This location over books and will keep you waiting and uninformed. I went in at 4:45 pm for a 5:00 pm appointment. Sat until 5:45 and was not seen or given updates. Seems like you are just there to be sold stuff with no real care for service or make people comfortable. Meanwhile, I went to Bay Eye Center and had the best care ai have ever received. My Dr. taught me a lot about my eyes I had not known. My appointment was at 1:30 and I was seen within 5 minutes of arriving and was out in an hour. The service and experience was incredible. I went to get a contact prescription, I have been wearing contacts for 50 years. I saw the Dr at the end of October 2024, I recently ran out of contacts and called to have them send my Rx to 1800contacts and they would not send the Rx. They said I needed a new visit with the optometrist. The Rx is good for a year , I'm not sure what kind of a scam they are trying to pull, find another Dr. read more

The staff here are extremely nice and professional. I have purchased several pairs of frames here over the years. I had a great eye exam over the summer and they fitted me with an awesome pair of multi-focal contact lenses. Unfortunately my vision insurance steered me to their own online store where they were able to offer better pricing on the contacts--to the tune of $100 off. I couldn't turn that down! I still need new multi-focal glasses, however, and will be taking advantage of Visionworks pricing on brand-name frames and lenses! read more

I'm on my 4th pair of glasses since June 2024 and they initially cost over $500. I didn't opt for insurance because I had glasses previously through covid with no issue....until now. Apparently the product is not the same quality. They won't replace the arms because they can't so I have to buy new frames every time. The frames are aesthetically pleasing, but though they look nice they cost a fortune and are made very shoddily. Break in the same place every time. Not user error, product error. Another vision works location melted one of my glasses lenses while adjusting my frames ( for the 10th time). I wear my glasses all day everyday, so seeing my eyes get ruined right before me was traumatizing to say the least. The store manger (Mark) called every near by vision works store which eventually lead me to the Plymouth,Ma. Rachel the supervisor in Plymouth's location was professional and empathetic. I had traveled over 100 miles to complete this emergency repair so she made sure the process was as quick as possible. Doug the technician who cut my new lenses did a phenomenal job considering the time crunch. If Vision Works gives out quarterly bonuses then Doug should get one. Though I personally will never buy another frame or lenses from this company ever again I would highly recommend the Plymouth location to any existing customers who are in a real pinch like I was. read more

We recently went to Visionworks at the Cape Cod Mall in Hyannis. My husband broke his glasses and was using a very old spare pair. We had an eye exam at another Company and walked in with a new prescription. Fortunately we met Julia Berry. What a sweet heart. She made everyone was safe with masks covering nose. She found a pair of glasses that my husband could pop in his lenses immediately. We ordered a new pair of glasses and walked out with new glasses so my husband has good glasses for the interim. I rolled over on my glasses in my sleep and even though I didn't buy my glasses from vision works they were more than happy to adjust my glasses. Very friendly staff. This place is the biggest scam on earth. First, if you desire a prescription for contact lenses, in addition to your insurance copayment you will have to pay an additional $60. Then to justify this ridiculous, unnecessary fee you have to go back so they can check to see that the contacts fit well. Huge waste of time. Sadly I was stuck as I waited until the last second to use my vision benefits. But I would highly recommend steering clear of this questionable business. Outside of their dubious contact fees they nickel and dime every aspect of a pair of glasses. Need coating? $80. Want a thin lens so the glasses don't feel like rocks on your face? $49. I will never, ever, ever do business with this place again. In hindsight it would have been cheaper to have let the vision benefit go for the year. I have great vision insurance and I still spent almost $200 between my daughter and I on fees and "extras". Stay away! read more

My family has gone to Visionworks for years and always returns with glowing reviews. I had put my own eyewear needs on hold for more than a decade and decided it was time to take care of that so I went into Visionworks on a Sunday afternoon during a big NFL game. I was greeted instantly and the GM, David Wang, even went so far as to say he remembered me then asked how I snuck away without my munchkin and husband. I felt like a VIP during my entire frame shopping excursion. I was left alone enough to look and was given the assistance needed to make my final decision when I was ready. Then I was informed of the BOGO event going on and proceeded to get a pair of Ray Ban prescription sunglasses too! At check-out, David ran the numbers for me and was willing to show me good/better/best but it turned out that best was so reasonable that I went with that. He really knew his product, could carry on light conversation amidst transactions, and kept things fun by including the young lady working there as well. I felt completely relaxed, pampered, well-regarded, and satisfied with my experience. I will go there regularly and continue to get a Mom break doing so. read more

Been waiting for my husband's glasses for 4 weeks with no call or follow up from Visionworks. Just called to ask about the status and was told that someone picked them up 2 weeks ago! We didn't pick them up!! This is a joke! How on earth do you give someone else's glasses to another person?!?! Now we have to wait longer for another pair to be ordered and made?!? How do we trust that this pair is going to be the correct ones? So frustrated and still in disbelief! read more

Came in for my yearly check up and the optometrist ran about 30 mins late. It wasn't communicated that she was running behind as I would have sat in my car rather than the lobby with several others waiting and picking out glasses. I was finally seen by the optometrist who did not acknowledge the long wait. As I go to check out I was informed the payment system was down and they would contact me later for payment but would not let me leave with my prescription because I couldn't pay. They call me later when the payment system is working and I pay for my visit and then told I need to come back to the store to pick up my prescription. Extremely inconvenient. In the next few weeks I make an appointment to pick up my contact lenses, again the optometrist is running over 30 mins late. The lobby is packed. A gentleman has his mask off. No acknowledgement again from the optometrist about the long wait. I did not feel safe waiting in the packed lobby. If you aren't comfortable waiting in a packed store during a pandemic and like to be seen on time, I would suggest going elsewhere. This location is very unorganized and lacking in the customer service experience. read more

I first always went to Brockton Visionworks for years to renew my eyeglass prescription but last visit was very cold greeting and made me question where and what happened to all those years of being treated with warm, caring customer service. I was led to Plymouth Visionworks and so very grateful for Lena's warm, caring patience which had me decide to stay with Visionworks. If it weren't for Lena, Visionworks would have lost a very long standing customer. Eyesight is very important so I suggest going to Plymouth before Brockton. It is unfortunate that Brockton's retirees are being replaced with horrible employees. Thankfully Plymouth Visionworks have a great caring staff with patience of sainthood. While I commend the customer service I cannot commend their product. My $300 glasses are peeling after just one year of use only for driving and class and all other times in a case. My last pair of glasses from walmart had much better quality for 1/3 of cost. Save your money and go elsewhere read more

I have to say, I was nervous going to a chain but DANG these guys have been awesome!! I picked out my frames easily enough (a decent selection just not as fancy brand names as LensCrafters but I don't really care) and my glasses were ready three days later. Them for several days I was wearing them and something just wasn't right. I took them back and they immediately started adjusting the frames and fitting them specifically to my head all while explaining what they were doing and why (my astigmatism was causing my eye to hit the lens as a slightly off angle making it blurry). Ten minutes later...PERFECTION. They were so nice, very helpful, and didn't charge me for the adjustment. Would definitely go back. read more

I can not say enough about this place. I am more than thrilled. I was very unhappy at our previous eye doctors. I fell upon them by luck. They are a new location, only open since around may 2014. I needed glasses and walked in there with my prescription. I was assisted by David who helped me find a pair of glasses I love. So happy. I've never had a pair I love so much. And they only took 2 days to be ready for me. I was so happy that my 18 year old needed contacts and glasses about 2 weeks later and went there. His contacts were in 2 days later and glasses just 1 more day. Next was my 22 year old who ordered contacts and had them immediately. Then my 14 year old wanted contacts for the first time ever and new glasses. She had her exam there and I thought they were quite thorough in the exam. I'm really quite impressed. I'd highly recommend this place. A huge improvement from the vision works we left in Pembroke which I disliked very much. David, Heather and Danielle were fantastic, very kind and very helpful.
