I purchased my glasses on 12/31/2025 at the Arden Fair Mall in Sacramento and was told that they would be done in 10 days. I called in 10 days and was told that they would now be ready on 1/19/2026 because there was a problem and they needed to be re-made. I called on 1/19/2026 and was told they would be ready on 1/25/2026. I called on 1/26/2026 and was told they should be completed by 2/2/2026 and that it was following the normal process. I went and ordered a pair of glasses and picked frames and told them what I wanted and they said ok to everything thing I wanted two tone tint , transition lenses and was told ok no problem, then I go pick them up and they weren't transition and not two tone tint and basically just prescription sunglasses and was told oh well we couldn't do transition and the gradient tint well why wasn't I told about this when I was there telling them everything I wanted , will never go back they are a joke!!! read more

On October 9, 2025, I tried on frames, didn't like them, and put them back on the shelf. I left the store, went across the way to shop and when I came out, I was stopped by the sales person from LensCrafters who asked me to return to the store to show her where I had placed the frames. Though she said she wasn't accusing me of anything, it felt like I was being accused of shoplifting. I went back in the store, found the spot where I'd left the frames. I picked out a pair that I thought I liked, and when I came to pick it up I was saddened by the appearance, lens thickness (I have a high prescription), etc. I was grateful that LensCrafters have a 30-day happiness guarantee and that Michelle was the one that helped me. She took it upon herself to sift through frames, brought out a over a dozen frames for me to pick from, explained to me how high index would pair with those frames. She truly listened and addressed my concerns, and so I left with two frame purchases (deal was 50% off a second pair and 40% off all lenses) because I found two that I loved thanks to her help. Great experience at LensCrafters. I had an eye exam and got my glasses here after browsing online forever. The lady that helped me choose frames as so sweet and helpful finding frames that fit my requests- colored frames or tortoise shell, wide/possible men's frames, and fit my budget. She found three pairs that worked and were all girlie (which I loved!) and it was enjoyable way to get glasses that I wear everyday. I feel like she really was there to help me feel good about my glasses and since I do wear them everyday, I wont forget the good experience I had here. The DR was also nice and told me to look into getting Lasik which I appreciated her comments on, because I really want to get it since my eyesight is so bad. You can book online here and browse online as well- but nothing beats trying them on in person. I also have been by to get my frames adjusted and get a copy of my exam so I could buy contacts. Eye exams are thorough but they've gotten my lenses wrong twice now for some very expensive progressive glasses I ordered from them ($1200). Their prices are so high compared to other places. Ended up returning. Cheap pair I bought online from a budget store (for under $200 including frames and lenses) was fine. I came in one afternoon because my old glasses had broke. I still had insurance so I came in for a replacement. I was helped by Ryan he was super helpful and attentive to my need. I've been to plenty of other lends crafters in the greater sacramento area but the customer service provides here was better than all. He was able to lookup my account and help me with my replacement. It took a few days for arrive. I went to pick them up and he helped me out again. Although it was harder than I expected to find it was great. I entered and was promptly greeted although it was a lottt of folks working but everyone didn't immediately help. The highlight of the visit was the optometrist Dr. Do and the young lady that assisted me Bethenny. They were personable and very knowledgeable. My fiancé had an eye appointment today and I tagged along because I needed a second pair for myself. I'm from the Bay Area and have my eye Dr out there but recently moved here. So I found my glasses and Laura helped me. God she was the rudest person in the whole room. She wasn't helpful or friendly. I had questions and she had a terrible attitude. She needs customer service training. When my fiancé was getting his glasses the lady that helped him was super friendly and gave him a cost breakdown. She offered him optional insurance for a fee but Laura didn't mention that to me and charged me for it. Then I asked Laura about the lenses because my fiancé had picked out a different kind and I wanted to change mine. When I asked her she was rude as heck and said "I offered them to you already" like okkkk you didn't even explain what the difference was between lenses!? Laura hates her job and it shows. I walked into the Natomas location (3635 North Freeway Boulevard, Space #120-A Sacramento, CA) on Memorial Day 5/27/24. As I walked into the store, I noticed that it was very ebeautiful, spacious and modern. I needed to repair my glasses because the frames had bent somewhat and the arm of the frame was hurting my ear lobe. Robert was working by himself. He warned me about the risk of straightening the frame and that I could not hold him liable in case it broke in the process. He immediately took care of the bent arm and then proceeded to straighten the whole frame. He was able to fix the issue in a matter of seconds. Then he cleaned the glasses and even gave me a hard case with a cleaning cloth to protect them. Robert was friendly and professional. He solved my issue right away. What a disaster. Customer service is an unknown term at this store. Basically, I go in and the person at the counter instead of talking to me picks up the phone. Okay, phone call ends, and rather than attend to a real live customer in front of them picks up another call. I asked another person in the store is it easier to be attended if I called in? Well a bag of hammers would have been brighter than this individual as they said "we are very busy" not understanding the nature of the derisive comment. Terrific, tell your customer you are really busy and that is the reason you would rather pick up the phone than attend to someone standing in front of you with money in their pocket. I have purchased at least six (6) pairs of glasses at Lenscrafters but stopped doing biz at this store due to an unsafe mall and in the past poor service. What was I thinking? Also, I keep getting emails with "deals" and discounts but what value is if you have employees busy chatting among themselves or answering phone calls when you go buy something. I have run a lot of large enterprises. If I was District Manager I would be looking for a store manager replacement and send the remaining employees to a "Disney" type seminar on customer service. My first time getting glasses was such a great experience thanks to Sylvia and Toni! Sylvia went the extra mile to find a pair of frames that fit my face as well as my busy lifestyle! And she even reshaped the sides of my frames and walked outside the mall with me to make sure I was comfortable wearing my new lenses! Toni came out from the lab and took personal time to explain how my lenses are made and specifications to my prescription. I bought a new pair of Burberry frames a few weeks ago. I complained to the manager in person because the sales associate at the front desk was rude to me. I felt she spoke to me harshly because I am Black, and this is what I told the manager who agreed to speak to the employee whose name was Carla I believe. The manager was reasonable professional, and I returned to browsing, made my selection, and then purchased the frames. I came in about a month later, and the manager recognized me, but was not intelligent enough to be friendly and outgoing. Instead it was obvious that she sided with Carla during their conversation about my complaint because today when I came in to pick up my glasses, the manager was rude to me, aloof, and inconsistent. She even asked me where I had bought the frames, even though she sold them to me. She did this to kind of insinuate that I was not important and that she did not appreciate my complaint about her employee. The manager is the 3rd party between the customer and the employee, which means all she had to do was tell Carla she was not in any trouble, and also continue to be polite to me. This will be a hard lesson to the Manager who actually comes of professional and friendly. The manager needs to grow up a little bit, and stop acting like a regular hourly employee, she is supposed to be a cut above everyone else on the Sales floor. It is never worth it for the Manger to be the person who is unable to deal with the public. I was not a difficult customer believe it or not, I am just quiet and conservative and I do not put up with disrespect. There is nothing wrong with this type of customer. No employees have a right to be disrespectful to customers, but the Manager of any business is paid to make sure things run smoothly and the customer feels comfortable. I contacted Lense Crafters Customer service and reported her behavior earlier this afternoon. She will be spoken to by the regional Director/Manager of the store, and that makes me feel much better. read more

I went in to Sacramento LensCrafters for an eye exam, which was performed by Dr. Searby. Very quickly, Dr. Searby noticed an issue and immediately performed several other tests not normally done for a standard exam. He discovered that a portion of my retina was detached. Per my insurance I then went to an ophthalmologist. The ophthalmologist said he didn't see anything and was prepared to just send me home. I showed him a picture I took of Dr. Searby's monitor showing the problem and only then did the ophthalmologist take a closer look and refer me to a retina specialist. I am so grateful to Dr. Searby for being such an outstanding O.D.. He may have just saved my eyesight! read more

Cameron is the worst employee I have ever encountered at lenscrafters. It was my sons first time receiving an eye exam so I didn't know the insurance information and asked Cameron to look it up under my account or my daughters since we get our glasses there. This guy spent more time arguing with me about why looking up the insurance under my account or my daughters wouldn't work than it actually took him to look it up under my account. Then he proceeded to tell me how he has seen insurances change out of nowhere. When does an insurance change in the middle of the year ever without going through an open enrollment phase? This guy just wanted to have something to say so I didn't bother telling him how insurance changes actually work. You guys need to do a better job with customer service. I almost walked out of there and if I did you would have lost business from all 4 of us in my household and I usually don't walk out of there without buying glasses, contact lenses, and eye exams. read more
