the combination of plague and unemployment beyond my control means my oral hygiene has not been up to par of late. the brushing and flossing and rinsing have continued apace but without regular professional cleanings or assessment of my efforts. not surprisingly I wound up with a bad tooth in desperate need of attention... scary bad... so bad that the x-ray showed the middle of a molar as a cloudy blob :-( also had a cracked tooth that wasn't doing me any favors but funny thing about that is while poking around in my mouth the hygienist pushed the tooth back together! heard and felt it snap back in place and the pain was about cut in half immediately. neat! still had a raging infection in my jaw but way less total mouth pain... Dr Montgomery seems a decent and concerned individual. she came in to assess my situation and explain what my dental problems were and then sent me home with referral slips and a prescription for antibiotics. my x-rays were forwarded to the other doctors along with the notes so all I had to do was make the appointments and take my meds. when I get the urgencies all taken care of I'll be back in for the more mundane treatments and evaluations and some more roller massage chair. when society collapses and the barbarians commence to pillaging I hope someone has the sense to preserve the tools of modern dentistry. yea for teeth doctors plying their trade without pliers! read more

Both my wife and I have been using Lembo and Montgomery since moving to Mooresville in 2013 and experienced nothing but kind respectful customer service. I've been very impressed with their professionalism and knowledge. Recently I had a crown chip then ultimately come off. I was extremely appreciative of the personal attention to getting me in the office to check it out get a replacement. Not only did they get a replacement they figured out the cause so this one will last longer than the last. The staff is always friendly and they are a good example of good quality caring customer service. We're a new family to Drs. Lembo and Montgomery. We are thankful to have found them, after being split between pediatric and adult dentist practices for years! So far, we love them! The office is beautiful and state of the art, with massage chairs and tv's with headphones that allow you to watch Netflix. My son requested Phineas and Ferb, and it was rolling in seconds. Everyone on staff, from the front desk to the dentists themselves are so friendly and warm, they're genuinely glad to see you and they truly care about your dental health. The massage chairs and Netflix are just bells and whistles when it comes to genuine service. I had a crown done here less than 2 years ago. Lake Norman is my home, but I started a PhD program so I started seeing a local dentist where my school is. At a routine cleaning check-up my local dentist told me my crown wasn't put in correctly, and needs to be completely removed and replaced. They took an X-Ray and sure enough, there's a huge gap between the crown and the implant. When I called Lembo Montgomery the receptionist said they have zero connections/referrals to any dentists in the area around my school to help me, they didn't offer to make an appointment for me to come in (regardless if home is a long car ride away, I would've done it considering how much pain I'm in from this poorly input crown that's probably infected), and they told me "it's common for this to happen to crowns in 2 years." BS. The Average Lifespan of Dental Crowns: Generally, dental crowns last between 5 and 15 years. Some crowns last even longer, up to 25 or 30 years. Because crowns should last at least five years, most insurance companies will pay if the crown needs to be replaced anytime after those first five years. I went to another dentist for a second opinion and they said the same thing: my crown needs to be replaced. So save your thousands of dollars and go to a place that cares about their patients and will be honest with them about their dental knowledge. read more

Dr Montgomery is an outstanding dentist. Always friendly and outgoing and just fun to be around. She is really very good at what she does too. I've always had a hard time getting the humming to work quickly. With one shot today (didn't feel that) I never felt any of the major work she performed today for the emergency crown. I had great expectations for this dentist office after my husband had a positive experience. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed and will not be returning here. My husband too has agreed not to return due to the office's mishandling of my situation. My husband made an appointment for me in-person 2 months before I was scheduled to go in for a routine exam/cleaning. Having always been a cash-pay patient, the costs of dental services typically run around $200-250 including exams, X-rays and a cleaning. When I checked out after my services, I was told the cost came to $418 for a routine exam/cleaning. No special tests or services outside of routine were performed. I was asked to sign a $33 cancer screening waiver before services began but never asked to consent to the cost of their exam services or X-rays. If I had known the costs in advance at check in, I would not have proceeded with my appointment. The Hygienist never discussed that X-rays were optional or the costs associated. The office staff proceeded to tell me at check out that they discussed pricing with my husband at the time the appointment was made which was not true and blamed me in return for not asking up front. My prior dentists have always required a discussion with cash-pay patients before services are performed. While I did think that the facility was clean and performed the services asked of them, their lack of transparency regarding treatment costs and plans left a bad impression. The office staff also had no intention to resolve this issue and allowed me to leave frustrated and angry without resolution. I didn't appreciate being blamed for their lack of communication and is not how I would expect patients to be treated. I wish this could have been handled differently. Unfortunately, they have now lost two patients as a result. read more

Literally our favorite dentists ever! Drs Lembo and Montgomery and their entire staff are wonderful with both adult care for my husband and I and pediatric care for our two kids. We've seen them for preventative care, fillings and whitening treatments and we've had a great experience every time! They're not only talented, knowledgeable dentists, but have a very caring approach. They also have a really nice office with great amenities (its really nice to zone out to a TV with Netflix while getting your dental work done!). We'll never go anywhere else! read more

Unfortunately for me, these dentists are raved about and are supposed to be some of the best, but they are only the best if you get to see them. I showed yp 15 minutes early for my appointment at 12 noon. There were 4 people waiting and during the next 50 minutes in the waiting room, at least 5 or 6 other patients entered. ALL but two left before I was led to the exam chair. An assistant looked at my tooth and said the dentist would be in - but she didnt say what day she would get there! I waited, fuming, for another 15 minutes. I got up from the chair and walked out, past the reception desk and the receptionist whom I spoke with upon entering. She didnt even look up. Either there were no dentists there or that òffice needs some new management. I called and left a message on their recorder saying my first impression was not a good one and that they would not be a good fit under the circumstances. I read about how welcoming that office is and wonder if I stumbled into the wrong place. No one has called or tried to reach me to say sorry, too bad, see ya. Pretty typical in light of the way my appointment was handled. read more

Perfect service as always. I just love my dentist. They know just how to make you feel like family. Walked in the door and they greeted me by name. That makes you feel so welcomed when they know who you are and as well the front staff are all DOLLS. They have the most beautiful demeanors even for early morning (7 am). They keep it real with you and are always 100% looking out for the patient. When I went over my treatment plan they knew exactly what would benefit me and save me the most money. Even down to FSA. In my last review I spoke about the initial visit and how it took a bit to schedule. Those initial visits encompass a lot of information and time so I can understand why they would be a bit booked. To say I had a great experience is an understatement. Their chairs massage you while they put Netflix on for you to watch during your exam. It's a dental vacation! They're friendly and wonderful when you start going there. The second cleaning I had the woman never cleaned the top part of my teeth! I've had issues with making appointments. It's almost impossible to get a timely appointment. Several times I've called and was told someone would call me back and never heard anything. I've had numerous dental work done over the last 20 years. The first time I had something done here I've had pain and can't chew on one side of my mouth. They've "fixed" the problem several times over the last 8 months to no extent. I was set to have my kids go there but have decided to hold off and keep them where they are. The ladies are sweet and very nice, office is nice. They told my husband he needed a crown, and one of my kids had huge cavity that needed filling, my other kid desperately needed braces they said. We were in process of moving out of state. When we got to our new dentist, I was shocked. They said in no way did my husband need a crown, my kid had no cavities, and my other kid did not need braces unless of course me as a parent just wanted my kid to have perfect straight teeth. We have been at new dentist for 3 1/2 years now, and out of my 3 kids, we have only had one cavity filled. Also no pressure for any of them to get braces. Their teeth are normal, no extreme crowding or crookedness. I'm just saying if they recommend a pricey procedure, get a second opinion, ask to see the cavity (by naked eye or x ray) do your research, some dentists are all about profit even if they are wonderful people. It is a business and some people running businesses are unethical. read more

Today was my first appointment at Lembo Montgomery and I have to say, it was probably the best dentist experience I've had ever. This practice is very busy, but it is runs like a well oiled machine. My appointment went so smooth. The facility is state of the art, extraordinarily clean, and the "freshen up station" they have is a nice touch if you want to get one last brush in before you see the doc. It had been several years since I last went to a dentist thanks to the Affordable Care Act for forcing my previous dentist office to change which insurance company they were able to accept. Upon entering the office as a new patient I filled out 4 pages of information regarding whether or not I had any illnesses. Within 5 minutes of turning it in I was called to the back. I was given a tour of the entire building and was brought to the chair I would have my exam done at. I was asked which Netflix show I'd like to watch which was definitely something new. My previous dentist office had a painting to stare at which became very boring after about 15 minutes. This was the total opposite case. Although I didn't have a specific show I wanted to watch I was satisfied by the fact I got to watch tv while being inspected. The lighting of the lamp was not harsh at all as opposed to the previous office where it would almost be blinding to look anywhere near. The massage chair as mentioned in other reviews was excellent especially since sitting in a chair for a long time tends to make you feel stiff. The dental work was done very gently and quickly, they even made suggestions on which equipment I should think to invest in for a cleaner mouth. The previous office was very rough on the flossing and when your gums would bleed they would say you need to floss more. This office was very careful not to stab my gums and I got out without any blood in my mouth. All in all I would highly recommend this office to anyone who does not currently have a dentist as well as for anyone who went through the same thing I had to go through in terms of insurance. Lembo and Montgomery provides a safe, honest and caring place for both adults and children. They care about your dental needs and make sure you know that you are a name and not just a number to them. Before I was officially a patient of theirs I was having a dental emergency and my sister had recommended I call their emergency number. They not only helped but did it while they were at a soccer game for their child. This not only shows their dedication to the patients but reminds us that they are human. The most important element of this office is that they are detailed in their work and you can tell they don't just hire anyone. Their team is just as caring and detailed as them. They take the time to explain anything and everything. I hated dentists my entire life and was just afraid because of a bad experience from childhood; these ladies and their team have greatly helped with all of that. I went in for a cleaning. Left there being told I needed dental work on left and right upper. I went with the left upper first. Said I had a few fillings that were cracked and needed replacing. I am not a dentist, so I made an appointment to have this done. I made 5 additional visits to this office for one tooth in particular hurting. I was told it was my bite the entire time and that my teeth were sensitive. I went back one time each week and had them do nothing. They adjusted the bite but pain never went away. I was sold very expensive toothpaste and given one tube because I was having to use it all the time for sensitivity. I finally went back to my dentist in Georgia. I took off work and in one visit he found the tooth that was bothering me and referred me to an endodontist. The endodontist saw me the following Monday and through many test, he determined this tooth needed a root canal. Thanks for taking my money Dr. Montgomery and not fixing my tooth. I was in a lot of pain, and it was like hell coming in to see you all for 5 different appointments. I was an inconvenience to your little schedule, but do not worry.. I will never be back. You messed my tooth up to where it took forever to stop hurting. I would not recommend anyone going to you all. read more
