All the receptionists stood up to greet me when I got here, and the doctor was friendly. The office is clean, and very nice. I arrived at 9:59am for my 10:00am appointment on Saturday and stood inside the door (because it's Texas and hot in August, go figure) and was told " we are trying to stop the alarm!!!!" In a not so 10:00ish voice so early on a beautiful Texas day. There was a huff and puff like I should not have shown for my appointment at all, but most importantly on time.....the nerve of me..... Here is a tip.....for free to the office staff...... 1). Adjust your attitude 2). Arrive to YOUR office 10 minutes early to prepare for alarms and to log into your computer 3). I have to come back to pick up my contacts, if greeted again with such an attitude, you will get exactly what you give........ They welcomed me, and asked me to fill out my new patient paper work. When I was done, and went back to the front counter there was a lady that I believe is the Office Mgr, I could barely understand her, but she made it seem as if this photo option that was not covered by my insurance was not an option, so I agreed to it, she said "okay only $39 more". So then I was called back by Sharron, which further explained the photo option that was not covered by my insurance. I decided that I did not need, so I opted out of doing it, she said fine but you should consider it next time, and explained the benefits, I said I sure will. Then here comes the Office Mgr saying "he's doing it!" I said no I'll consider it next time. That was sorta awkward, how she was trying to up sell this option. But Sharron was the super star that made me super comfortable. Dr. Chen is extremely personable, and knowledgeable of his craft, he explained all my options, and gave his recommendations. I would have never known if I wouldnt have called. They wanted to re-order. Another 2 weeks. So if you really need glasses, not a place to expect rapid service. Now 3-5 day to refund me. We will see how long that takes. Not expecting a refund in less than 2 weeks.
