I work in the medical field and was going to be 5 minutes late. They told me that if it was more than five minutes late I had to reschedule. Working in a doctor's office I know providers run behind all the time. 5 minutes is absolutely ridiculous of a grace period. I wish we could rate more stars, last week I walked into this location looking for new frames. Found a great pair of RayBan. A tortoise with blue in them. Walked over to order and pay for them. Zeke/Zeek walked over as the young lady was about to ring me out. He has noticed the lens I have may not be the best lens for my prescription. We have a quick sit down and he runs over some other lens options. Shares a an alternative to what I've been using, today I pick up the new glasses, YES in a week they were ready. As I sit to have the fitting as soon as I put them on. I state FUCKING HELL ! Immediately I Can See All The Print. No need to move my head around the page. I came here for an eye exam and to purchase glasses. The eye doctor was very knowledgeable and very friendly. The sales staff who helped me with selecting frames were friendly and professional, and I had a positive experience with them. I am also very satisfied with my new glasses. When I returned to have my glasses adjusted, the experience was disappointing. The assistant manager who helped me acted as if I was inconveniencing him. When I asked for an additional adjustment, he made a comment about my nose and said the glasses couldn't go up any further, which came across as rude and unnecessary. His tone was harsh, unfriendly, and not professional. He even questioned where I got the glasses from and whether they were new. I value good customer service, and my first visit showed that this place is capable of it. I waited to get an appointment for three weeks and the day of the appointment they call me to tell me that they can't take my insurance and I would have to pay as a private patient. Since I had been to LensCrafters before they knew what my insurance was. They wait until the day of the appointment to tell me this. This place is garbage. If I can give no stars I would. Stopped in to have lens reattached to frame of year old Lenscrafter glasses. The store was totally empty of customers; I asked the only employee for assistance and was told that their technician took the afternoon off and she was unable and unqualified to help me. I had all the parts including the small screw; employee would not help me. I left her alone, went across the street to Visionworks where my glasses were repaired in 5 minutes by affable competent staff in a busy store. I was hesitant to try any mall opticals because past experiences haven't been great but this turned into the best experience! The staff was very friendly and my experience with the optician was great. Getting my glasses was easy and affordable, especially because Linda Faulkner (hopefully I got her name right) is so knowledgeable about insurance and great at helping you get the best deal with your insurance! I'm so grateful to her for all her advice and her assistance! My husband and I both got great glasses with top of the line features, progressive, transitions, etc and our out of pocket was $600 together. A couple of years ago I spent that just for mine at a place in Fishkill that barely gave me the time of day. Linda spent a lot of time with us and gave us a lot of information and all while taking care of other customers! She's amazing and the entire staff was very sweet! We have been coming to this location for the past few years and it has never been great , but the doctor has always been great. However the staff is beyond words. The store is a mess. When ordering sons glasses I asked if it was his new prescription and the stated yes of course. Went to today to get them. It was a prescription from 2017. When I told the women helping me she began to almost argue with me. Thankfully I had a copy of the prescription with me. She was unable to offer a rush on the glasses and I had to sit with her to make sure she ordered the 2019 prescription. This place is a mess both physically and mentally. Do yourself a favor and go down to the first floor and find Pearl Vision. read more

And, Dr. Franklin Inouye, O.D.who explained my eye problems in layman's terms and was beyond kind and professional, reassuring me about my cataracts, etc. Did not feel rushed. I have been buying glasses at this store for three years and they must have a new manager because I had an absolutely a terrible experience trying to buy a pair of sunglasses today. It was my first time in this location. The doctor was wonderful, and staff was great. I had a great experience with the manager, he was knowledgeable of all the different styles of lenses. My husband and I were there today for over 3 and eventually walked out without glasses. I don't know which to blame, the computer system or the staff? But the impact both had on our transactions was far too negative for us to spend our hard earned money in that establishment. Did I mention how the price kept changing and eventually the straw that broke the camels back was they tell me I'm NOT insured only my husband. That was the end for us. Cancelled the entire sale. I am covered under the insurance. They kept telling me it wasn't their fault it is the insurance companies fault. VERY BAD. Ruined 3 hours of my day! The eye Doctor was wonderful! LensCrafters at one time was not too bad, but recently I found them to be less than helpful. I remember when they had experienced people that would take the time to help you with frames that fit your face and looked good, but nowadays you're pretty much on your own. You will generally be greeted quickly, but that's where the assistance ends. read more

I had an appointment for 10 AM on a Friday, and had taken the day off from work. I got to the store just before 10, and tje woman working there said none of the doctors were in yet. I asked if I should go get a coffee and come back, she said that's fine. I then got back to the store about 15 minutes later. She let me know the doctors are in. I went to the doctors counter and the woman told me I was late and she was booked and would not see me. I tried yelling her what happened, but she cut me off and said she was there at 9:50. No she was not. And she then said I would have to come back the next day, and here are the forms we need filled out. Since I was pissed off but not in a mood to explode that morning, I opted to leave and go somewhere else. Pearle Vision took me right in and was terrific. My mother was planning on going to Lens Crafters, but not now. Service is horrible. Tell a person to leave, come back, and then say they're late and too bad? I posted this on their Facebook page and got a canned response from someone named 'Butch'. I wonder if he works with Cassidy? At least use a serious name. read more
