I filed a dispute with my credit card company and Family eye care of Marietta flat out lied to the credit card company and refused to refund. They lied and said I signed papers consenting to their refund policy which never happened and they have no proof of that. Stay away from this place if at all possible! The prices are a rip off! The only time I could get sharp vision was if I looked through the very center of the lense. 2 months ago I decided to try a new pair. Had the exam from Dr. Lam, and like before I was escorted to the optical side of the building for new frames. Yesterday I went to pick them up, but while there I could read 8, 10 and 12 point type. But the lettering on the wall which was 20 inches tall was blurry. The sample reading card 8"x8" I was holding looked like a trapazoid! Not Square! The young lady who was fitting me for frames said "we made a mistake and "they" must have over prescribed the lenses. Finally, this morning I called at 9:50 to cancel my 10:15 appointment. I live 5 minutes away. They receptionist said they are going to charge me anothe $50 cancellation fee because they have a 15 minute window limitation on cancellations! Go figure! They will not grant a refund, not part of their policy, even though they admitted by their glass-fitter it to being their own error! They got their $$$ and all they can say is sorry.

I checked three times before my appointment. After my appointment, they charged my copay and then not only did they not bill my insurance properly, but they also overcharged for services they didn't provide. Then, months later, after multiple phone calls I made trying to figure out the problem, they told me the provider I saw was not credentialed with my insurance company. Immediately after they told me this, they sent my account to collections. This is by far the worst experience I've ever had with a company who provides eye exams. One red flag I noted was the optometrist told me they'd had some "billing and insurance issues" while she was performing my exam. I've made no less than 25 phone calls trying to correct all the issues, to no avail. Please find another provider. You'll save yourself a lot of headaches.

So my daughter recommend I take them here to see if they could fix them- so I did! I left them on the condition "we may not be able to fix this" but I knew they would be more successful than me!! The staff on the glasses side even know my daughter and me by name -- that's how long we've been patients here. Unfortunately, my recent experiences have been extremely disappointing. At my last visit with my 3-year-old, I arrived at 9:40 AM and wasn't finished until after 11:30 -- nearly two hours of waiting. I understand that delays can happen, but this level of disorganization, especially when caring for a young child, is unacceptable. When I came back for my own appointment, I waited over 30 minutes in the lobby before even being seen. I always arrive on time or early and schedule the earliest appointments possible to avoid long waits, but that clearly didn't help this time. It's very disheartening, because over the years I've purchased at least five pairs of glasses, two pairs of sunglasses, and two pairs of glasses for my daughter. I even planned to get another pair this month. Sadly, after these last two experiences, I've lost confidence in the practice. My family and I will be taking our business elsewhere, and my mother -- who was planning to start coming here -- has now decided not to. I truly hope the office takes this feedback seriously. Loyal patients deserve better communication, organization, and respect for their time.

I was only 23 years old at the time and very fearful of the operation itself. Dr. Schoenberg walked me through everything step by step. This gave me some faith in him and the machine before the operation. It wasn't until during the procedure when I realized what a great Doctor Schoenberg is. The nurse was saying technical terms to him while he was operating and Dr. Schoenberg's response was "I am not worried about that right now, I am worried about Charlotte." That is when I had complete faith that Dr. Schoenberg. He knew EXACTLY what he was doing and was taking good care of me. I was beyond grateful to have him as my doctor. After he was done with the Lasik surgery he was BEYOND excited for me, so excited that he even asked to take a picture! That meant the world to me, especially because I've never been able to see clearly. I have always had glasses, since the age of four years old. I will never forget his kindness and enthusiasm for this big change in my life. I was one of his youngest patients and I am telling you right now, it was hands down the fastest and easiest procedure I've ever had. My eyes have stayed at the 20/15 vision even after three years later. Great staff and wonderful experience. Goodbye glasses and good riddance!

After about a 15 minute ride, I pulled into their parking lot which had plenty of available spacing even though it still appeared that they had a lot of customers inside. Once inside, I checked in and was called within a few minutes after my arrival. After that, the proceeds was very efficient. The eye exam ran like a well oiled machine! I'm glad I found this eye care facility and will be back next year for my annual exam.
