Extremely rude and uncaring I came here to have two procedures done. There was no one upstairs to help guide you to go downstairs nor was there any signs. When you enter the building there is a lobby but there stairs upstairs and downstairs for you to check in. It was unclear where to go exactly. After going upstairs fruitlessly I realize I had to go downstairs. I checked in and the front desk was okay. I didn't like how they called your name and spoke what procedure you were getting very loudly. Everyone in the waiting room could hear. The procedure I needed to have required me to have a full bladder. Unfortunately my bladder was not full, so I had to drink water and wait. The technicians were cruel and very uncaring. They made fun of me because I ended up over drinking water and I had to pee very urgently and then the appointment took longer than necessary. I don't understand why technicians think it's okay to make fun of patients behind their backs and in front of their faces very loudly so the patient can hear. The procedures needed to be used on a full bladder And on an empty bladder. if my bladder was so empty why didn't they do the empty one first instead I sat there and waited almost four and a half hours for a procedure that I was told with only take 15 minutes. He wanted to discus my private matters in the waiting area then told me he could do the exams I was scheduled in advance. They wasn't equipped to do both. Came here for an Xray after going to Highway imaging and being told the radiologist wasn't in. Spent over 40 minutes on the buses just to see a note on the door that said no Xrays. Apparently they were full and they don't allow anyone else to go until it empties and they said that could be hours later. I had called and was told that I could definitely get them done and now this!They told me to go to another Lenox Hill and when I got there, they weren't doing Xrays either! The website is horrible, the people you get on the phone is a call center and no way to actually talk to the office you are going to. I ended up going to a NYU Langone office with no wait. All of sudden, after several years of using this particular facility for my annual screening mammography and my own email address, my husband received and forwarded me their annual reminder about the procedure which HE HAD found in his mail. I reacted with my surprising and question to the sender with no reaction whatsoever. Even the 2nd request stayed unanswered. Being aware of the strictest US rules about non-disclosure of any medical information without special instruction, I still have no any explanation from the Midwood Lenox Hill Radiology how this could happen. read more

Technicians are fine but the scheduling and desk staff has zero training, zero sympathy, and zero motivation to be helpful. They shuffle around paperwork but do nothing to help patients and have no interest is helping improve the flow of the office. Office is run down and once you leave, it's impossible to get in touch with them again. In my case I never got the results I needed and ended up in the hospital having to repeat the imaging. The 1.9 star rating is well deserved. I never had a worse experience at any medical facility. After reading the horrendous reviews of this unprofessional establishment, I was hesitant to go and my doctor recommended that I call first. After pressing an inordinate amount of buttons, I was finally able to reach a live person. I inquired whether a radiologist was available and was told yes. While I was told they take walk-ins, the agent told me a slot was open in 30 minutes. I gratefully told her I would take it. I had to rush to make it there at the designated time. I was greeted my signs plastered all over the walls stating "No More X-Rays today." I figured they would still honor an appointment. I was way too optimistic. There were several staff members; one at a kiosk and the other at a desk. The woman at the kiosk was very rude and couldn't care less about helping me. I told her I made an appointment and she replied that they don't take appointments. When I persisted, she asked me name and told me I wasn't on the list. So, you keep a list of appointments although you don't take appointments? She said the call center shouldn't tell people they have appointments and they're not responsible. Excuse me????? The call center is representing the business and should give accurate information. I have an injury and it wasn't easy for me to travel. It's INEXCUSABLE that patients seeking medical testing should be treated that way. If the call center is not giving accurate information then the calls should be answered directly by someone at the facility. UPDATE: It's very disappointing to receive the identical stock response as given for all the other one-star reviews. I have many neighbors who have had similar unacceptable experiences and don't take the time to write reviews. This facility has no regard for patients. I was told by the front desk that they were not responsible for inaccurate information provided by the Call Center. I beg to differ due to the legal concept of vicarious liability. They are found by the information (misleading and false) given by the Call Center staff. I needlessly travelled to the facility, while dealing with a serous injury, where I was refused diagnostic treatment. I was referred to this location. But oh boy, words are probably not enough to describe this place. Absolutely poor customer service. It seems like most of the Staff hates talking to the patient. No greetings and no courtesy at all. Well, I should say there was one exception. The hispanic lady on the front desk. Professional enough to at least talk to me and answer my question. My impression is that all the Staff in this place hates their job and eveything that they are ask to do. But in this field and area of work that they do, communications is very crucial to avoid mistakes. Unclear instructions on where exactly to go next. Housekeeping was ridiculous. I checked in at 0740. There was one patient ahead of me waiting for his test to be done. The housekeeping guy without saying a word pushed his bucket and just keep mopping the floor. There was no sign in place for the floor for being wet and no warning to be very careful. From my observations, most of us have issues in walking, some are old and for us to have another accident or incident on the diagnostic place is an awful and will create huge problem. He then was not satisfied with the mopping, this housekeeping guy sprayed the entire place with some freshener or whatever is that chemicals. I almost screamed at this guy. I just stared at him and give him the hint at least say something. What if there was a patient who have asthma or allergies. It is very important to communicate in this kind of place. More patients arrived almost all the patients inside are covering their noses and did not complaint. It is imperative that Lenox Hill Managemt to immiediately review and have some mandatories to their Staff. I was there as a patient and believe me when I say I should give this location 0.5 STAR. *I thought I came here in pain but it is more painful to see on how the Staff just come to do their work for the day without quality service. read more

The worst location for a mammogram that I have ever been and I was almost locked in another location so that is saying a lot. You wait weeks for an appointment but they don't go by appointment times - they follow the sign in sheet. I had to wait about 1.5 hours. There are no lockers or bags so bring something to carry your bra and shirt in after you put on your robe. They let men sit in the same waiting area and the women in their robes. The techs blame the front desk for the long wait and the front desk blames the call center. Go to the Lenox Hill on Ralph or Flatbush. Just when I thought it was bad, it gets worse. I was just yelled at by the tech for asking a question while she was speaking and then she opens the door to the room while I am still topless. read more

I have visited the Midwood location twice now within the last 30 days with my 15-year-old daughter experiencing a foot injury related to soccer, an X-Ray followed up with an MRI weeks later. Our first visit was scheduled for late afternoon, a typically busy time for any medical office and yes, there were several patients in the waiting room. As it was our first ever visit, there is always paperwork, insurance, etc., that needs to be completed prior. The entire staff was very efficient with both the processing of completed documents, advancing from the waiting room, and staying within the confines of the appointment time. We were in and out inside 45 minutes, received a copy of the X-ray (CD) and the Primary referring Doctor was notified of the results within two hours. Our second visit (MRI) was an equally proficient and expeditious experience, minus the paperwork, my daughter was ushered into the back for the procedure within 10 minutes of arriving for another late afternoon appointment. As I waited, I observed other patients' names being called out and leaving the waiting room area at a brisk pace which suggested to me that this facility was running a punctual schedule, somewhat unusual for any type of service industry provider. In the end, the MRI report was completed (unfortunately, not favorable) and sent over to the Sports Medicine Physician within a few hours, not the typical 2-3 days that MRI results can take. With that information in the Doctors hands and a diagnosis established, we were able to quickly move forward with the next steps toward healing and getting our daughter back onto the soccer field, hopefully soon. So, a big thanks to the staff, Concetta, Nancy, and technicians at Lenox Hill/Midwood for facilitating an unpleasant reason for having to be there to one that was amiable and positive. read more

She stated " I can't be here that long , I am feeling in for someone " . It's my nature when someone make a request if I can help I always do. I came in 2 1/2 hrs earlier . As soon as I worked in I was being rushed . The receptionist was rushing me that she forgot to request the co-payment . The technician 1st words to me were " I've been here since 7:30" . It has nothing to do with the clients, if there's an issue with your work hours speak to management. Don't complaint to the clients who have busy lives and tried to schedule their appointments around their work hours . She was very unprofessional and rude . She was speaking to me like I was a child because of a slight movement that I made . I mind you she taped my feet together. I have had well over 25 MRIs done never had someone taped any part of my body together. As I came out the receptionist was waiting for me at the top of the stairs . As if she was afraid that I was going to leave without paying the co- payment. I felt so insulted but I kept my composure. I make over 3 figures and can afford the co-payment. She failed to do her job by not asking for the co-payment in the 1st place , because she was rushing me to get upstairs. The charge for the service $ 2,414.00 . Take your busses elsewhere. I will . This review is for Lenox Hill radiology in Columbus Circle. I had an awful experience. Came all the way I'm from CT because my doctor's office insisted I use this facility (strange - why do they care?). When I booked, I asked if they run on time and how long it would take. I was told 30 minutes and yes, they run on time. I then arranged my day around this appointment, leaving myself a full 75 minutes - plenty of time for a 30 minute appointment. I showed up on time, and was told they were running a full hour behind schedule. It meant it would be impossible to have the MRI and make my next commitment. They offered to reschedule me at another facility on the upper west side and pay for an Uber. When? 4.5 hours later! As if I had nothing better to do than wait around all day for my appointment. This was incredibly upsetting and disrespectful. I was told the reason was that they had an issue with a patient in the morning. They allow a patient issue to blow up everyone else's day? No parameters around the amount of time given to a single patient so that it wouldn't impact everyone else who had appointments? Also, they said they are a medical facility- as if that gives them some sort of license to not keep their appointment times. Let's be real - they take expensive pictures. No phone call or text that they were running behind? They were certainly texting me 2-3 times per day with appointment reminders. No - They let me come all the way in before telling me how late they were. Very disrespectful. read more

My orthopedist sent me here to get an MRI for an injury. Service was horrible. They put me into the MRI without being gentle of my injury. They also did not give me the emergency buzzer while I was being put into the machine and I had to stop them and ask for it. The CD machine was not working that day of my MRI and they told me it would be fixed in two days- it wasn't. I had to go to a different location to get the CD that my doctor had requested. And here is the kicker- my results were not ready 7 business days later! They said it would take 2 business days! The report was not done in time for my follow up with my doctor and I had to reschedule. Ugh. Do not go here! read more

My girlfriend came there for a sonogram. So me being her boyfriend I ask if she wanted to come in and see the sonogram when its taking place. Then one of the ladies going go say oh I can't come in the room. Like what I'm the baby father and I can't see my baby mother sonogram. I went off in the facility. Just recently I was a patient at the LHR -Midwood center for 2 mri's. Needless to say I was apprehensive and anxious. Office was busy but the manager seem to have everything under control and was moving the patients. I expressed my concerns to her that I might be caustrophobic. She was sympathetic and so understanding. She told me she and her supervisor Nancy would help me get through the exams. Well Ms. Concetta G kept her word! ! My gratitude to Ms Concetta and Ms. Nancy and the mri tech. True professionals! Great service, great staff! I would highly recommend this cenetr. Took my parents to this place for a chest x-ray. The entire experience was a breeze. It was our first time there, and we expected a lot of bureaucracy and a long wait, as it usually happens at places like this. Instead, it took these guys about 30 minutes to help us finish all the paperwork, do the procedure, and send us home. The staff was extremely courteous, and the manager appeared very knowledgeable, and answered all our questions in a clear (such that two older people were able to understand everything) and professional manner.
