I have gotten my yearly eye exam at this location for a little over 5 years and I have absolutely loved the experience. After a few years, I decided to bring my teenage son along for his yearly visits and we couldn't be happier. The staff members have always been so helpful, kind and patient with us and we absolutely love Dr. Nodland. He is the only optometrist we've seen at this location and to be honest, he is the reason why I continue to come back year after year! The optical has great prices on their frames and usually runs deals. You're able to use your target red card and save an extra 5% on your purchase, which never hurts! read more

I had tried a very overly priced store in Wellington who helped me look for frames then took their time when I came to pick up! I do not recommend purchasing RX glasses from here! Dr. Noland is great, but the customer service is horrible. They gave me a wrong RX. When I went to try them on, I told them the RX is blurry and they told me to "Give it a few days" mind you, this was not a new RX. I told them this wasn't normal. They finally checked the RX on my glasses and realized it was a completely the wrong RX. I now had to wait for another two weeks because they had to send them back. Mistakes happen, I get that, however I asked to put a rush on the order and was basically shrugged off. I took the Target survey and was contacted to say "We are sorry". 2 weeks later I finally got my glasses. It's a pretty big deal to let someone leave the store with blurred vision to be told it's correct to feel that way. There are way better optical places to choose from. After hearing absurd prices at insurance "in-network" small stores I was pleased when I found that Target Optical was also an in-network provider. That was short lived. Virtually nothing but the absolute cheapest frames on the wall and the cheapest lens (plastic, no anti-glare, no UV) was included. The woman helping me virtually shamed me for asking for a quote on them ("I've, like, seriously, never even sold anything like that! - huff"). Adding anti-glare ($60) plus a mysterious $75 charge called "in-store services" that the woman helping me could not explain, Target quoted a price of $255, which would cost me $60 after the in-network insurance benefits. I priced the exact same frames (using the product ID numbers) and comparable lenses on-line for a total including shipping of $78 ($187 less that Target) from an out-of-network provider. Even using the reduced benefit, my insurance would have covered 100%. To Target's credit, they let me cancel the purchase the next day with no hassle. While I was waiting, I listened to price quotes and thought "how do they do this with a straight face?" In the end, using an on-line out-of-network provider (ezcontacts), I was able to get all the upgrades (no glare, polycarbonate, UV-protection) for reasonable prices [no shame :-D ] for about the same $60 copay. I have a lot of respect for the Target brand - this experience definitely tarnished it! read more

Be careful with this optic, it is unsafe and neglect, After use glasses for 25 years I went for contact lenses finally, I was so excited, and I have the worst experience ever, I was attending for Dr. Britney Caruso in Royal Palm Beach and lake Worth location. I got a wrong prescription that made me feel so sick, and When I made the claim I didn't get a change or refund, I lost my money and my time. Dr. Nodland is the best! The manager Jens and associate Matt are also wonderful. Jens was not there the last time I was in. Matt took care of me and was very professional and kind. I cannot say the same for his associates who were rude to their own teammate in front of me. Disappointing to watch a team try to humiliate their own in front of customers! I'll make sure my family and I only visit when Jens is there. So sad that the associate, Matt, had to endure that. read more

If you are ever in need of an eye exam or having a problem with your eyes. Anything related to the eyes, you must make an appointment to see Dr. Michael Nodland, O.D. He is by far the best Optometrists that I have seen. For starters he and the entire staff are very attentive to your vision concerns, kind and are always professional. They are close work and have convenient hours. He is always punctual and takes the time to address any of your concerns. Instead of having my eyes dilated I would always opt to have the exam that takes a picture behind your eyes. This exam discovers any potential problems that may not be seen but will surface behind the eyes. This is well worth the $20 bucks. Natalie has always been extremely helpful with suggestions on contact lens options and frame selections. Dr. Nodland and Natalie have both made my experience for the past 10 years memorable. They really understand the importance of providing quality customer service. I have and will continue to refer anyone in need of vision assistance to Target Optical. Don't forget to ask Dr. Michael Nodland you won't be disappointed.. read more

I placed an order online for contacts 4/12/21, a month went bye without any information sent out, I emailed them 5 separate times and still nothing, I canceled the order and went to the actual store and ordered there, the canceled order was refunded but 6/8/21 I was recharged for the same order. read more

I booked an appointment on Monday for Friday. I show up on Friday at 10am for my appointment and they have no record of my appointment. The gentleman checking me in, Scott Forman, was completely unsympathetic, unprofessional and very rude. He told me, "Well she must not have hit save". How is that my fault? This is your mistake. They did offer to get me in later that afternoon, but I had already taken the morning off of work for my appointment. If you are planning on using Target Optical, I highly suggest you book at a different location. Terrible customer service!!! read more

I was on vacation and had the worst eye pain I've ever felt in my life. It felt like someone stabbing me in the eye repeatedly. After finding out a Lenscrafters was open on Sunday, we called and they said we couldn't come, and they'd turn us away if we showed up. Luckily, Target Optical told us to come right away. The office staff was so friendly, and the eye doctor saw me quickly, gave me anesthesia drops, and prescribed eye drops for my scratched cornea. My eyeball and my potential ER copayment saved! Dr. Nodland is amazing. I'm at an age where distance sight is worse and close vision is waning. For the last 7 years, another optometrist ignored my complaints and had me grabbing over-the-counter readers to check my phone, read directions on a can of soup and every other task that occurred 49 times a day. In a 20 minute (on time appt) this guy fixed everything. Perfect contact lenses and beautiful glasses as back-up. I don't need readers! I can pick-up my phone without finding glasses first! And Natalie made the whole process of insurance and payment painless. I'll never go anywhere else. read more
