Some of this is my responsibility too but come to find out that LensCrafters is not in network for VSP even though they were two years ago. I bypassed all the negative reviews about this LensCrafters location. In the past couple of years I went to another location which I heard all are independently owned, I was not pleased with the doctors. My recent experience at this LensCrafters has restored my confidence in the brand as far as my eye exam went. The store is located In town center mall between JC Penney and the now closed Sears. There is an entrance both inside and outside the mall. When I walked in for my 5 30 PM appt on a Wednesday, a young lady kindly escorted me to the Doctor's office. Everyone including the Doctor was Amicable. I was happy to hear they have a policy that you can come back within 30 days if your glasses are too strong to have the prescription adjusted. My experience with my eye exam was very pleasant from beginning to end, they answered all of my questions and I felt confident about the health of my eyes when I left. After receiving my prescription I went to pick out my new glasses. I prefer LensCrafters over other places due to the high end brands they carry. A young lady gave me a tray, told me to fill it up with all the glasses I was interested in and she would be back once I was done. They had a nice selection of women's glasses from brands like Prada, Coach, Burberry, Ralph Lauren and a many more. I sat down at a desk to try on the glasses I chose. I was able to pick out 1 pair of glasses and they had a 50% sale on select sunglasses so I chose 1 pair of those as well as my second pair. Two associates helped me with the fitting, both were jovial. I was happy that I wasn't pressured into getting anything I didn't want, they offered and moved on when i said no. Before finishing up the transaction they tripled checked to make sure the order was right. I had a great experience inside this location, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The store was clean and organized. The selection was current and the frames were all very tasteful. Now what did not go well was after my visit. My two pairs of glasses arrive on Saturday, only 3 days after my appt. I was called to come in and pick them both up. Then I received another call asking if what were clearly supposed to be sunglasses were just that. They were sent in with a clear lens, so I was only able to pick up my primary glasses. I was very understanding, I was told they reordered them on that day and they would be in 7 to 10 business days. Welp it's been well over that time and everytime I call about my sunglasses I get the run around and then I'm told someone will call me back and never do. If I am able to track any other order I make from any other store there is no reason why they should not be able to tell me the status of my glasses. I spent a lot of money on my glasses and at this point very disappointed in this location, I had so much hope things would go well. At this point I doubt I will get glasses from here again, but I will definitely be back for my eye exam. read more

I have been buying here for the past 4 years. Never had a problem like the bad reviews others are putting out. On the contrary, service has been 5 stars. And be clear y'all, this review is for LensCrafters not for the eye exam people, Atlanta Eye Group, which I get wonderful service as well. I'd like to commend Kim for her excellent customer service and patience. Did not rush me into making a decision on glasses, answered all my questions and because she wears glasses herself, she related her own helpful experience. Thank you Kim! You're an asset to LensCrafters. I hope they value you as I did. I think more satisfied customers should take 5 minutes to relate their positive experience. These people are the worst, I have been buying glasses here for me and my family of 3 for past several years, not cheap I like Oakley's because of digital lens, All there frames are expensive and god help you if you have a problem!! Terrible customer service. I was told the glasses would have been ready in two days. It took more than a month. They knew where the glasses were. I am in Kennesaw. I was told I could drive the hour to McDonough to pick them up. I paid several hundred dollars for these glasses. I called every few days. The service was rude. Never again. Never, never, never. Please don't EVER go to LensCrafters or Lenscrafters at Town Center Mall for your eyewear needs. Paid $300 for glasses for daughter PLUS the year protection plan that covers EVERYTHING!!!! NOPE. Dr. Jerry E Berland at Thomas Eye Group (which we LOVE) changed her prescription, no big deal. Because he's NOT a LensCrafters doctor (HE IS MUCH MORE QUALIFIED FOR KIDS!!!) they are wanting to charge us $400 for new lenses... Talked to the manager Franco. I expressed my frustrations and he said too bad. I assured him I would never go back to them and he literally was like, Ok, whatever..... WHAT!!!!!! He should be reprimanded for his careless want of customer retention. If you tell me you could care less, I will tell my corner of the world that you stink like a skunk at customer service. I had 2 bad experiences at this location i don't know if it's because I'm Afro American or what but the first time coming the young ladies were extremely rude and looked at me as if i didn't belong there and they feared for there life the second time dr.corbett was extremely passive aggressive sarcastic and rude ....i Litterally had to address her about her actions and instead of apologizing she continued the sarcasm and rudeness....i will never utilize this location ever again and u advise everyone else to find a different location because this one ain't it .... read more

Disappointing customer service and getting the store manager to listen to your issue(s) tends to be pretty difficult. I'd been lied to about the delivery of my glasses (they'd arrived but the factory made a mistake so the lenses needed to be reordered). Then folks couldn't seem to check on if they arrived when I called. When I attempted to speak with Store Manager Josh regarding my issues, he still wanted to hand be off to another employee. I had to be a bit too insistent for my own taste to force him to listen. After a lot of excuses, I finally got an apology, but no discount (for the third pair of prescription glasses in two months). Josh is obviously used to complaints. There are other optical centers around including a new LensCrafters in the Outlets of Atlanta just north of Woodstock. read more

I went in here on a whim after having to make a quick stop to a store in the mall. I'd been here and other places previously just to browse glasses but being that I am so indecisive I never found anything that I wanted to settle with. Today when I went in it wasn't long before someone came over to help me. He was very helpful and attentive and instead of walking away to let me browse on my own, he was constantly there helping me pick out different pairs based on what I said I was looking for. At some point he did walk away to help some other customers which was cool because I was still only looking at the time anyway. After a good 30 mins or so I think I'd narrowed it down and he offered to go to the back and see if there were others similar to what I was looking at. He came back with 3 pair and one of them I really liked. So after going through a bunch of glasses I was able to narrow down to two pair and another female staff member came over to give me advice on the two. After all of my indecisiveness, I finally got a new pair of glasses. Initially he'd told me it would only take a day for them to be ready (while I am use to a least a week at other places) since they were about to close but once he went to the back to grab my receipts to sign, he came back and told me that they'd actually have them ready in 10 mins. So instead of just telling me come back anytime tomorrow, they were preparing them in the back while I wait as they close up). It actually took about 15 mins or so but that was fine by me seeing as though it saved me the trip of having to come back later in the week just for glasses. I can't comment on the ease of scheduling and the exam process because I previously had my exam done elsewhere. But the customer service was good. I have no complaints from this visit and I'd probably return here in the future for glasses. read more

The doctor was fine. But the eye glass sales people were very unprofessional. They actually refused to provide pupillary distance unless we purchased glasses on-site. Pupillary distance is part of any vision prescription. What a bunch! Never going back there. I refuse to spend my money anywhere that gives bad service. I've never been happier with an optometrist. I had to get an emergency pair of glasses after mine broke, and my optometrist couldn't get them in for a week. I made the 30min drive to the Lenscrafters at Town Center and was met with excellent customer service, incredible selection, and wonderful people. Would recommend to anyone! read more

The doctor I saw was really nice and helpful. That is the only nice thing I can say, though. I arrived on time for my appointment and waited almost an hour. I waited over 45 minutes for my follow up appointment as well. However, the reason I am leaving one star and will never go back is because of the terrible customer service event that unfolded right in front of me. A doctor and maybe manager/owner of this particular location ( he claimed so anyways) came marching out of the back room to the waiting area to scold his staff in front of the customers waiting that they cannot allow anyone to use the restroom in the back hall. The lady that had just used the restroom was sitting next to me and he proceeded to scold her as well. He then started arguing with her about the situation and was extremely rude. He stated that it is due to patient privacy laws etc. I'm not sure I believe his argument as all of the patient files were sitting behind the front desk, but in any case he acted like a total jerk and turned something minor into a huge situation that it did not have to be. All the lady simply stated was that he could have brought the staff in private to tell them not to bring patients back to the restroom. It was extremely unprofessional and he ended his rant by telling her she could get her care elsewhere. I would have chimed in to tell him what a moron he was, but my mouth was on the floor and I was too busy being stunned by his behavior. Just do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. read more

Gave them two chances, won't ever go back. Will pay more to go somewhere else. The doctors were fine but the front desk is a mess. Went for my exam last Saturday and waited 45 minutes to get in. I asked about it after watching 2 people who got there after me go back with a dr. When I finally got to go back (which magically happened right when I asked) the doctor apologized for the front admitting they're chaotic and had messed up appointments. I was assured that when I came back today for a contact lens check it would be "super quick, just taking a few minutes". I went even though I'm not feeling well, thinking I'd get in and out fast. Plus they wouldn't give me contacts unless I went in for the check. After waiting 25 minutes and again watching others going in front of me (shame on me for waiting so long, I know) I went up and asked. The girl was extremely rude and said the doctor would get to me when she got to me. Someone one else stepped in letting me know it would be soon. One of the 7 people that sit behind the desk staring at each other, doing nothing, finally did my check. Not sure she was even a dr and don't care just wanted out of there. Go somewhere else people. The doctors may be fine but the service is terrible. read more
