It is a very convenient service. Plus it truly cuts down on all of the cardboard boxes used during packing. We did a mix of Lend A Box and traditional cardboard boxes and I was disappointed i hadn't ordered more Lend A Boxes. They are sturdy, stackable and no mess once you have moved into your new home. Great product and service. The boxes arrived clean and ready to go, and with a sufficient supply of labels and tabs. Much quicker and easier than using cardboard boxes for a local move, better for the environment, and the movers were able to stack and carry them around more quickly. A friend recommended Lend a Box to me, and they were fantastic! The delivery and pick-up of the bins were very quick and easy, and the gentlemen who delivered and picked up were super friendly. The bins are sturdy and stack easily, making packing much faster than having to tape cardboard boxes. I only had to get big cardboard boxes for odd-shaped, large items that didn't fit in the bins. This is a GREAT service! Our apartment was being remodeled so we had to temporarily move out of our kitchen and bathrooms and pack away any valuables. What a great find! Lend A Box was incredibly useful and well-run. We used them on a recommendation from a friend and immediately realized how much easier it would make our move. No more hunting down boxes from grocery stores and neighbors. No more wasting packing tape putting together box after box. We just used Lend a Box for a move my girlfriend and I just made. Ordering the boxes online was super easy and the crates were in great shape. They provide labels, cable ties and even FRAGILE stickers allowing for the easy organization of all of our things. They dropped off all the crates so we didn't have to go out and purchase moving boxes and they picked them up once we were done so we didn't have to worry about getting rid of all the boxes. Overall this is a cost effective and environmentally friendly way to move. Also, we need an extra 2 days with some of the crates so they gave us an extension and picked them up a few days later. Lend a Box is a great idea and a great service to anyone moving. I ordered their 1 bedroom package (20 large boxes, 5 "small" boxes) for my move. Their boxes are easy to use, stronger than your typical cardboard boxes, compact when empty as they stack within each other, and make the job very easy for your movers who don't have to worry about fitting different sized boxes together in a truck. They deliver them to your place and, after your move, come by and take them away, so you don't end up having to break down a bunch of boxes to recycle or store somewhere. And the price is comparable to what you'd pay buying your own boxes and tape. As for the people, I would call out the two young ladies that delivered (and offered to walk me through how to use) the boxes and the young lady that picked up the boxes but I'm horrid with names so I forgot. However, they, and every other person I talked to or worked with could not have been nicer. I don't plan on moving again any time soon, but I would use them if I did and heavily recommend them to anyone moving. Let's face it: The worst part about moving is building, taping and disposing of cardboard boxes when you're all done. (And then they go to the recycling bin if someone can't take them off your hands?!?) With Lend a Box that problem is solved! The boxes are a cinch to fill, close, stack and move. Wow! How did I move in the past without Lend a Box? They are worth every penny! From ordering to delivery to pick-up, the staff was so easy to work with and nice. Both delivery and pick-up drivers were early! I ordered the one-bedroom package (plus three crates for the kitchen), but I would recommend getting a few additional crates just to be on the safe side (I ended using about 3-4 boxes). Originally I ordered the crates for two weeks, but was finished with them early. I was able to adjust the pick-up date without any issue. read more

Renting these boxes was a great idea. It made it so easy to pack and move. With the dolly, you could roll the boxes around to everything you wanted to pack. You also didn't need to worry that your box of fragile stuff ended up on the bottom of the pile because the boxes are nice and sturdy. I also think it makes it more efficient and faster (and cheaper if you hired movers) to move everything. Specifically, Lend A Box was wonderful. Lend A Box is a great way to move things: the boxes are strong and easy to carry, they include more than enough to move stuff out of a 1 bedroom apartment, and it's very affordable (about $125 for 25 boxes for 3 weeks, which was a good decision since the blizzard completely nixed the weekend scheduled to move) and they include a dolly which saved my back. The customer service calls you to confirm delivery and pickup of the boxes (a real person--which is good because I had forgotten what time they would be collected). In addition, the guys that deliver/collect the boxes are prompt, polite and friendly. If you are moving do yourself a favor and use Lend a Box. No cardboard, no tape, no breaking down boxes, no dragging out cardboard when you are just exhausted. I just used them and it made my move SO much easier. Great service- they come when they say they will, on time, and both my delivery and pick up people were personable and very helpful.
