She took care of the confusing process of hiring inspectors, surveyors, and whatnot. She also walked us through the actual purchase step by step, which was super important because even though I'm a lawyer I understood .001% of what the paperwork was about. However, communication throughout the entire process was extremely poor. It took almost a month for her to list the home, despite our family helping to clear things out promptly. My parents' home was not in the best condition, and while Cathy initially offered to help improve its appearance for the listing, that follow-through didn't really happen. What's most upsetting is that my parents walked away with less than 20k from the sale of a home that sold for more than 400k. That outcome is incredibly disheartening, and I truly believe they were taken advantage of. Whether it was a lack of transparency, poor negotiation, or just overall lack of advocacy -- the service they received was far from what any family should expect. As their daughter, I feel terrible that my parents had this experience. I believe Cathy could have done much better, and I hope this review encourages more awareness and accountability in how agents treat clients, especially kind hearted people.

He tried going behind our backs to acquire a pool table he took upon himself to write into the deal without our knowledge with the intent to keep the item, poorly represented us throughout the deal and the kicker was not paying us monies he blatantly agreed to resulting in a small claims case which resulted in our favor as he is once again-A LIAR! Stay as far away as possible from this guy if you're looking for a smooth transparent transaction. His broker isn't any better as he backs his agents whether they are in the wrong or not.

Following that fiasco, it was recommended that I go to Sparks Tile and Stone. Immediately upon entering the store, I was warmly greeted by Kathy. Who took her time and gave me quite a "tile 101" education, which was greatly appreciated. She gave me so much to think about, I came back the next day and Ashley helped me, as Kathy was on her lunch break. With her help AND the knowledge, I'd gained previously from Kathy, I was able to swiftly select the tile and make my purchase. I'll drive back tomorrow to pick-up my order. It's a 60-mile round-trip from my home (Carson City) to Sparks Tile and Stone and I'm happy to do it for the incredible service I receive here. What a fantastic and friendly business!!!
