Today, I received my Grampy's glasses with my own prescription lenses put into his frames. I am beyond ecstatic, and my heart is so full of love and joy! I'd like to give a special shoutout and a HUGE "thank you!" to Laura and Dee at Lensecrafters in Kingston for making this magic happen-- we all had goosebumps when I put them on, and as Dee said, "He's here with us!" My husband and I needed new glasses and went here in Kingston. Jessica waited on us and she was terrific. She is very knowledgeable and helped us with our order. She was very pleasant and helpful in answering our questions, and we had quite a few. With all the different eyeglass stores our there, the difference is the people who assist you to choose the right glasses. Jessica did just that for us. Prices are typical of most eyewear stores in the area. I would recommend this store and you will be fortunate if you get Jessica to assist in your order. read more

The doctor in this location is pretty rude. She got aggravated when I asked a simple question. She wants to go to the next patient as soon as she can. She does not like questions. This is not a one-time thing. The first time I went there was two years ago. She had the same nasty attitude. I thought to go there again because nobody had an appointment available right away (I can see why) maybe she just had a bad day, but Nope she had the same nasty attitude. She does not belong to the medical setting. I wonder if the medical school she went to failed to teach about medical ethics and professionalism. I do not have nothing negative to said about the young staff that work in the store that helped me two years ago and they were very good and professional. The doctor needs to learn from them. All them are excelent except the older dark hair lady who acts like manager, she is as rude as the doctor. Both are competing for the rudeness thophy. read more

I went in there for reading glasses I came out with $350 bifocals. She (Dr.) said I needed glasses for night driving. I wore them at night and it made absolutely no difference. She told me I might have macular degeneration (I don't) so this prompted me to get them. I'd never go back, except to try and get refund. read more

I ordered 2 pairs of glasses and was charged to have them shipped to me. After a few days I got notice that my glasses were ready for pickup. I assumed this was an automatic notification so ignored it. After another week I got a second notice that they were ready for pickup. I then called and they had been sitting there - they said there was no note for shipping. They then said they found the note in the electronic notes but not on the written notes. I also had my existing glasses, which I had purchased from them a couple years prior, adjusted while I was there. After adjustment was made they were no better; falling off my face and completely coming apart. I showed them the problem again; they adjusted a second time; this time the stud they put in the glasses was sticking out. After a 3rd attempt it was no better. After a 4th attempt the stud was fixed - but the glasses were crooked. I gave up. My glasses are now worse then when I went in, they still fall off if I look down and they now sit crooked on my face. Oh and I was dealing directly with the manager. One last thing; they advertise free shipping for glasses on their website but charge if you purchase in the store. Do yourself a favor: go elsewhere! read more

Yesterday, I booked an appointment for a regular eye exam online, however as my insurance provider wasn't listed on the website, I opted to not input the information there as I assumed (like most doctor's offices) I would be able to give them that information when I checked in. I got a text at 9pm last night from a random phone number confirming I would be paying $265 out of pocket for a contact lens appointment (I don't wear contacts). I replied that I had booked a regular eye exam and that I did have insurance, and the number asked for me to text them my health insurance card. As the number wasn't listed anywhere on the website and I do not feel comfortable sending my insurance information to random phone numbers, I asked for verification via an email from LensCrafters or to call the store tomorrow and was told to call after 10am. At 1:30pm, while in a meeting and having been in classes all day, I received a phone call and text telling me my appointment was cancelled by LensCrafters because I didn't have updated insurance information on file and to call to reschedule. My appointment wasn't for over a week and I had planned to call after that meeting, however now I will be booking an appointment elsewhere. read more

Awful experience. Incredibly rushed and the person who welcomes you did not know how to answer any of our questions. Entered our insurance incorrectly, and any question we had about the appointment he could not answer. The first machine test the doctor could not locate my eye with the machine, and was physically pushing my head into the machine to the point where I had a mark on my forehead. The eye visit itself was maybe 3 minutes long, and me and my wife ended up going to a different eye doctor the next day and they gave us a completely different prescription than was given at Kingston. COVID review: purchased a new pair of sunglasses and the manufacturers website and order confirmation directly refers customers to LensCrafters for complimentary adjustments and cleanings (which I was able to show store staff). Came here with my new frames to get them fitted to my face and was treated so rudely by the woman on the front (older, short blonde hair), that I would never come here for any services and will not refer anyone I know. Shoutout to Blake who still did my adjustments when she refused and tried his best to make me feel welcome - the only reason for the second star. Worse yet, when I told her to "take care" upon leaving the store, I was blatantly ignored. I don't care that she didn't want to serve me, we're all on high alert and edgy right now and I get that, but I am insulted by how she communicated and ultimately dismissed me. She is a poor representation of the company. read more

The following is my disturbing experience. My takeaway is "buyer beware at Kingston Lenscrafters." First, Dr Vo @ Dynamic Eyecare got both my & husband's prescriptions wrong. And she told us both that we need cataract surgery. A reputable opthamologist disagrees with her assessment. So why is she pushing $urgery??? Then Lenscrafters got my progressive lens measurements wrong not once, but twice. After the third time they issued a refund rather than fixing the problem. I think it's a crappy way to conduct business. But that's just my personal opinion. read more

While I have no issue with the staff of LensCrafters, the doctors office here is less than stellar. My wife and I both had to go back multiple times to have prescriptions fixed. They were rather inflexible when it came to scheduling the follow up appointments and then left my wife with 90 days of contacts she can't use! They refused to take them back after saying they would help remedy the situation. We will most certainly not be returning to this location. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Dr. Vo is not a doctor more like a joke. She got my prescription wrong as well as my fathers. It's expensive enough to buy glasses and was incredibly frustrating. When my father called the office the woman on the other end was extremely rude on the phone, sighing and eventually hanging up on him. We were able to return our glasses but now we have to go through our insurance to appeal what was already billed. My advice is to get your prescription elsewhere and take it to LensCrafters for frames. read more

I cannot speak for the employees of LensCrafters but stay far far away from Dynamic Eye Care!!!!! Making an appointment was easy but after that I couldn't get a hold of the office to get my prescription. I kept getting we're busy and will call you back with long wait times. And when I finally did get a hold of them they had a serious attitude. There are definitely better places to go in the area and I will not be back. read more

I have purchased glasses there multiple times. They have a great selection of frames, only thing I don't like is they can't make my lens in office they have to be sent out. usually takes less then 10 days. Which is partially my eyes fault! Highly recommend their insurance plan I have bad luck with glasses the plan have probably saved me atleast 600$! Most of there staff are very good. Kathy is great though! I usually only try to go in when she is working she is so helpful and nice! read more

I didn't have enough time to get an eye exam through my normal optometrist after losing my glasses and needing a new pair to drive. I was worried I wouldn't get my glasses quickly no matter what I tried, but I was able to get an eye exam, pick out new frames, and have glasses ready in a span of 3 days. Both the optometrist's office and LensCrafter store have great staff. When there was nobody waiting for an eye exam, the woman at the front desk of the optometry office helped me pick out frames and gave me her thoughts on how they looked. It was a very pleasant interaction. When I had picked out frames I was immediately helped by the manager of the store who was pleasant and professional. He really seemed to care that I had the best experience possible and seemed very knowledgeable. All of these interactions happened while there were multiple other customers (between both the optometrist and the store), but I still felt like I had a personalized and pleasant experience. This is my first time doing business with LensCrafters, but if every store were like this one I'd consider it a good sign. read more

The optometrist was fantastic! - she took the time for a thorough eye exam and explained the diagnosis in great detail. Took my step daughter there for her exam and glasses. The Doctor was great. The Opticians and staff were great! The selection was huge and they had a lab on site. She got a nice pair of clear and sunglasses with her new prescription. She is thrilled with her new glasses. I'll be going there for mine next month. Service was Great!!! read more

About a year ago I purchased a pair of glasses from this location. It was the first time I purchased glasses here, but I've owned at least five pairs from various places. When I first purchased my pair, they seemed a little too strong, and it would make me dizzy and nauseous. I eventually became used to the feeling, but it was an unpleasant experience. After around six months, I found that there were spots on my glasses. Tried to clean them with every product and cloth that I had, but the spots wouldn't come off. I brought them back to the store, and was told that it is something called "delamination." The finish was coming off the lenses. I was given a new pair of lenses for free, but it took three hours for the people to finish putting them in. I was told it would take 15-20 minutes. Also, I was told that this only happened with every 1 out of 200 pairs. When I got my new lenses, I was satisfied. But, not for long. I, like any other normal human, drop my glasses every once in a while, by accident. The worst possible thing happened - the frame snapped right down the middle of the bridge. Once i had replaced the frame, I found that there were new scratches on my lenses! When I would turn towards light, or turn at a certain angle, the same spot on both lenses would blur everything. They obviously were not concerned with being careful. Over the past few weeks, my lenses have developed the same spots. The delamination was happening again. I do recall, that I was told it happened with every 1 out of 200. How is it possible that I managed to snag 2 out of 200? Yesterday (Sunday, 1/24/16) I went back to LensCrafters so I could exchange the lenses for new ones. Again. Instead of being served, I was questioned, and the women almost didn't believe me. I showed her my glasses and she said that it is most likely my fault, as occasionally, I quickly clean my lenses on my shirt. Out of the five pairs of glasses I've had, this has never happened. I let her take my glasses, and she cleaned them excessively, as I had already done, which I told her. She continued to make excuses as to why it was happening, blaming things that I may or may not do with or near my glasses. She told me that the lab isn't open on Sundays, so I was unable to have glasses that worked properly. I ordered the new lenses (I got them for free again; the only okay part of this whole ordeal) and was told that they would call me when the lenses were ready. At around 5 o'clock today, (Monday, 1/25/16) I returned to get my lenses, as I was called and told they were ready. The man on the phone told me that I could come in and get them, and they would just pop them in. When I arrived, I was told that the lenses weren't even cut yet. I asked why, as I had been told they were 100% ready. The lady told me that the lab wasn't open anymore, which I find absolutely absurd. When I asked her why this had happened, she said she didn't know, and went back to cleaning the counter. When I need new glasses, I am assuredly never returning to LensCrafters. I cannot stress enough how awful this place is here. Kathy I believe her name is, has given me the worst experience I've ever received. I had purchased glasses there about 4 months ago. Only 4 months ago... and I had noticed they had already become loose and tended to fall off my face. So I decided to go in and ask to have them just tighten my glasses up. Kathy has me sit down and takes my glasses and ridiculed me what brand they were. (The frame brand lense crafters didn't have but I received new lenses from them). She kept telling me that if she broke them it wasn't her fault since they didn't carry that specific brand. Break them. Why and how would she do that?! Then she blasts the machine to my glasses, I put them on not noticing anything wrong. And off I went. Then not even 10 minutes later I get a headache from the tightness of the glasses. With a previous bad experience before, I knew this was it. So I reached out to vision works in Plymouth. (I use to go to them but I had to switch due to insurance reasons). I went to vision works, they happily took me right away. Taking their time as they actually checked behind my ears to make sure it fit fixing each tiny angle. I couldn't believe the difference of the two places. I highly recommend you stay AWAY from LensCrafters and try vision works. read more
