I dealt with Mark Denny in trying to secure a 203k mortgage…read more I worked pretty quickly to get him all the information he required (I was unaware at the onset that he would need me to dig through storage to find tax returns despite not being self-employed). Five days after sending him the final document he requested, nothing. No response. No "I have received your information". Nothing. I had to contact him after five days for him to tell me he couldn't find a way to make the loan work because of my DTI, which is fine. My problem isn't the fact that my initial application wasn't able to be approved, but the fact that I was left in the dark FOR FIVE DAYS about the fact that I could not qualify. I could have quickly moved some money around and remedied my DTI, but instead, I lost five days that could have been better spent working toward securing a loan and buying a property. Even if that would have taken too long to reflect on my credit report, I had another investor I could have put on the application to even things out. Furthermore, when I explained to him the necessity for good communication and speed when it comes to buying property, he responded with a smug "I'm guessing you cannot resolve your DTI problem". He refused to acknowledge his lack of communication and then tried to blame what he thought was my lack of ability to reallocate funds for his lack of professionalism. He even goes on to give me marriage advice and explain that I should get back with my ex-wife. Communication, speed, and professionalism are key to any good working relationship with your real estate team. Mark Denny has none of these qualities. I don't know about the rest of Cornerstone Mortgage's loan officers, but the fact that they keep this guy on their team tells me enough about the company. I'll be securing my loan through another broker. If anyone at this business would like a copy of all the emails and interactions with Mark Denny, I would be glad to provide them. Mark has my information. He knows who I am.

However, they have no issue taking my money every month. I am planning on buying a new house this year, but will NOT be going through Cornerstone again (Jack Buck, Jr.) to save myself the grief of dealing with this lousy Guild Mortgage Company. STAY FAR AWAY FROM DOING BUSINESS WITH THESE FOLKS! There are plenty of other lenders out there that respect their customers and will actually speak to them when they have questions or need assistance.

The loan officer Olivia Moore continued to give false untrue information and at one point actually argued with me. She was rude and made the process very stressful. The closing was extended 5-6 times. I would not recommend her to anyone. She has cost me 100s of dollars because she did not do her job properly. And she promised me a buyers gift that I never received even after I contacted her a month later. I understand she no longer is with the company and pray whatever job she hold she is knowledgeable because in my own personal opinion she failed in all areas and I will never do business with her or American Pacific Mortgage, she is a reflection of the company and at some point someone in management should have known that she wasn't doing her job properly.

I called several places trying to apply for a USDA home loan and because I am low income the door…read moregot slammed in my face everywhere I went. Until I called Wells Fargo and got a hold of Zachary Post. Most places refused to even give me a ballpark loan amount or give me any information without running my credit. Zachary spent over an hour on the phone with me trying everything he could think of to try and find some options I was comfortable with. Some issued came up regarding my credit, and he was even able to give me some amazing tips on how to work it out. Everything finally got settled and he got me approved for a loan! This process has taken almost 4 months, and we are still looking at 3 months to go. Zachary has been there every step of the way and has answered endless amounts of questions and calmed many a near nervous break down on my end. If Wells Fargo continues to employ such high quality individuals as Zachary they will be in business forever I'm sure because he is amazing.
