The staff at this location are very polite, quick and helpful. It is very clean and maintained with nice seating area. They do have ample free parking in from of the bank area. They also have a complimentary coffee place inside the location.

The wait time is always at least 45 minutes or longer. There are 2 tellers for each of the two…read morelanes and the wait time is always bad! One of the visits there were no tube in the machine, I pressed the button for assistance and after 10 minutes a teller finally decided to say acknowledge me. That's is just one of the many occasion.

Until this is resolved and I am left happy, this is my review. I've also been a member for roughly 10 years. Things have changed and not for the better. This branch has a nice security guard that is actively monitoring rather than sitting in a room hiding from our sight. It makes me feel safe and he kindly opens the door to let people in and out. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and getting the job done. The only thing that sucks about this is that their branches are not convenient. There are multiple occurrences where my life as a college student really prevents me from going to a physical branch and calling is just not the same as face to face conversation. The hours make it hard for me to find an opportunity. Now I won't penalize this since this is a con of a credit union. Other than that they have great rates and I'm confident that if you want to see and experience what a credit union is like then Georgia United is the way to go. This location is the most convenient one from Emory. It is also located in a great location of Northlake in Tucker Georgia.

I opened an account back in January to park some cash in case of emergencies. Opening my account…read morewas tough, I filled out the application online and simply never heard from them for over a week. Eventually I called and they processed it. Fast forward to four months later when I need to do a household repair that costs about $1,000. I try to buy what I need and my debit card is declined multiple times. I have plenty of money in my account so first I confirm with the retailer that it is in fact the bank declining it. Since it's after 5 I can't call anyone at GUCU. When I finally do get to talk to them they tell me that I have a daily limit of $310 on my debit card. They were gracious enough to offer a daily exception this once. So basically, that's what it's like to bank with GUCU, they have your money so you can't spend it.
