My goal was to lock down a home that fit my needs of having an open floor plan and a two-story home. I wanted to avoid a place that was built like a quick production line with yards back to back, lack of amenities and without unique indoor and outdoor upgrades. Mattamy homes really did a great job in chapel crossings. So here's my honest review: Pros: I met with Kurt, the new home counselor who was so welcoming and very straight forwarded about what to expect with Mattamy. The home prices were very clear and I toured a few homes MANY times. This was a huge deal since it was our first time buying a home and I was extremely picky on what I wanted for my main floor. Moving forward with Mortgage Loan Officer: I went through the home buying process with Mattamy homes and another builder. Again Mattamy was straight forward and I wanted to really shoutout Danny who I have maybe called daily to discuss my loan information. He was incredibly patient and detailed throughout the entire process. Even with my doubts and questions on specific things, Danny and Kurt really solidified my trust in the process and after a few weeks we decided to move forward and lock it in. Value: Mattamy homes is a big upgrade compared to the typical mass-produced homes that serve no aesthetic landscaping like Dr Horton and Lennar. My husband and I are always driving around communities and breaking down the pros and cons. The uniqueness of the layouts, color choices, landscaping and overall design puts Mattamy homes on the top list next to Homes by WestBay and Pulte homes. I want unique features in my home and community that didn't scream out "average" I wanted more and got just that. Value is 10/10 When looking for value I don't focus on "affordable or money saving" when buying a home it's way more than that! Area: Chapel crossings is a quiet, upgraded community with lots of landscaping throughout the community that surpasses a lot of other areas. We get nice palm trees, paved roads, amenities with a lazy pool, gym, pickle ball courts, dog park and walking trails. Builder and Warranty Rep : Scott is great I had so many questions for him and he walked me through how to care for the home. During my walk through and third party inspections, I went through the homes one year warranty process with Raj who is always available to assist us. He is very professional and ensures our concerns are heard and fixed within time. This requires an online request and let me tell you, they are ON IT. Within a week or so my issue is fixed. I never had any outstanding issues or worries about the structure. It was mostly cosmetic that was fixed asap. If I was ever questioned to buy a home from Mattamy homes I would 100% say yes Cons: the streets are a little smaller than most communities but that eliminates the street parking which is SO MUCH BETTER and cleaner looking than a bunch of cars parked all over. Construction is loud but expected The distance to the next home is a bit small If I wanted a larger lot then I would have gone for that so it wasn't my main priority Overall I would rate Mattamy homes 10/10 and I want to thank Kurt, Danny, Raj and Scott for their assistance on getting my first home
