Sigh ... this location is new so go in with patience. On my recent visit , it was a steady flow of people. The young staff was nice. I did sense some confusion with orders. Perhaps it was due to them being backed up. Their smoothies come in just one size. I ordered Paradise Point and I liked it. Pineapple, strawberry and banana usually go well together. I had been wanting to try this place since it recently opened near our house, and when I bunch of coupons showed up in the mail, I knew that was a sign to give them a try. We have been a couple of times ( my husband d has been and picked up order to bring home) and we have been satisfied with everything we've tried. The Cheese and Chicken quesadilla is quite bland without the salsa, but it does have a kick and wouldn't be appropriate for small kids. The smoothies we have tried have been good as well. Looking for a spot to grab something to drink, we settled in on Tropical Smoothie Cafe. When we entered they have a large dine in area - since they serve lunch time foods (sandwiches and wraps) and offer a pretty good deal for a lunch combo that includes a smoothie. The current specials poster caught our eye. My wife went for the Dragon Fruit Smoothie (dragon fruit, mango, pineapple and banana) and I had the Starfruit Smoothie (starfruit, mango, strawberries, and lime). I think hers was just a little better than mine. Hers was a better combination of sweet and the dragon fruit paired well with the other ingredients. Mine had just a tad of sweet and a tad of tart (probably coming in from the lime). The starfruit was kind of muted in this case. Mine grew on me - fortunately, and I had no problem destroying the whole thing. Glad we stopped by here, smoothies were pretty good. We've tried this place out several times since they've opened. So far, we've been very pleased with the food and the service. We've had several smoothies, and the flatbreads and the quesadillas. The pesto flatbread (not a big surprise to all who know me) has been my favorite so far. It can be a bit oily, but has a great flavor. The cheese and chicken quesadilla was good, but a little bland unless you use their salsa or some other seasoning to help give it some kind of oomph. The employees have been nice. The prices may be a little high, but overall, I think this has been a great addition to the area and add some needed variety! read more

They then sent a text message to track your order. I even received an text when my order was ready. They have a pickup stand right inside the restaurant and greeted me immediately. The service was great considering it was about like 19 minutes before close. The server who cooked the food is named Mica-h, she did an exceptional job, tell the managers, tell the regional manager, tell the district manager, too tell the corporate, tell the manager at the store managers etc... until all of the people who can help her get a bonus, just as good is MiQa-h and then I think Charla-Joy, i think that's her name, she did the cooking side too. she did some cooking and Kayden or Caden or cadyn did the smoothie side and the cashier work, these workers were and are exceptional!!!! If I could give ZERO I would. Although they all may be great people, Cleaniness is questionable. The girl preparing another customers smoothie bowl dropped the spatula (or whatever utensil) as i was paying for my smoothie. The cashier and I both looked back. I was under the impression that she would discard that one and get another or maybe even clean that one. I WAS WRONG. She proceeded to the banana for the smoothie bowl with the same utensil that just hit the floor. I asked the cashier is she still going to use that. She said no she sat it to the side. I then continued to watch and exclaimed that she is STILL USING IT. I requested a refund and left. THAT IS DISGUSTING. I'm really glad to have a smoothie place on this end of Trussville again. The smoothies have been consistent and very good. However, the food, don't waste your money. Several times we have ordered from work and we wind up throwing the quesadillas in the trash. They aren't very good and not worth the cost. i was actually really surprised with this place! i went & got a thai chicken wrap & it was delicious! it was warm, & toasted & was filled with flavor. the veggies inside tasted fresh & the sweet thai sauce paired nicely with the kick from the chicken & spices. i got it with a side of maple kissed sweet potatoes which were nicely sweet & soft. i give the wrap a 8/10 & the potatoes a 7/10. read more
