I used to love this practice, but the personnel changes have made it an entirely different experience. Billing is never right, insurance is an impossible battle, the hygienist seems to make medical decisions, and after 10 months and thousands in billings, the initial problem i came in for is still unresolved. read more

If I could give Poughkeepsie Dental a minus 0, I would. Sorry to say but the office manager is abrupt, rude, and condescending. their billing system is either antiquated or in need of repair. I was warned by a former patient of Dr. Andy about their billing processes and actions but thought i would overlook their opinion. I paid for my visit every time I went. Then they stated I had a credit. They then stated something was not charged to my account. Bottom line, their dentist did not fix a problem. The next day I got a second opinion and without hesitation he completely resolved my issue. There is no way I could recommend this office. I will also, again, be communicating with the dental company who places dentists in practices. Not sure what is happening in the dental/healthcare (which I am in) system but it's not good. If Dr. Andy Trimboli was still there, the treatment all around care would be fit for a royal family. read more

Back when Dr. Trimboli was there this place is great. You notice the older, good reviews mention Andy and Donna, who were both compassionate, skilled, quality dentists. They seem to have retired and sold the business and it's gone downhill. Now it's just like every other hole in the wall dentist. Years ago Andy Trimboli put a filling in my wisdom tooth (upper left) and did a fantastic job. He reached in a difficult area like a pro and saved my tooth. He was conservative in care and didn't do unnecessary procedures, and was willing to go above and beyond to deliver excellent care. Today the new dentist there wouldn't even see me because my problem was in a wisdom tooth (lower right, different tooth) and they can't be bothered to do wisdom teeth now. They only want to focus on what's easy and profitable. Not meeting you where you are with your needs as a patient. They're riding on the hard work and reputation of the excellent work of the Trimbolis, but don't expect that level of care anymore. I was willing to go to a place my insurance didn't cover and go out of pocket for excellent care. Now that the care is no longer excellent, I have no reason to come here again. They're just another overcharging dentist that doesn't actually give you the personalized care you need. While I was sitting in the waiting room, I saw another patient arguing with the receptionist for half an hour over incorrect billing. Just red flags all around. The "vibe" in the waiting room also felt completely different. The old place had a lot more upselling on cosmetic dentistry (which idk how to feel about, it was probably how they stayed profitable without scamming people though, I never went for any of that stuff) and all that was gone. It felt less luxury and more depressing in there in general. I swear dentists are as bad as car mechanics, when you find a good one they're a treasure. I'm sorry that the Trimbolis didn't vet their replacement as someone who would carry on their skill and ethos. read more

Ater searching for a dentist I came here after reading several positive reviews. I only with that I could leave negative stars. The office staff are wonderful. The dentist Daniel Davidoff has the bedside manner of a rock. No hello, No introduction & he was of absolutely no help. He did NOTHING to even attempt to repair my crown. He did NOTHING to alleviate my discomfort. The hygienist even advocated for me SEVERAL TIMES by suggesting 4 different ways to treat my problem and he shot down EVERY SINGLE IDEA. He even advised me to go back to my prior dentist after I disclosed the terrible experience that I had with her. I do not leave reviews often but dental work is very expensive & very few places provide quality work these days, so I felt it necessary to share this experience!! His unfriendly demeanor made the entire visit one of the most uncomfortable experiences that I've ever had. My daughters filling was never properly filled. It fell out right away and continued hurting. She did not have a good experience here and Will not go back to have this tooth filled a third time. It hurt continuously after they worked on it until we went to a different dentist and the same tooth was filled properly . I called Poughkeepsie dental to see about refunding at least partially for this poorly filled tooth and they were not helpful and did not stand behind there work. I had to pay twice for the same tooth. Don't go here. We do not recommend them! read more

They are all so nice in here!!! They took such good care of me from the time I walked in until I walked out. I went in for a consult because I have a terrible smile. I went through chemo and I've had some teeth pulled in the back. I wasn't sure if i would need veneers or implants. I was greeted by a lovely woman named Dawn ( I think) she was So nice! I was looking for a new dentist since my regular one, Dr. Willoughby retired. The Hudson Valley Magazine rated Trimboli Dentistry was one of the top in this area, so I tried them out. My filling had chipped and they were able to accommodate me that day. Extremely nice receptionists!!!! I felt very welcomed. Dr. Donna Trimboli and her Assistant Barbara were the best dental team I have ever had!!!! I recommend this location and Dr Donna Trimboli! read more

Dr. Donna and Dr. Andy are absolutely fantastic. They have looked after my smile from a young age and advised me honestly not to get certain teeth pulled which would have reduced my time in braces but adversely would make my mouth look smaller. Boy am I happy that I listened! Was not easy as a young girl to accept longer time in braces but now that I am an adult, I am so thankful. Love their professionalism and honesty! read more
