After replying via email to confirm it was a real text and told him I was definitely interested, I didn't hear back until I texted again. Reached back out via text January 7th about it, didn't get a text back til January 22nd. I replied saying I'm still interested (of course). March 22nd I dm'd him on Instagram saying I won the giveaway last year and I haven't heard back in a while and asked if I can still get the tattoo. I was just sent an automatic response to a link to sign up for a FREE tattoo. Didn't get a response until April 17th which was just a marketing text via my phone number. He stated it's his last year doing studio ghibli tats and he only has 30 appts left for the year. So I replied "am I still able to redeem the scholarship from MyTattooExpert?" He replied "Absolutely .. I actually had Five people canceled for that project.. They were military people. And I guess they had to leave:/ Remind me what your vision was for your tattoo" I sent him my vision (I believe this was the second time but I couldn't find the first instance on text or dm) but got silence after that. I decided to reach out on Instagram on Sunday (4/19) about it since I didn't hear back AGAIN and I was getting worried considering he sent a text saying this year is the last year he's doing the art style I was specifically wanting. I got a text the day after confirming my name and email and phone number. He confirmed who I was and that I won the giveaway, he ends up telling me the sponsorship was "closed" despite me never redeeming mine... he goes on to say "several people backed out so it's still available"... he said "it's essentially NOT free, MyTattooExpert just pays for a portion." Why are you marketing FREE TATTOOS AND TATTOO GIVEAWAYS IF THEY ARE NOT ACTUALLY FREE OR GIVEN AWAY? It was literally in the dm he sent me as an automated response, it says FREE right there and that was the one I BELIEVED I was signed up for. (He had so many I genuinely applied to them all) What a disappointment and waste of time. I was really looking forward to getting tatted from this guy, I would have continued to book with him regardless of the cost in the future if this actually went well. I was definitely turned off by the lack of responses/response time, I understand you're busy but it would've been impossible to book it seems like, regardless of the giveaway. Good thing it's his last year doing this, it seems like it was an unorganized mess.

What it started we'll end it up as a messy jagua. First of the jagua was not as small as I want it but I got over it. Then it kept looking funny as he created it. I ask if we can fix the pattern he clean it n put another pattern on top of it.The jagua peel off right away. The next day is when I saw all the mess all the mistakes that he had done and "clean" up where re-appearing. I txt them right away and ask to get refunded at least half since I did pay 50+ and he had taken the time to "try" n do a jagua piece across my chest never got a txt back or anything. Her work is incredibly natural and soft - it's honestly perfect. Nobody can even tell I've had my lips done, and my brows (which she just touched up after two years!) still look fresh and beautiful. What sets her apart is her eye for detail. She has a natural talent and intuition for what will look best. I didn't give her any direction - I just told her to do what she thought would suit me, and she absolutely nailed it. She's also very patient, listens carefully, and genuinely cares about making sure you look your best. Her blonde client's eyebrows looked so great I had to get mine done right away! I booked my appt with April for the next week and then started reading and asking around about the pain, etc... I began to get very nervous reading about the pain and bad experiences people had at many places! People I know that have gotten it done before told me it just feels like scratching and it's not that bad. I am a big baby when it comes to pain and warned April when I got there :-) I got there and April was just finishing up on a patient and didn't have to wait for too long, but even if I did I understand that she's the only one in her office that does the tattooing, so I expected to wait. She got me numbed up for the full 45 mins and we discussed what I wanted and she drew what they would look like. After we perfected look, the tattooing began. At first it felt like she was taking an electric shaver to my brows, didn't hurt at all! Then as the process went on, being the baby that I am, it did start to hurt like a normal tattoo to me anyway. So if you've ever got a tattoo before it feels like that so expect some pain but it is tolerable. I am extremely happy with the results and can't wait till they heal to see the true color and total look. I will post before and after pictures when they heal. I will say don't be afraid to ask lots of questions, April will answer them all. I probably sounded really paranoid and mentioned I was nervous many of times :-) (This is the only reason why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was because I felt like I had to ask a lot of questions since I didn't know much about it at all and it just came natural to April since she's had so many clients, but a little more explaining of the process would help out a beginner client like me) Update......... It has now been 9 days since the procedure and I wake up every morning and think WOW, why didn't I get this done sooner! I LOVE my eyebrows and couldn't be more happy. As far as the healing process, yes the first 4 days or so they are pretty dark, but once the scabbing from the tattoo fell off by day 7, they look AMAZING!
