Money is all they care about, not customer satisfaction. Order a pair of progresive reading glasses over a year ago, but could never wear them. When I looked down at the foor, the floor appeared 10 feet away, When looked up through the top portion of the lense same thing. The only time I could get sharp vision was if I looked through the very center of the lense. 2 months ago I decided to try a new pair. Had the exam from Dr. Lam, and like before I was escorted to the optical side of the building for new frames. Yesterday I went to pick them up, but while there I could read 8, 10 and 12 point type. But the lettering on the wall which was 20 inches tall was blurry. The sample reading card 8"x8" I was holding looked like a trapazoid! Not Square! The young lady who was fitting me for frames said "we made a mistake and "they" must have over prescribed the lenses. Finally, this morning I called at 9:50 to cancel my 10:15 appointment. I live 5 minutes away. They receptionist said they are going to charge me anothe $50 cancellation fee because they have a 15 minute window limitation on cancellations! Go figure! They will not grant a refund, not part of their policy, even though they admitted by their glass-fitter it to being their own error! They got their $$$ and all they can say is sorry. read more

I typically leave the optometrist glad I only have to do it once per year. I cannot explain how pleasantly delighted I was that I left kind of bummed that I would have to wait an entire year for my next visit. Dr Lam was the kindest, most knowledgeable Optometrist I have seen. He talked me through everything they did, told me about things I should be aware of, and made me feel heard about my sensitivities to certain contact lenses. Not to mention the staff was so kind and welcoming (they even helped me with my little party crasher - my 4 month old daughter). Loved my experience overall, cannot wait to visit next year. read more

Each of these doctors leave no stone unturned when working with their patients. I especially appreciate them not trying to upsell and recommend glasses when they aren't needed. I just cant express the difference between the budget Walmart eye center and a COMPETENT eye Dr. I saw Dr Michael Lam and am very thankful I did. Walmart vision had my prescription messed up and had me compensating with reading glasses. Dr Lam took some time....balanced my prescription out....and eliminated the readers (at least for a few more years anyway!) And honestly.........their prices are similar. I have been so impressed by Dr. Dorfzaun! I was a hard to fit contact wearer because I had Lasik surgery 10 years ago so my cornea is now flat. I had asked my previous eye doctor about contacts and I tried some with him, but they were uncomfortable so I thought I just couldn't wear them anymore. My husband had talked to someone who had recommended Dr Dorfzaun for contacts. He spent many visits trying to find a pair that would fit comfortably. I finally got a pair that are so comfortable, I can wear them for hours. It is incredible to not have to wear glasses all the time, especially playing tennis and jogging! I highly recommend Dr. Dorfzaun. He was patient and tenacious about finding me a pair I could wear! read more

The worst experience I could imagine from a 'professional' practice. Three times they messed up my lenses. Twice they were filled with the wrong prescription and the last time they sat in their back office for three weeks because they forget to send them to the lab. After two months of frustration and horrible customer service, I asked for a refund and filled the prescription elsewhere. BUT, the problem continued because they didn't return the refund to my insurance company even after I had their reassurance that they would handle it. When I went to file my claim for my glasses, I was told Dorfzaun never issued the credit back to EyeMed. It took hours on the phone trying to get thru to Dorfzaun to finally get this resolved. I would NEVER recommend this business. read more

My family has been going to Dr. Dorfzaun for over 10 years. I have referred friends and patients to that practice for years. The drs and Dawn in contact lens are great. But the front desk is ABSOLUTELY THE WORST. They don't know how to talk, they have NO customer service. The optical department doesn't pick up the phone, never calls to tell you your glasses are in. You have to call and leave many messages before someone calls you back. If you have an emergency and need assistance on their working hours, they ate not willing to help you out. I doubt the drs know what the staff is up to. I would not even give it 1 star rating. read more

After more than eight (8) years of doing business here I've decided to find a new optometrist due to my latest experience here. After driving 30 minutes to my scheduled appointment I arrived with my face covering and had my temperature taken by the staff as COVID precautions. However, I was told that I would have to remove / replace my face covering to proceed with my appointment. My face covering had a simple American flag on it. For reference, I've worn this same face covering to multiple doctor's offices and one with a family member for outpatient surgery, but I've never been asked to remove / replace it. I'd prefer to give my business to a service provider who is more appreciative of their customers. read more

Whoever answers the phone there has absolutely awful phone etiquette. At the very least when they pick up the phone they should state the name of business so I know who I'm calling. Just their entire manner iwas really unprofessional. When I speak to someone like that I question whether everyone else there is equally slovenly in how they do their job. If I hadn't been in previously and know this wasn't typical of this company, I probably would have hung up. read more

Dr. Dorfzaun has been my ophthalmologist since I was a girl. As a young married woman, when a over enthusiastic pet scratched my cornea, he met me and my husband on a Sunday afternoon in his tennis outfit right off the court to help me in my emergency situation. So far the Dorfzaun Eye Group has provided excellent care and service for my parents, my husband's parents, my generation, and my children grew up under their care. The Dr and staff are very detailed and helpful to my needs. The person doing my pre-exam is very patient with me since I had so many questions and was very helpful. Dr. Patel is also very detailed and gave clear explanations that even I could understand. And made sure during the eye exam each change in lenses was the correct choice. I had to have him go back and forth a few time. He too is very patient with me and my questions. He seemed to enjoy the opportunity to answer all my questions completely. In these times when customer service is evaporating, the Dorfzaun Eye Group is rock solid with customer service. Also experience excellent and impeccable customer service from the Optical staff. I've been to other physicians, but nobody has done a better job handling my eye care. They answered all of my questions, both cost-related and concerns I had regarding my eye health. In addition, they explained everything they were doing and why it was important so that I was well informed on each step of the process. I've tried several eye doctors around the area but when I needed bifocals I decided to try to find the best eye doctor based on reviews in hopes that the process would be smooth. Dorfzaun was very highly rated so I tried them and was very impressed! The doctor spent hours with me getting just the right bifocal contacts, and all of the follow-up visits were free until I was satisfied with the lenses. The eye exam was the most thorough I've ever had, the staff was all very friendly, and the doctor spent an amazing amount of time (and patience) making sure the contacts provided the best vision possible. Dr. Dorfzaun literally gave me my vision back when I was in the ninth grade. I had put eye glass cleaner (the one with the red cap) into my contact case, not knowing what it was. The next day I was in a rush to get to school, popped my contacts in, and left them in for over an hour, despite the pain. When I took them out, I had to flush my eyes out several times just to stop pus from forming. When I got to Dr. Dorfzaun's he knew exactly what to do. After three weeks of daily visits, my eyesight returned to me. I will continue going to him for as long as he is in business. read more

I found the office to be unclean and old. The staff was very rude! I have been wearing glasses for a long time and been to several eye clinics and found this one to be awful! They treat you like you are stupid and talk down to you. Not to mention they nickel and dime you to death. I will never be back. Do yourself a favor and do NOT make an appointment at this place!
