When we checked out, the price had gone up $30 since we were in last (last month). I was quite irritated with the entire experience by the time the lady asked for her tip. Apparently it wasn't enough and she laughed. A tip is to reward the level of service received- not an expectation. For reference, I tipped 15%. She was asking for a 40% tip. Absolutely not.

My partner's masseuse was very rough, mostly massaging over the towel, and didn't communicate at all about pressure or comfort. He described it as feeling rushed and sloppy, like being run through a car wash. My massage started off okay, with the masseuse being somewhat communicative, but it quickly became lackluster. To make matters worse, halfway through the session, I was swapped to a completely different masseuse without any explanation, which left me feeling confused and uncomfortable. At checkout, I informed them I'd be paying with a card and used Apple Pay. Despite this, after the payment was processed and I tipped $20 per masseuse, they pointed to a sign about a 3% card fee and tried to adjust the total. I declined to pay the extra charge because it wasn't disclosed upfront. The staff was understanding, but I was told their boss wouldn't be happy, which just added to the frustration. Overall, the experience felt disorganized and disappointing. We were really hoping for a relaxing visit, but unfortunately, this isn't a place we'll return to.
