If you like waiting for over an hour to be seen with an appointment this is the doctor for you. She put me on hormone therapy which is what I requested, then suddenly after a few months. Withdrew my prescription because of a gene I carry ( not BRCA). She did so abruptly without even a phone call with an explanation. You can imagine what I went through being suddenly withdrawn from estrogen. Now she is constantly sending me bills for $32 that she didn't collect from my insurance company. It's not the amount. When she moved to West Hills I was very sad but despite the 70-mile distance and the fact that sometimes it takes me over 2.5 hours to get to her office form Orange County, I continued to only see her. She is very knowledgeable, caring, genuine and up to date with what is going on in the medical field. She listens, follows through and provides great advice. She truly cares. I am so grateful the universe directed me to Dr. Zafaranchi. I was experiencing severe vaginal atrophy 4 years after having a hysterectomy. I had pretty much given up on my quality of life, because the dryness was so severe that even exercising was painful and would Cause abrasions. WOW!! Dr Zaf is amazing!! Stop looking now and book an appointment!! I was looking for a doctor who would sit and hear my questions and concerns and someone I could build a relationship with as the years progress and I move towards pregnancy. Dr Zaf was been better than I imagined! She is so thoughtful and thorough. I had some concerns about hormone levels and most doctor won't even talk about it with me because I am in my mid-20s and super healthy so they tell me not to worry and they move on with the exam. Not Dr Zaf. She listened and did blood work to see if there was any early warning signs and then sat back down with me to explain all of the findings in my test results. Mind you nothing needed action but she knew I wanted information about my own body so she took the time to sit and talk with me. I have never had a doctor do that! They always just call to say results are normal. Also, she knows having children is important to me so she is already preparing for my future and making a great medical baseline of my health so we are set for the future and can catch any problems early if anything were to arise. Even though I just come in for standard checkups, I always get a full report and trust that my health is as important to her as it is to me. She believes knowledge is power and I could't agree more. I have been going to Dr. Zafaranchi for about 7 years now. She is an AMAZING, KNOWLEDGEABLE, and CARING doctor. From routine exams, to a couple of surgeries, I always felt very well taken care of. Dr. Zafaranchi always listens to me and spends time to go over test results and addresses any and all concerns and questions that I may have. I feel very comfortable coming to my appointments and that dreadful annual check up is a thing of the past for me. (Not that I don't get them anymore, I just don't dread them anymore.) I'm 10 months post hysterectomy surgery and was struggling with my hormones etc. my nutritions recommended I go to see Dr. Leila Zafaranchi. I was literally at my wits end and getting to the point of something rather dark and scary. I went out of utter desperation. I needed help and I needed it now! My first impression of the office-gorgeous clean and welcoming. The lady who greeted me at the front desk was exceptional her name escapes me but if you meet her you'll know it's her. Her friendly smile and energy put me at ease instantly. I went through a series of steps before I got to see Dr. Zafaranchi and each and every person I encounter as I made my way down the hall could not have been nicer. I was put into a room to wait for the doctor to come in. I was nervous and pretty down that day. I burst into tears when I got to see the doc and without saying much she HEARD me, she understood exactly why I was there. She assured me we are in this together and I'm not alone in how I'm feeling. She sent me for a series of tests mammogram, blood etc and I made a follow up visit. I got regular calls each time my test results came in to let me know all is well. That's a huge relief rather than me having to wait for my follow up visit. I had step by step calls and results frequently. That was such a relief to my mind and spirit. I went today for my follow up and Dr. Zafaranchi went through them line by line and explained every single detail and inviting me to ask questions as she went along. I got more from this amazing doctor than I've ever had before. She is amazing and made me feel like I had an army along of me fighting this hormonal menopause time in my life. I'm so incredibly grateful to her and her staff for treating me like a real person who is clearly struggling with the changes that are happening to me. Her energy is delightful. Her "want and need" to help is very evident in the way she treats her patients. I'm over the moon I now know what's happening to my body and together we put a plan of action into play.
