As new patients to Atasca Eye Center we made Monday afternoon appointments for myself and my husband. Early Monday morning, because they don't answer the phones until 9am, I called to reschedule because we wouldn't be able to make the appointments. This would give them about 7 hours notice. The receptionist rescheduled us for later in the week and then informed me that since I hadn't called 24 hours in advance, we would be charged $30 per appointment. First of all they are not open on Sunday so I called as soon as I was able to get them on the phone and second I didn't even cancel, I rescheduled. I said "Just cancel everything please because that is ridiculous". If this is their level of Customer Service I do not want them as my provider and they obviously don't need my business. read more

I was very please with the staff and doctor. Doctor was very good at making you feel good, comfortable and clearly explained everything that was going on. She explained everything she was doing during exam. She has been the best eye doctor I have ever had in my last 40 years. Plus, staff did not try to sell you other stuff you did not need. Amazing doctors and staff. This doctor takes his time and explains everything. Works hard to meet the patients needs.

I don't have any great experiences here. Every time I call I get sent right to their automated speaker.

I will absolutely not be returning to this location as I find it pretty funny they advise me of a balance owed for two missed appointments from something that I don't even remember for one scheduling. I had my last appt. in January of 2019 and someone named Alma to Elmo whatever her name is never called me back to let me know about my glasses that were suppose to be arriving in or the shipment of new ray bans. When I told her that she never called me back to let me know that there was a shipment she laughed saying well there are 11 months in a year. I said that has nothing to do with the fact your chuckling and being disrespectful and that you never called me. Like what the hell kind of customer service do you provide to be sitting here laughing on the phone. I said I won't be returning to this location and plus they are private owned and not corporate so yeah they don't care about much that's for sure. I'll go to Berkeley. read more

Dr. Bui is the BEST eye doc I've ever seen and I've seen plenty! So courteous, remembers such details about my previous visits and always seems to have such an "up"day. Has worked extensively with me over the years to achieve the goals I have defined. He's never in a rush and always has the time to answer my questions and explains everything in lay terms. What a shame! I've only used these folks for the last 15 years and today they refuse to see me without a mask. When I said I didn't have one they said it was required and that I had to wear one to see the doctor. Never offered me one and when I said to cancel the appointment threatened to charge me for canceling. To bad the doctors was always great. Now they loose a customer! I always have a great experience when I visit Dr. Bui. He answers my questions in layman's terms and explains the diagnosis and treatment options thoroughly. I live almost 50 miles from this new office but I don't mind driving the distance because I receive excellent care. read more

We've been going to Atasca Eye Center for several years. Our issue is not with either of the doctors as they are very knowledgeable and professional. Our issue is with the "billing" department. They are rude and refuse to admit when they have made a mistake. Because of them, my husband (who should've been eligible for an insurance-covered eye exam in May) is unable to get an eye exam until September. We will not be going back. They aren't the only game in town!! And Costco is a more affordable place to get glasses - even without insurance!! read more

scam artist!!!! my daughter is 19 years old. do any of you have a 19 year that knows what "billing" means? no, i have been her advocate, lawyer, nurse, chauffeur, and her provider for 19 years, she has no idea how "billing" procedures work. i hope this prevents anyone from going to your establishment. you stole $100 of hers for her college tuition, in all in all she didnt get any frames nor did she get her money back. read more

Both Dr.'s are wonderful, can't say enough about them! I just wish they were closer for us, traffic to 1960 is a madhouse. we had to find a different eye care Dr., not very impressed either. Proper eye care vs. maddening traffic....should be a no-brainer, right? read more

I have never been so pleased with an eye doctor visit before. I have been wearing contacts for 30 years and have seen other eye doctors. I was seen by Dr. Bui and he blew me away. He was so through, kind, and caring and really took the time he needed to listen to me. He was very profession and his entire staff were wonderful. My husband and I got glasses at Atasca Eye Center. Neither of us could see out of our new glasses. I took mine back and told them my vision was blurry with the glasses on. I told them that I had to use one pair for up close and the other for distance. (They were both trifocals.) Their friendly atmosphere turned to argumentative. They told me they would send them back but, I would have to go without glasses and if I didn't like them after they came back they would not redo them again. I took the glasses to TSO and asked the Dr. To look at them. He confirmed they were two different prescriptions. I went back to Atasca Eye and told them that my suspicion of two different precriptions was confirmed. They became hostile. My husband and I spent $1,700. Atasca Eye refused to refund our money. We could not afford to buy more elsewhere. read more

I place an appointment for my annual exam and they were to see me within 48 hours. I have been wearing glasses for the last 49 years, and I have to say Dr. Helen Kuo is the best that I have experienced, I should have ask her if she performs Lasik she definitely won my trust with her professionalism. read more
