They knew you by name when you walked in, how many animals you had, very personable and you would leave feeling informed. All of my cats I got as kittens that I bottle fed and for years I've gone here. I witnessed my cat be transported by the scruff to another room. Sure, 2 lb kittens maybe that's ok. She's 10 years old. I asked if the doctor needed to put her in the carrier he said no. Then they asked me to come into the room to tell me they can't get a urine sample. Naturally, shes protesting and clearly uncomfortable in the room she's in with the other staff members there. For some reason they needed to move her to another room. So the doctor picks her up and holds her in a way I've never seen anyone transport an animal. Both Arms in one hand, both legs in the other hand, body dangling like a piece of butchered meat. Even the other techs looked at the doctor confused and mentioned that it looked like he was he about to put her on a bbq rack. I brought her there because she was sick. She was coughing, had a runny nose and problems breathing. During the exam things seemed very off, you talked over me as I explained what was going on and what I was seeing. It was evident you were in a rush and the concerns I had werent related to what you had already pinpointed the solution to be. I was curious about both the antibiotic and the steroid injection before you had the results of the bloodwork we did, and how both are being administered at the same time but I didn't have a chance to ask. Thank you guys for all your help the first 5-7 years but I think I've seen enough. And no, they do not handle emergency visits. I had called them in distress about another cat a half hour before they were closing, told them I could be there in a few mins we were close and they said we should try another vet that's open till 6p.

My dog passed away less than 24 hours after she was spayed!! The blood work which showed that her kidney function level was abnormally high was not presented to us until after the surgery was done!!! I was under the impression that she was going to be kept and monitored overnight. That was not the case!!! Dr Raj released her to me less than an hour after she had a hysterectomy!!! She was still heavily sedated when I arrived. I slept with her by my side all night long constantly checking on her only to wake up finding her stuff and warm. When Dr Raj got the results of the bloodwork he should have informed us that she was much sicker than she appeared to be and putting her down for $300 was the best option as opposed to performing the surgery that cost $2500 . DR RAJ CHOSE CAPITAL OVRR COMPASSION!! He knew damn good and well that he should not have performed that surgery once he saw how extremely abnormal her kidney function level was‼‼‼ After this happened to our beloved puppy, I started reading the reviews and this has happened to several people! We are absolutely heartbroken over having to sit here and watch her die before our eyes and there was nothing that could be done to save her.. the results of her blood work was not disclosed to us until we took her corpse back in the office !!! Thanks for putting our dog through unnecessary pain and suffering!!! Good job Dr Raj!!! trust, and believe this will be taken to a higher level and addressed by a higher authority!

When I first walked through their doors, my first dog, Giuseppe, was a gorgeous 10-week-old puppy... who also happened to believe the world was his mortal enemy. He was rowdy, nippy, growly, anxious, and absolutely convinced that every veterinarian was there to ruin his day. On top of that, he was my very first dog that I was 100% responsible for, so I was the textbook definition of an overprotective dog mom. If Giuseppe walked funny... we went to the vet. If he didn't eat breakfast within an hour... we went to the vet. If he looked at a blade of grass suspiciously... we probably went to the vet. One of my proudest (or most embarrassing) moments? I accidentally fell on him once. He limped for about three seconds before acting perfectly normal, but there I was, rushing to Cedar Lane, insisting they X-ray both of his legs. They graciously did it--not because Giuseppe needed it, but because I needed it. Looking back, I'm fairly certain the X-rays were prescribed more for my anxiety than for my dog. Not once did they make me feel foolish. They were endlessly patient with Giuseppe's behavioral issues and equally patient with my first-time dog-parent panic attacks. Fast-forward ten years. A year ago we adopted our rescue, Sofia, who came to us with ears so chronically infected from untreated allergies that she couldn't bear having them touched. Dr. Quin--who I genuinely believe has the knowledge base of an entire veterinary encyclopedia--worked with us for months. It took about six months of follow-up appointments, adjustments, and incredible patience, but today Sofia happily lets us touch her ears, and her allergies are managed with a simple daily preventative medication. Watching that transformation has been nothing short of amazing. A few months ago, Giuseppe had his dental procedure done here. He did lose a few teeth, but the work they did was phenomenal. His smile now looks like a perfectly polished piano keyboard, and he recovered beautifully. The veterinarians at Cedar Lane Animal Clinic are the definition of what every veterinarian should aspire to be: compassionate, knowledgeable, patient, honest, and genuinely invested in helping your pet feel better as quickly as possible. They don't rush you, they answer every question, they work with you, and you can tell that they truly love what they do. Five years ago I moved to Brooklyn. The drive to Cedar Lane now takes me about an hour each way. Do I care? Not even a little. I would rather spend two hours in the car than five minutes wondering whether I should have taken my dogs somewhere else. That's how much confidence I have in Dr. Quin, Dr. Bacon, and the entire team. As long as they're open, we'll keep making the drive. I've recommended Cedar Lane Animal Clinic to countless friends, family members, neighbors, and complete strangers who happen to mention they have a pet. I'll continue recommending them every chance I get because exceptional veterinary care like this deserves to be recognized. If you're looking for a veterinary clinic where your pets will be treated like family--and where even an overly anxious dog mom is met with kindness, patience, and compassion--you've found it. Quite simply, they're the best. I wouldn't trust my dogs with anyone else.

We recently toured this beautiful new practice in the greater Princeton area and were seriously impressed by the level of care, innovation, and comfort thoughtfully built into every corner of the hospital. Specializing in dog and cat care, the hospital combines advanced technology with a fear-free philosophy to help pets feel safe and relaxed. From calming pheromone diffusers to soundproof walls designed to reduce anxiety, every detail has been carefully considered for even the most nervous patients. Their services truly cover it all. Open 6 days a week with weekend availability and extended hours, they offer same-day wellness and sick visits, 24/7 telehealth services, vaccinations, dental care, diagnostics & imaging, routine surgeries, and emergency care. They also perform most lab work in-house, including bloodwork, urinalysis, and cytology, and even utilize AI-powered technology for rapid results. It feels less like a traditional vet office and more like a next-generation pet wellness hub. The amazing Michelle, a veterinary technician with a specialization in dental care, guided us through the peaceful lobby, modern exam rooms, treatment area, dental suite, and surgical space. Brie also got to meet a veterinarian for a thorough examination, where she evaluated her newly developed dry eye condition, addressed a few additional minor concerns, and gave us clear next steps along with real peace of mind. One of the coolest pieces of technology we saw was their ophthalmoscope system, which streams real-time video directly to screens so pet parents can actually see what the veterinarian is seeing during the exam. They can also capture detailed images to monitor conditions over time, making care even more collaborative and proactive. They also offer a Trailblazer Membership with wellness perks and savings designed to make veterinary care more accessible and worry-free. Huge thanks to Hillary from the marketing team for arranging such a wonderful visit!

My now-husband and I were in the midst of planning our wedding when we decided to adopt our beautiful puppy, Oreo, and we wanted to ensure that he could be a part of our wedding. Thank goodness we found Happy Bark & Tails. From our first meeting, the owner, Madeline, was informative, and caring, gave us a clear idea of what to expect on our wedding day, and took the time to answer all our questions. Every step of the way, Madeline was patient, responsive, and put us at ease. We even scheduled a meet-and-greet a few weeks before the wedding with Madeline and her husband, Gabriel, who is also a co-owner of the business. We were certain that they would not only care for Oreo but treat him like their own baby. On the day of our wedding, Madeline and Gabriel arrived at our hotel and immediately took care of Oreo. They put on his cute "best dog" scarf and bow tie and handled him while my husband and I got ready for our wedding. They walked him, fed him, played with him, helped him pose for pictures with us, and treated Oreo like family. They transported him to the venue, took him back to our hotel, and stayed with him until we got back. We couldn't have asked for a better company or people to work with! They also documented our wedding day with photos from Oreo's perspective. The gallery of photos was beautiful and something we will cherish for the rest of our lives. I highly recommend Happy Bark & Tails for all your wedding pet care needs. They were great to work with and we have already recommended them to another couple!

Although I had gone through this before with this cat, it was much more severe at this point than ever before and really had me worried. Thus I looked up local vets on the internet and took him to the Paulus Animal Hospital. Dr. Paulus, who runs this place, is a nice enough old man, and when I met with him and my cat, Nine, I felt comfortable and that Nine was in good hands. Dr. Paulus suggested Nine probably had allergies (as I explained this has happened a few times in the past, and a previous vet had given Nine a steroid shot which seemed to do the trick, or prescribed prednisone.) He wanted to do a blood test to find to what Nine was specifically allergic, and proceed from there. Being that Nine's condition had become more severe than ever before, I agreed. I left Nine there and came back that afternoon to pick him up. Nine was of course groggy from the drugs, but after a day had passed, he still seemed groggy, or just uninterested in any activity. The real problem came when I tried to feed him. I normally feed him dry food, but after attempting to eat once, he would just look at the food and not eat. I then tried giving him a can of tuna, as he did seem hungry. But when he attempted to eat the tuna he couldn't keep it in his mouth - he would be smacking away, tuna flying everywhere. I called the vet and told him the situation, so they had me bring Nine back in. We met with Dr. Paulus again, who explained how and what they do in order to take the blood for the test and further explained there was no way the procedure could have harmed Nine. I explained Nine was in much worse shape than when I initially brought him in, with issues he didn't even previously have. Paulus then explained Nine might be experiencing some type of CNS issue, and that he might "not be right upstairs." He told me to watch him for the next couple of days and gave me a contact to a specialist that handles CNS type issues. I took Nine home and worked with him myself for hours, daily, figuring out what foods he was able to eat, and spending time with him until I got him back to his normal self. After dealing with Paulus I didn't trust going to any other vet with my cat, as well as I might have subconsciously been afraid one would tell me he needed to be put down, which is a day to which I am definitely not looking forward. My other complaint with this veterinary office is this: They initially prescribed Nine prednisone when the blood tests came back saying Nine was highly allergic to fungus/mold and dust mites. They were to have a special vaccine concocted in the interim that I would be able to give Nine whenever he showed symptoms of his allergies. This vaccine was supposed to be ready in two weeks. After 30 days Nine's prednisone prescription ran out and still no vaccine. So I called in to see if I could refill the prescription through an online service that was cheaper. The vet approved this and said the vaccine should be ready in a week or so. Another 30 days passes, still no vaccine. I attempt to renew the prescription online again, and the online service contacted me saying the vet would not renew the prescription. When I called the vet I was told it is bad to give an animal prednisone for an extended period of time. I looked this up online and verified it to be valid, and then wondered why then had they allowed the first refill. Nine was still having issues so I looked for nonprescription items to help, but had little luck. By the time the vaccine came in (I believe it took almost 4 months) I told the vet I didn't want it. I continued to tend to Nine myself until finally he was completely healed and 100% back to normal. On top of everything else, the veterinary office always seemed dirty, and always smelled strongly of dirty animals. I would never, ever take any animal here, and I would suggest you don't either.
