This has been one of my go-to food trucks for the past few years if I am craving Mexican food. The…read morevibe is very causal and laid-back since it is a food truck. They have their menu plastered on the side of the truck which includes things like burritos, tacos, sopes, tortas, etc. I ended up ordering two brisket tacos supremos ($4 a piece), which have tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, and sour cream. They come with two small containers of salsa (one is spicy and the other is mild). I also ordered esquites ($6.50), which is corn in a cup with mayonnaise, cotija cheese, tajin, Valentina, and lime. The people who take your order are always very nice and quick. I waited about 6 minutes for my food to come out, and they call you over when it's ready. The food was all hot and so fresh. The brisket in the tacos was very flavorful and cooked well, and the esquites were tangy and juicy. They give you great portion sizes for the price and quality in my opinion. I have never had a bad experience here, and would recommend it to anyone needing a quick bite to eat.

But the wait is worth it for the quality and amount of food that you get. When I want to treat myself to comfort food truck food, I look for this truck. Best of all, Nia (the owner) is super sweet and takes pride in her product. She often operates solo so her regular customers who know how good her food is don't mind showing her grace when it comes to the wait times. Trust me, a visit here is well worth it! I have yet to try her crack okra, so it looks like I'm due another visit soon!

If you follow my yelp review amd or my fb foodie reviews yall know my love for Asian cuisine ,that being said I LOVE AN EGGROLL CHILE !!! When it comes to an egg rolls, I'm looking for That CRUNCH, like when ya perm was growing out when u was younger and the nape of ya neck got real crunchy .. yeah like that . I wanna hear that CRISPY CRUNCH FILLING - enough to fill the wrap but just enough where I can still taste the wrapping . I love that part . The filling to wrap ratio is important . I ordered - 1 Philly cheesesteak - 1 cheeseburger Honestly, they are similar in taste . I couldn't tell the difference even without sauce, however for some reason the first one i tried , was better it didn't have red peppers in it ( if dab can tell.me ) The flavor 4/5 Crisp/crunch 5 Value for money spent : 4 Would I return : yes As stated in video ,I only have one critique . The lady at the truck was so sweet and nice . She apologized for the delay . She was short staffed and handled it with grace. She was not snarky nor showed a lack of commitment to fulfilling all orders . She showed appreciation for my business and thanked me for my support . I recommend supporting this BLACK OWNED BJSINESS ! ESPECIALLY if you like eggrolls . I heard she has deserts, burgers and beverages as well . I also heard next week they will have a SOUL FOOD EGG ROLL! I HAD ONE from a business in TX and would love to try that out once available ! Tell her I sent you Be sure to follow her on socials and here on fb for updates on location!

The filets are big and you get two of them plus two sides. I'm an okra fan and the mac & cheese was a good choice too. This was worth the drive to Centerpoint. The first time I had SKA was in 2020 at an event at The Hangout (now closed). It was a bad…read moreexperience .. the event started late, the food wasn't good, the building had no heat on New Year's Day. Just bad all around. I said never again. Fast forward to this week, 7/2024. It was my turn to pick a place for happy hour. I called SKA last Thursday & asked what time happy hour is? The staff replied "Either 4pm or 5pm until 7pm." I asked her to please find out and I'd wait. In response she asked me what time I planned to come. I told her, 4pm. She responded, "YOU SHOULD BE FINE AROUND THEN." I was baffled and just asked for her name and ended the call ... We went to Courtyard 280 ‍ It just so happened that my friends picked SKA for brunch today, Saturday. I'd resolved that I was going for the company and would put all of my past experiences aside. My food experience had been prior the food truck and brick and mortar. So I was open to giving them a chance. I'm so so glad I did! They refer Saturday brunch as a Day Party. It's on the louder end of the spectrum, which is perfectly appropriate for a day party vibe. There was a DJ ... at some point my friend asked, Are they playing GloRilla?!? lol! I'm a fan so it was fine. Our waiter had great energy and he was attentive. The decor is nice. We ordered the mimosa flight. They were good, 4 flavors - strawberry, mango, blueberry, peach - not too sweet. I ordered shrimp and grits. The grits were thick (that's how I like them) and well seasoned. The shrimp was plentiful! was not over cooked at all. There was shrimp in most every bite. I'd recommend this. My friend ordered the fried catfish and grits and said she enjoyed it. The biscuit tasted canned - it wasn't needed though. This was a nice experience!
