Shortly someone came out and silently guided us to the rear. I sat in a big comfy recliner chair, my feet in a warm soaking bowl. Lighting is dim, sooting music, then they started massage - scalp, neck, shoulders, arms. Then legs and feet. All done expertly, leaving me so relaxed that the hour seemed like a few minutes, and I nearly fell asleep. It was lovely and I would go again.

Hang your jacket on the coat hangers toward the back. Find the recliner that they assign to you. Turn your phone to silent. When you need to communicate, whisper (there are likely others in the chairs beside you who arrived before you) and come to rest and be pampered. Relax and relent to the deft hands of these skilled people. For $49, you get an hour in a recliner with a blanket, and a man or woman will start you off with a warm foot soak and then proceed to offer a head, neck, arms, upper back, leg snd foot massage. They offer a shorter service too, I think for just feet. But if you have the time and can afford spending around $60-65 for an hour of R&R, I encourage you to splurge. For the love of humanity, please tip at least 15-20%. It's still a salon/spa. They work REALLY HARD rubbing people's FEET. I do not believe the therapist with long reddish hair is formally trained. I am a retired esthetician of 18 years, who's had massage all over the world, from beach stalls to five star hotels and this experience was shockingly poor. First, I started face down but my headrest was too high so the therapist kept banging into the bottom of my head to access my neck. She seemed oblivious to this and unaware that an adjustment was needed. I scheduled a 60 minute classic massage because I just wanted to relax. I did not request stones but suddenly the massage stopped. Without saying anything she left the room to retrieve stones that were much too hot for my skin and that I did not want. Then to top it all off, she stuck her hands in my hair and started rubbing my scalp. I was actually shocked because everyone in hospitality knows that you NEVER touch a client's head, stomach or breast without verbal permission. These are highly personal potential trigger areas. When she asked me to turn over she never moved from the top of the table. A privacy towel was not held up. (What school did she graduate from??) I thought she would begin working my neck and shoulders which is why I came, but she stuck her hands back in my hair. At that point I asked her to stop. If she has a legitimate license she needs to practice on co-workers to improve her performance. But I'm assuming the other therapists are better. Hopefully they are.

After the initial kerfluffle, I didn't think I'd enjoy the massage but I was, happily, incorrect. She hit all the major muscle groups with verve and kindness and I relaxed and, several times, almost went to sleep. At the end, the language barrier raised its ugly face, since I couldn't seem to make the masseuse understand my question whether the place took credit cards.
