This is a great place to bring your child to play in a group with other kids the same age. They will watch your child play and place them in a group according to their age/ability. It's a beautiful facility with 20 tennis courts and a golf range adjacent to the courts. Great coaches and also very affordable at just $35 a lesson. You won't find that price anywhere. He finally found something he likes and always had the biggest smile on his face running up and down the basketball court and laughing and looking at me and his dad during class. The owner calls me last night and says Happy New Year but unfortunately your son isn't progressing like we hoped and he's no longer welcome here anymore and we can't even offer him private lessons because none of the coaches here are able or willing to teach him. Oh but we love your son she kept saying over and over. Oh really? You love him so much but you're willing to break his heart cause you're reputation of being an elite basketball school is more important than providing happiness to a child who faces adversity every day of his life and for one hour every week he looks forward to attending your classes and is so excited that he wears his uniform for an hour prior before we leave. Apparently my son isn't the first special needs child to attend this school and then get booted out when he or she didn't rise to their standards. Never mind all the money I had to pay to buy the uniform, the basketball and the initiation fee. This is awful what the owner is doing. She's getting $500 upfront and letting these special needs kids play for several months and collecting the monthly dues on top of the initiation dues and then kicking them out of the program. What a lucrative side hustle. Again, if your child has any kind of disability, do not attend Royal Basketball School.

When I first started lessons from him in 2008, he was already advocating the value of an open stance and dual dominance in the legs well before Djokovic would go on to prove this method to be the way of the future come 2011-Present. His Warrior Workout group classes are better than any gym membership you could afford and promote the speed, strength, and flexibility you need to compete in the modern game. In sum, he has all the expertise of a Personal Trainer to go with the technical skills of an accomplished coach. Since training with Rod, I've never been in better tennis shape and in fact, the only reason I got the job as a tennis coach that I have now is because of the knowledge and technical proficiency he imparted onto me! I owe him a lot and could not be happier with my progress to date. And for as frustrating a game as tennis can be, you won't have a more fun or social experience than when you're out there on the court with him. I began taking lessons with him when I was just 6 years old and have been working with him for a total of 16 years now. When I was younger, he taught me the basics and helped me develop a solid form and foundation that I continue to carry with me today. As I got older, Vaz would point out the fine details of what I needed to adjust to be better, and through repetition he helped me turn that basic groundstroke into a wicked forehand. In my sophomore year of high school I was brought onto my school's Varsity team. I consistently played as one of the top players, and none of that would have been possible without the training Vaz gave me. He helped me with both my doubles and singles game and was patient with me through skills that were harder for me to learn, like serves or volleys. When I would return home from breaks during college, I would do lessons with Vaz and it is always a fantastic form of exercise and learning at once. Tennis is such an enjoyable sport, and it can be made even more enjoyable by learning from a teacher like Vaz who exhibits patience, knowledge, and understanding. Through all this time Vaz has been so kind to me and my family - we all think he is the best and each of us has taken lessons here and there!
