    As soon as I arrived on a fairly busy Saturday afternoon to have my glasses adjusted, the woman at the counter greeted me cordially. She was already helping someone so a man from the back came out. He professionally heated and slightly adjusted my glasses. Plus, Bowie Town Center is lined with interesting shops.

    I have been going to this Lens Crafters atleast once a year for about 8 years. They consistently provide world class customer service. I moved about an hour away and I still drive back to Maryland to get my glasses from this location because the staff and the management are fantastic. This location has an excellent vibe. The management and staff seem to enjoy their work and it shows in the customer service they provide. I was educated about my vision exam, insurance benefits, and informed about my options every step of the way. The store is very well organized, clean, and has a large variety of premium designer frames. I like high end designers and I checked the locations near my home in VA - Tysons Corner, Springfield, and Pentagon City, but I found that the customer service and the selection of women's designer frames to be better in the Bowie, MD location. Thank you to the store manager Josue, Jacqueline in the optometrist office, and all the staff for all that they do. The people here are very warm and I refer all my family and friends here. I'll be back to use my vision benefits again next year!

    I need glasses but I'm not blind, there is no tent in these lenses.

    In my experience with this store there's only two sales people that will take care of your order flawlessly. The rest are the worst, one attempted to over charge me, another time the adjustment on a new pair of glasses was so bad I just gave up and came back so someone else could fix them. And now they broke a frame that I wanted lenses for and although they replaced them the aggravating point was I had to call them for status after two weeks. Also when I picked them up one of the sales people tried to tell me they glasses where tented when they are clearly not but attempted to explain me away with saying it's because it's because of that brand. Now I now they order and cut the lenses as well as polo don't cut the script they only make frames. I will not return after this.

I began coming here in 2019 as a family of 6 and growing kids; the staff has been patient and caring. I cannot praise them enough. If you have kids, get the warranty; it's worth it.     My recent visit to Visionworks was incredibly frustrating. When I arrived to shop for glasses, an…read moreassociate acknowledged me but remained seated across the sales floor, watching videos on her phone and wearing a Bluetooth earpiece that played music audibly throughout our entire interaction...including the purchase. It felt like a clear signal that helping customers wasn't her priority. I browsed on my own, found a pair of glasses, and had to approach her to start the purchase. When I asked if there were other models in the same brand, she said she could only look them up if I had the SKU number. It felt more like I was interrupting her than being helped. About a week later, I came back to pick up the glasses after getting a pickup notification. When I entered, a different associate asked what I needed, and I said I was there for pickup. She told me to wait off to the side and I did. Then, another man walked in after me asking about available frames. Instead of finishing my pickup, she began helping him...searching the system and eventually chatting with him casually while checking her phone. I was left waiting, completely ignored, for over 15 minutes. When she finally brought my glasses over, she simply said, "They're already paid for, so you can leave when you want." I asked if they could tighten my old pair of glasses. She said yes just bring in the old pair and we can fix them. I then told her that I had the old pair with me and she simply said, "Not today." No explanation. The store was not busy, and there were still three hours until closing. When I asked again, if she could fix them today to save me a trip coming back, she simply repeated, "Not today." I said, Ok and walked out confused and honestly a little stunned. It wasn't just unhelpful -- it felt pointed. I can't say for sure why I was treated so dismissively, but when someone else walks in after you and receives full attention while you're made to wait without cause, it's hard not to wonder if bias played a role. I was given no other explanation. I get that the abhorrent behavior of our president has everyone on edge but that's still not a good excuse. This experience made me feel like my time and my business didn't matter. I won't be returning, and I would strongly caution others before doing business at this location.
