mother's wheelchair. Instead of helping him find the one he needed, he was told to look through boxes and boxes of nuts to find the one that would fit. He accidentally dropped a box, heard a flurry of profanity from the owners even though he apologized profusely. My husband could not pick up what he dropped due to his severe back problems, and consequently the cashier wanted to charge him $5 because he dropped the box. He ultimately was charged $1.20 for an item marked $.25. Granted, he was not going to spend a great deal in their store today because he did not need a great deal, but we have patronized this store before where we did spend a considerable amount, but it looks like "never again." read more

I bought a Echo trimmer from Home Depot and had problems with it, so I took it back and the told me it was a carb problem and they could not fix it. Echo did not allow them to work on carbs, some kind of EPA deal so they gave me Lehman hardware's number. They were nice at first. They would check it out and fight for my warranty. Two days later they called and left a message on my home phone. Somehow it got erased before I could hear it. I got back into town on Monday and called. They had fixed it. It was not under warranty and it cost over 100 dollars. I was not happy. I went to the store and asked them why they repaired it with out my authorization and they said they were sorry, but if I wanted my trimmer I had to pay. I took it home and it did not work it was doing the same thing as when I first dropped it off. I called back and they said sorry bring it back. I did and they sent me across the street to the repair shop. as I walked up they were using the hose to wash the sidewalk and wash oil right down the storm drain. I went inside. Dirty shop,no ventilation, no eye protection. EPA had never been there. Mechanic started it up, added gas while it was running and said he had no explaination for why it was not working, but the carb he replaced was bad. I said why is it doing the same thing then. He said run it and it might work its self out. I went back across the street and asked to speak to the owner. He was not available. I was very upset so I figured I had better go home and not get in trouble. They said that they would have Jeanne call me. I called Echo and explained my situation. The girl on the phone was acting like it was my fault and could not believe my story. She said that I had to take it back to Lehman. I did not want to but I did. I spoke to Jeanne and she said that it was not under warranty because it was over a year old. I told her she was wrong and gave her the receipt dated 5-28-15 .She would make it right and get my money back. I waited a week and nothing, so I called. Now they were backed up three weeks. I went back to Home Depot and told them my story and the Manager called Lehman. Jeanne was not in and would call her.Tthe HD manager felt so bad that she rented me a trimmer at no charge. Jeanne called her back and said that someone would look at it the next day and call her back. Jeanne never called back . I called Echo again and they said that they would have someone call me back. Glen from LEPCO did. The are an Echo Dealer and parts supplier. Where Lehman get their parts and trimmers from. Glen told me to call them back and tell to remove the carb and refund my money and LEPCO would pick it. Jeanne refused and said that she had never heard of them. I emailed Glen and he said that he would call them. He emailed me that Lehman would look at it the next day and call him. It has been two days and no one has heard from Lehman not even Glen at LEPCO. I feel that I have been stolen from, lied to and would never go to Lehman's again or buy another Echo product and will spend the rest of my life trying to get people to do the same and I GUARANTEE that. read more
