I had my eye exam and two pair of glasses recently completed. I am 100% satisfied! Ordered a pair of Oakley progressives and a pair of RayBan progressive sunglasses for sports. The Oakley order had an issue and was quickly and professionally replaced. Cannot say enough in regard to Kiera's management style and the team she has in place. Marco and Greg also assisted through the process. I had NO issues with insurance and applied discounts. Thank you for a great experience and standing behind your products. Surprised to see so many negative reviews for this place! I normally go to visual eye of palm beaches but since I couldn't get an appointment for months out I asked around and my friend recommended to see Dr. Cho. The check in experience was great, they were friendly and efficient. Eye test was quick and easy! Dr Cho was amazing! She was knowledgeable, friendly and explained everything. After exam I had the pleasure of working with Leigh, she was fantastic! Easy to work with, knowledgeable, friendly, knows her stuff! She helped pick out my glasses and sunglasses and got found the best deal from my insurance! The whole experience was perfect! Think I found my new eye place! And their selection of eye wear is huge! I purchased glasses and spent a lot of money over and above what my insurance covered. I am very dissatisfied with the new glasses to the point of being unable to wear them. The problem is that the frames do not fit my face and the glasses slide down so that the progressive lenses are not serving me correctly. I have actually fallen twice because I could not see something right in front of me. I went back to the store after the 30 day grace period. The manager told me he was not an optician and could not adjust the frames anymore. He also told me that the store would not do anything to help me with a new pair because I did not purchase insurance. I contacted the corporate office and they supported the manager giving no regard for the quality of their product. read more

My optometrist said I needed glasses for work. Ugh. Glasses look good on other people. Just. Not me. I dragged my feet for a month or so. Finally, I chose LensCrafters. I didn't make an appointment. I was just a walk-in at the Gardens Mall. My wife and I met Leigh, who was very professional and very knowledgeable. She was patient and took time to help me choose frames that fit my face. And frames that I was pleased with. Here's the thing that made the difference. Leigh helped choose a lens based on what I do for a living... so that the lens didn't get in the way of doing my job. That's someone who goes the extra mile on your behalf. So. I recommend LensCrafters at the Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens. And when you go...ask for Leigh. You'll be glad you did. read more

Was quoted a couple of weeks for my glasses to come in, and we are almost at a month now with no real answers. Every time I talk to someone they tell me they are going to give me a call if it is pushed out for some reason, and sure enough the day after the last given ETA. I'm having to chase someone down to find out what's going on. To be fair the guy that helped me was nice in store, but now that they've got my money, they couldn't care less about my situation. Very dissatisfied with the Palm Beach Gardens location. Was forced to get an exam that I had to pay for when I later found out I did not need to. They could have just copied the prescription from my glasses!! Worst of all is that the doctor they told me to go to within the store did not have the correct machine to copy the prescription from my glasses! STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! I wish I could give a negative 5 star rating! I have never had a worst customer service experience in my life. My husband and I purchased, very expensive, glasses from this store. We both got scratch resistant lenses and paid the additional cost for the warranty. Within weeks, both of our lenses were blotchy and the coating began coming off. When we took our glasses back, the sales rep. and the manager were VERY rude and condescending, blaming the damage on the way we care for the lenses. I will Start here...Gardens Mall LensCrafters Store #0683 I was severely overcharged, deceived, lied to, and rudely ignored when I asked for an explanation and I will ensure that every consumer complaint site, social media including Facebook, Yelp, Google, and any other review site gets a full description of the treatment and commission driven lies by the sales and management staff at the Gardens Mall LensCrafters store #0683. The Price Hiking to deceptively pretend to give discounts is beyond a joke. I was given the first of the two pairs with deep scratches in the lenses and poorly prescribed by the Dr. I went right back, told it would be another two weeks. Why weren't these glasses inspected? Or do they just think it's ok to hand someone damaged glasses after they charged double for them? I just received the replacements as well the second pair. This is not the only issue... I was then charged an additional $274 + for Verilux that was supposed to have been from the start but switched to LensCrafters I believe to up their commission. So now for Lenses only (used the frames from the glasses from 1/2020) which I could not wear because it lacked the Prism, I have now paid nearly $1500.00 for lenses only since I used the frames from my order last year. So the cost was $996.67 and included the Frames in January 2020 and nearly $1500 this time for lenses only. Sound like severe price hiking? Jane the Manager (USELESS LIAR) said that she would give a discount with this order as they would not take the two pair I could not wear back within the 30 days last year or even give a concession and then COVID hit so I never even got to get them replaced. Oh, and by the way, the 2020 order did not even use my insurance and this order used my insurance and it was nearly double including using the frames from the ones from 2020. She is a pathetic representation of management as her excuses are horrible and she simply turned away to ignore me as though I had no value. She told me the difference from last year and this year is due to a Massive PRICE INCREASES!!! Really!!!! Anyway, just a quick note before the CEO's from LensCrafters and Luxottica and the Better business bureau and Facebook by which I will also post the receipts. Or you can forward it to the CEO, if Eric even cares... Bottom Line... I was screwed!!!! and will NEVER... EVER... Go back to that store or any LensCrafter. These stores have seriously lost their reputation and I see why. I will let as many consumers as possible that I can reach know why at LensCrafter stores it's "BUYER BEWARE"!! They act like $1500 is like buying a $2.00 pack of gum. I do not recommend the store located in the Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. The sales associate there, needs to learn to listen to customers better. As someone also in sales, I understand that sales associates are trained to up-sell in every chance they get. However, there should always be a win-win with the customer. They pushed my wife with the expensive high index lenses and AR options for the glasses of my 18 year old. She, not knowing much about glasses, accepted them. Having worn glass for over 40 years myself, I know my son does not need these upgrades! I called today to question the order, to which they tried to up-sell me over the phone at all cost. Everything from "well, doctor recommended this", to "you really don't want your son to have this?" comments. Then proceeded to tell me that because I was modifying the order, placed yesterday, this would be a final sale and Lenscrafters would no longer honor the 30 day guarantee after the glasses arrived. I've been going here for a long time. Even though my usual person Jen is no longer there. These bad reviews are surprising. The place is busy and corporate. The sales people are in sales. If they try to upsell you they are just doing their job. You can simply decline. Shouldn't be a big deal. The selection of glasses has always been good for me. So disappointed! After 6 attempts to adjust my husbands and my glasses we have to return them. The staff were not knowledgeable about the appropriate lenses for sunglasses so the ones we ordered just fell off my face even after adjustments. I tried to get an alternative but they do not offer any frames that will work because the lenses make the sunglasses flat instead of curved like they should be. In addition, each staff member told us something different about what would or would not work for me. Not helpful and such a PITA. Looking for another place to purchase our glasses. read more

I purchased two pair of glasses about 18 months ago after an eye exam at this store. The exam was thorough and I was pleased with my purchases. However, after a few months they both were really loose, so I took one pair with me when I went to The Gardens Mall. One of the employees made a half-hearted attempt to tighten them and, clearly, she wasn't happy about it. Today, I had to go to the mall and decided that I was going to try again. It was fortunate that Michelle was the associate that was free and could help me out. She carefully made the changes that were necessary for the glasses to fit properly again and, luckily, I had both pair with me so I am more than pleased. read more

I am only giving a 5 star rating because of Michelle, who is great! She spent a lot of time helping me pick out glasses and I ended up buying sunglasses and computer glasses because of her influence when I was only there to get a pair of regular glasses and just intended on looking and returning at a later date to buy the other two pairs. She convinced me that it was better to take advantage of the sale that day instead of coming back later. I ended up getting a new pair of lenses for a pair of glasses I only wear for formal occasions as well. She is a great saleswoman and is courteous and goes to extremes to make the customer happy. Michelle gets the highest rating there is! She is a tremendous asset for the LensCrafters. I later stopped in the store and had a pair of lenses put in my frames when Michelle was off and had to return later when Michelle was in to have the tint changed on the lenses. I will make sure she is there in the future whenever I need new glasses or anything done to my current ones. read more

Ok, been doing business with Lens Crafters for many years...after purchasing a really good pair of frames 3-years ago I decided the frames were in excellent shape and only needed new lens. Was told they now won't put lens in frames they no longer carry in stock...so after looking at their new frames and finding almost the exact frames but with a little color variation and one stock number change they still insisted I buy a new frame or will not do business with me...long story short Costco who sells the same HD lens with all the coatings put new lens in for half the price...no more LensCrafters for me!!! read more

I have bought dozens of pairs of glasses from Lens Crafters in East Hanover NJ. Just bought 4 pair at the Gardens Mall. Sales part was excellent... HOWEVER.... when I went to pick up the glasses the experience was (to put it it mildly) dreadful. I tried on pair number one and she looked at them and said "they look good". I said they looked crooked, and when I placed them on the counter it was obvious they were. The same was true with the next three pair and I expected her to adjust them. However, she said she didn't do that and that I would have to wait approximately 20 minutes for someone who was qualified to do that. So that begets the question: why would they have someone doing the job of checking the fitting who is not qualified to adjust the frames? Unlike the Lens Crafters I go to in N.J. the woman never asked me if I could actually see well in the new glasses or had me attempt to read anything.... and I left completely upset and angry. If I could leave zero stars I would. The manager at this store is RUDE AS HELL and should be fired immediately. She gives lenscrafters a bad reputation. I walked into the store this morning, on Mother's Day, to pick up glasses that I had ordered two weeks ago, and no one was at the front desk. The door was UNLOCKED and the front desk was UNATTENDED. I said hello several times and no one responded. Finally, after about 5 minutes, the manager emerged from the back and said "we're not open yet so you need to leave" and OMG her tone was so rude. I was taken aback. As my son and I walked to the door, I asked for her name and she refused to give it to me. I asked her for the corporate number and she said "I don't know, look it up" and then said "you need to get out of my store." This was around 11:15. Apparently, the store didn't open until 12:00pm. Why was the door UNLOCKED and the store UNATTENDED if the store didn't open until 12? Because, she messed up and left the door open. Some manager she is! By the time the store finally opened at 12, I had decided that I should not have to pay for horrible customer service so, instead of picking up my glasses, I requested a refund. Give me back my $690 and keep your glasses. I'll take my money elsewhere. A different associate named Christopher helped me with my refund because I refused to be waited on by her. He told me that the rude lady was named Kris and that she was a manager. I don't know if that's her real name or not, but Kris, please find another job because you are miserable in this one. I have shopped at lenscrafters for my and my children's glasses for several years. My children, now adults, have continued to shop at lenscrafters. Effective today, I will never shop at lenscrafters again because of Kris. I will also note that I was never notified when my glasses were ready. After not hearing from them for two weeks, I called to check on my order and was told my glasses were ready A WEEK AGO. I was told they text me but I never received a text. Yelp should have a no star option. I only gave them a 1 star because that's the only option. My wife went to get her exam but was meet with a very angry Mark Plumb. Probably not even a doctor. He yelled at my wife because her last prescription was for 2 years so he accused her of fraud. When my wife explained to him that BY LAW, contact prescriptions can be for 2 years in the state of Florida and that's what the previous doctor gave her he yelled at her and told her that she didn't know what she was talking about and that he was the doctor and he knew better than she did. After yelling at her and telling her that it is one year by law, she went to the front and mentioned her encounter and they just brushed it off and said that the doctor is a bit hyper. I called the doctors office for a refund and the lady on the phone promised me a refund on the services but not a refund on the Contacts that my wife took home. I was OK with that. I gave them three days to refund me the money and after a week I called back and they said that they were not going to refund the money but that the Dr. was willing to give her the prescription for the two years that she had originally asked for. Too late! I'll let American Express and the Florida health department handle that I can't imagine that the doctor would've spoken to me in such manner because I'm 6 foot 2 , 200 pounds. Maybe he just likes to take a vantage of petite women and treat them like shit because he thinks he can get away with it. I don't play that game. For all of you who get contacts and are FORCED by these clown wanna be doctors that you HAVE to visit doctor every year for your prescription, don't be fooled, Florida law states that doctors can prescribe for up to 2 years contacts and 5 years glasses. These doctors want to make more money (which is OK) but when a patient refuses they should be ok with it not start yelling at you. read more

Terrible customer service. No one cares and they always insist they don't make any mistakes. Said the glasses would be ready in 3/5 days, 7+ days still waiting on the glasses. Called to check to see if they came in... was put on hold for over 8 min the first time and thought she was never coming back. Called back again and got the same girl and she said oh you were gone when I came back but then she put me on hold again ... which if you already checked I don't know why you needed to put me on hold again..... and then a different girl comes on the phone and still no glasses. Worst Customer Service. Not once but twice by the manager. She is a passive-aggressive person. No matter how many times I said I could not see out of my right eye, she insisted that it was not the glasses because the script was correct. Gave me two options that were not going to solve the fact that I could not see out of that right eye with the glasses. She asked what do you need them for? She still insisted that those are the options. These options were not right for me and what can we do. Still insisted that was it. The first time I came to see her and have them switched to progressive I was within my warranty. I got them back and noticed as soon as I tried them on again that something was wrong. She said use them for a bit and give them time to adjust. So I did . I went over to see the optometrists. Dr. Plum and his staff are wonderful and try to help as much as they can. As I'm waiting the manager comes over to explain why my warranty will no longer apply. Great so I waited to adjust to the glasses and now need to spend a hell of a lot more money to correct this problem again. Dr. Plum return after reviewing my chart and showed me if the glasses were in a certain position I may be able to see better. Ok great so he walks over to the manager and here she goes again with her passive-aggressive behavior except this time she physically acts out our conversation. All he asked was can we adjust the frames to help her see out of her right eye. She did say that it could not be done with those frames (ray-band frames) but that's all she should of said. Poor Dr. Plum he walks over and asked with a smile if I heard what she said. I smiled back and said yes then I laughed and thanked him for his time. She needs to go back to Lens Crafters Customer Service School. Even if that exists!!! Worst experience!!! Had eye exam 11 days ago and ordered my glasses the same day. Today I decided to call to follow up on my glasses because my old ones broke. On my first call, the person who answer the phone told me they would be in the store in the afternoon or tomorrow and that I could call back at 5:00 pm to see if they were in. I called back at 5:00 and the girl who answered the phone said she was going to check and she would return my call. 1/2 hour later a man called me saying they didn't have the frame I had chosen and if I wanted them in black. 11 days later they realize they don't have my frame!!!! I told them I wanted my money back so I headed to the store. A girl who is the assistant manager said she was going to credit my card. I asked her how in the world they didn't let me know before. Why did it take so long? She started giving me stupid excuses and by the way she was helping me giving me my money back. she said she was only an employee and that was her help. Unbelievable!!! I went to Lenscrafter for my first eye exam and wanted to try contacts. After my exam the doctor put in a pair of daily contacts which felt scratchy. After a week of scratchy lens and not being able to focus well for far distance I made a another appointment. I was told that I must not be able to wear contacts. He never tried a different strength or different brand. He told me to give it more time. After two months of frustration I broke down and made an appointment at Costco to try again. Mind you I paid more at Lenscrafter. I worked with the doctor and after trying three different lenses I have found the perfect pair. She never told me I had to settle and encourage me to come back if it didn't feel right. I tried three brands and different strengths. Save your money and give Costco a go. read more

I normally do not write reviews but my experience with LensCrafters in the Gardens Mall deserves one. After having a horrible experience last year at another eyeglass "chain" i.e, three different prescriptions, three pairs of lenses and they still were not right. So, I made an appointment with Dr. Mark Plumb at the LensCrafters location in the Gardens mall. I was very hesitant on having my eye exam at LensCrafters but learned that the doctors are independent from them. When I arrived for my appointment, I was greeted promptly and filled out the paperwork. I have vision insurance but they do not accept Davis Vision. They were nice enough to ask me what health insurance I carry and told the Horizon Blue Cross of New Jersey. I was then informed that with that I get a 40 or 50 dollar discount! I would have never asked but that was the first plus! I went in to see Dr. Plumb and told him of my horrible previous exams I have had last year. He then said, I am going to take extra time and care to get this right. After the exam I received my new and very different prescription previously and proceeded to the store to get new frames and lenses. Again, I was greeted promptly and after a little fashion show with the frames I had picked out, we both decided that the Matte Black Ray Bans were for me.The sales woman started the lens and fitting process. Everything went smooth, got 40% off lenses with frame purchase as well. I picked up my new glasses the next day and was greeted and helped by another associate (didn't get her name) that was very patient and fitted me perfectly. I walked out with the new glasses on and something didn't seem right on my distance vision. I thought I'd give it a day but still not right. I called Dr. Plumbs office and got another appointment to see what's going on. Upon my return, the receptionist took me over to the store to check my prescription. Once the woman (the same person who fitted me) looked at them she noticed that the left lens had "Prism" and was causing this problem of double vision I was experiencing. She then went to Dr. Plumb and told him that it is lens defect and he took me back and re-examined me just in case. Same prescription. I left my glasses for them to re-make the lenses and picked them up today. Wow! I can see perfectly and all is great! In short, I had the best experience from start to finish, despite the hiccup with the defective lens. Everyone made it right for me and that's all that counts!
