The main complaint is that we went to have eyeglasses adjusted and no one took our name down to prioritize whose next. I came here a few years ago because I was told their multifocal lenses are great quality. I got a pair of glasses that I really like so I decided to return for my next eye exam. Got a last minute appointment right away and Dr. Wong was great. I felt the staff member who did the pre-exam rushed the exam and she was not clear in her instructions making me wonder if that skewed some of my results. Dr. Wong recommended contacts and I paid somewhere around $90 for a contact lens fitting in addition to my eye exam. Dr. Wong was great in teaching me about contacts and I was excited when I left. The sales guy discussed pricing of monthly vs. daily contacts and gave me sample of some monthly lenses to try. After a few weeks of trying my lenses, I had to go back because they were horrible. I made an appointment for 10am when they open. There was another woman waiting when I got there. She was very upset and complained about how they are always running late and she now needs to take the entire day off work. People are Karens and I wanted to be patient so I blew her off and ignored her complaining. At 10:15 the doc finally showed up to work and took the upset lady at 10:30 for her 10am appointment. She said her appointment was gong to take about 40 minutes and I didn't have time to wait so I rescheduled and left. Why would you schedule 2 appointments at the same time when there is only 1 doc there? I came back for my rescheduled appointment and again, Dr. Wong was great. Turns out, the sales rep gave me sample contacts in the wrong prescription. Since I paid for the contact lens fitting, I can come back until we find the correct lenses. OK Cool. I try these new lenses that have the correct prescription and after a few weeks they also are not working. I scheduled another appointment with Dr. Wong. I got there a few minutes early and the sales rep seemed confused as to why I was there. He told me to wait in the chair and the doc would be right with me. I think he gave the doc my chart and said he thought I was there for a lens check but he didn't schedule the appointment and didn't have any other information why I was there. Ummmm, I'm sitting right here and I'm available to answer those questions??? There were a few other people milling about in the exam area and the reps took a few people in the pre-exam area. My appointment was at 3pm. At 3:15, I asked if Dr. Wong was in the office because I only saw the older male doc and the guy got a bit irritated with me and said she was with a patient and would be right with me. OK no problem. I run late with my patients sometimes so I'll be patient and wait. No big deal. Dr. Wong finished with her patient and at 3:30 she came out and took someone else who I think was there for a new eye exam., which means I would be waiting at least another 45 minutes. At that point, I walked out. I'm done with this place. Dr. Wong was great but the management of the scheduling and the customer service of the front desk people is terrible. I'm going to pay money to start this entire process again somewhere else because this place was a joke. read more

Was a little disappointed to find out that lenscrafters' definition of an hour is not based on real time. I understand if it's around one hour, say, like an hour and ten minutes, but at some point, it's considered an hour and a half, or even two hours. That's why we have certain words (half, two, three, quarter) to indicate certain lengths of time. Its the beauty of our human ability to communicate through language. After my hour wait, I kept going back after they said 5-10 more minutes, but this happened too many times that I was wondering why they just didn't tell me to come back after 30 minutes. I really didn't like their inability to give me a more accurate time frame. I mean, they're not exactly new to the industry so they can guess how long it takes to make eyeglasses with the number of technicians they have on hand, the number of customers coming in on a certain day, etc. That itself would've been a two star review, but my recent experience also brought up old memories. Back in the 90s, I took my brother's sunglasses into the store to be tightened. Well, after the "technician" tightened the screws, I brought 'em back to my brother, who then noticed tiny cracks in the lens because they had screwed it too tight. Just be sure to notice anything while you're there and not after you've taken your product home. I was too naive back then to think anything would be wrong after they "fixed" it and placed it in a case for me. read more

Scheduled my yearly LensCrafters appointment at this new location during COVID-19, and don't think I'll be returning. They're doing a great job of maintaining social distance, cleaning frames, wearing masks. However today's visit left me with $300 less in my bank account and no clear date on when I will actually receive my glasses. They did however though charge me full price on a new pair of Ralph Lauren Polo frames and then tried to slip the used ones; all the customers have been trying on in the store, into the new case. When I asked for a new pair of frames the lab technician said who knows when that will be maybe 3 to 6 months from now. Then he told me LensCrafters has been selling us customers these used frames when in stock at full price for a while now. Now that you all know this before you leave please check your glasses for dents, scratches, and color deterioration. We work so hard for our money and we expect if you charge us full price you're not trying to cut corners. Service here is a hit or miss with staff and optometrists. Depends who you get. I came here last year bought contacts and asked if I can get trials so I can wear till my order comes. The associate provided me with one. However, he apologized he can only provide one contact because he only have one in stock. (I have astigmatism and one eye has a different vision than the other) I understood and I'm glad he checked. I had my exam here before and they were able to provide trials. I had my eye exam at another LensCrafters location and they didn't have trials for contacts for me and they had to order them. I understood and I was trying to see if they have it here at this location since I picked up trials here before. So I came in and I believe the assistant manager assisted me. I came in and explained her the situation how I had my eye exam at another location and was hoping if they have trials for me while I wait for my contacts I ordered. She said they should've provided me with trials. I provided my LensCrafters documents looked at my prescription and said they didn't carry the size of my contacts, the original location have to order the trials, the location should have ordered trials for you (which they did, I was hoping I can get it now) and that I have to wait. I was like "okay". later on I noticed she was looking at my glasses prescription. I thought about how the associate last year was able to provide trials or at least check if they had the trials in stock. At the end there could have been different solutions such as check thoroughly if they had the trials in stock. Ask more probing questions to why I'm at this location. I called Lense Crafters to let them know we where stuck in traffic and running late. They have a "stricked" policy of 10 min. grace period. Ok, I understand that, people need to follow rules, time is money...but life happens and sometimes you can't get to the appointment on time. We where 15 min. late. Our appointment was scheduled at 2:40 pm, it was now 2:55 pm when we showed up. They made us wait til the next appointment(s) no shows. It was now 4:00pm and they kept repeating while in the eye exam room., if the next appointment shows up, you wont be able to see the doctor and you'll have to come back. (This was very annoying to keep hearing)..What where they doing during the time til that next appointment showed up? They could have did the eye exam and we could have talked to the optometrist within that time period. The total time took the most of 20 min. for both. 5 HOURS LATER we finally got our glasses. I'm just saying...making someone that ended up paying over $600 for two pair of glasses does not make good business sense because your trying to punish someone for not making the appointment on time? At the end, the glasses where great, my daughter was happy. I need two more pair of glasses for myself but because of the wait, I'm going to another optometrist. So in the end, they lost out on another $600-$800 from me. Maybe implement a little less stricked rules and be more compassionate. Your staff is so uptight about the rules that it gives out a bad vibe. read more

Joseph was very professional, pleasant and overall a great guy to interact with. I had a very specific pair of glasses that I had found at another LensCrafters that I really liked. At first glance it appeared this store didn't have the pair in stock. Joseph looked high and low throughout the store for them. It looked like I was going to have to settle with another pair when Joseph came running back to me and had found a new pair of the ones I desired sitting on the front desk. Just like the ones at the other store, they fit fine, had great style and were A+. He sat down with me and explained in detail the difference in options and answered any questions I had. We even started talking about PS4 games. They however weren't able to do the one hr lab due to computer problems the day before. It wasn't a big deal. I've worked retail many many years and know you can't control it sometimes. This put them a day behind but it was no big issue. The other store (I got an exam while my car was getting worked on) was inside a Macy's so they had no lab and it was going to be 3-5 business days. Today (7-23-17) about 2:30 I got a call that they were ready. Michelle, after she was done with her prior customer helped me with last minute adjustments. She as well was very professional and seemed to really care about any needs. I will definitely go back for any repairs/adjustments. This seems to be a great store with great staff. read more

Here goes my first bad review. I called to schedule an appointment to check my eye that's causing pain. I came and I was told I have to also get an eye exam and pay out of pocket because they can't get an authorization from my insurance. Ultimately walked off pissed off and told them they wasted my time! Horrible experience. Staff kept repeating "I understand, but unfortunately". Told them they wouldn't gain me as a customer after this HORRIBLE customer service experience and mistake on their part. I came here after my daughters glasses broke. My vision insurance for her is through Kaiser so I already knew I wouldn't get her glasses for about a month. I came to LensCrafters because I knew my daughter would get her glasses the same day. I had my daughters eye Rx in hand and about 2 hours later she had new glasses. The staff was very nice we were actually helped right away after picking out the frames she gets sized up and just hung around the mall until they called. I get the call they my daughter's glasses are ready and we where in and out in less than 10 mins. My daughter and I are very happy with the service and if I ever needed glasses immediately again this will be my stop. read more

I would give this LensCrafter a zero if I could. The customer service is horrible and associates gives you the run around. I came into the location with no intention of purchasing, just to browse. My significant other suggested that it would be a good investment to purchase a pair of prescription frames so I made the decision to buy form Lenscrafter since they offer a wide selection of frames. I was interested in the Tiffany and Co. brand and since Lenscrafter did not carry much an associate informed me that I may go over to Sunglasshut (their sister store) and get the model number there may be a possibility of Lenscrafter being able to order it for me. I was able to obtain the model number and it turned out Lenscrafter carried it in their Distribution Center which is closed on the weekend. Throughout the rest of the week, I called Lenscrafter multiple times with the promise of different associates stating that they will return my call but, failed. I was finally able to talk to an associate who stated that there was 2 avaialble and she needed to know the color I was interested. I informed her of the color and since there was only 2, the one i wanted was sold out. She was unable to order my sunglasses. Solution: I had to go to Sunglasshut and purchase my frame there but.... Problem: Lenscrafter damaged my frames during the lens fitting. All in all, it took over 40 days for them to order me a new pair. Everytime I call in to get an update, an associate will take my number and inform me they will call me back but, fail to do so. I brought my bad experience up to the manager's attention and she would not take any responsibility for her associates mistakes. She raised her voice at me and argued with me about the service. It was very uncomfortable and unprofessional of her. She even argued with me about the warranty which should be active when I receive the new pair of frames. I will most definitely not be returning. All the other yelps about this Lenscrafter's service is correct. Beware... spend your money elsewhere. read more

Was here for an eye exam Sunday. Appt was for 12 noon and I got there about 1155. I was greeted and they gave me some paper work to fill out. Waited for a while. I think there was only one eye doctor that day. I didn't get seen until 1235. I believe the doctor's name was Dr. Klink. Older gentleman, but very nice. He took good care of me. He didn't rush and like made sure he was writing the right prescription for me. Thank goodness for their Lenscrafter credit card. My insurance only covered my eye exam and fitting but not my contacts. Only because I got Glasses earlier this year. Got myself a year supply of contacts. Each box was almost $50 because I have astigmatism. You automatically get a 15% discount off your contacts if you order 1 year supply. That's nice. Normally I have no problems with this LensCrafters location, but I'm sad to say that I'll probably won't return. I initially had my appointment with them to get my prescription but was told to find a specialist since they couldn't figure out exactly what my vision was. I find a specialist he diagnoses that I have kerataconus and gives me an eye glass prescription. I go back to LensCrafters, since they have the style of glasses I wanted. So no problem I give them my prescription and they tell me the whole give us a hour or so to get these done. I return picked my glasses up get home and notice there's a huge defect in the right lens. The next day I took them back they said no problem we'll fix it no charge. I spend another hour and a half waiting and when I pick them up there's a defect in both lenses. They tried to act like they didn't see it so I literally had to stand up lean over the desk and point at the problem. The lab technician now was uncomfortable since I was pretty annoyed and it was now going to be my THIRD time to wait for my glasses that I should've had from day one. Finally after a whole day of waiting I picked them up and they finally made sure there weren't any scratches, blurry spots, defects, etc. Horrible experience that I don't feel like dealing with again. Another thing that was annoying was the fact that they don't acknowledge you unless you approach them. So ridiculous! read more

NOT HAPPY! I went back for a contact lense appointment. The lady on the phone told me it would be $55 for the appointment, due to my insurance. I show up to my appointment after being in heavy parking lot traffic for 15 minutes, then wait another 20 minutes to be seen only to be told I'd have to pay $55 PLUS $120 something for the exam! If I hadn't gotten false information over the phone, I would have never wasted my time and gas going there! If it was only for experience, I'd give one star, but they get 2 now to even out the 4 stars I gave originally. They should really get information correct before wasting people's time. read more

Another WOT! I showed up early to fill in the form and ahead of my 12PM appointment but sadly it is one of those places that has a different interpretation what on time appointments really meant. I waited more than 30 minutes but finally gave up. There was one gentleman who was nice enough to notice me and attempted to follow up with the reception desk. The rest of the staff were busy. This seems to be a pre-dominant experience for me. The last time I had a similar bad experience was with Site For Sore Eyes in Loehmann's Plaza Fair Oaks Blvd. No one actually bothered to help but they did wait on other people that just walked in. Maybe I am just invisible? While I like the selection of frames and the general location, I think from now on I will buy my frames online and take it to Costco and Kaiser Permanente. At least I get seen on time with these guys. If you have plenty of time maybe you'll have a better experience if you wait long enough. Sadly for me I cannot recover my wasted time and that vexes me more than anything. Verdict? Never again! read more

Its very hard to be displeased, and very easy to be pleased, when a business provides you great service and you haven't spent a cent. That's exactly what happened to us at this LensCrafters. One of our boy's glasses lost a screw and the arm came off. We went to this location and asked if we could pay to have a screw inserted and the arm re-attached. They said they do that with no charge, but they also said it with a positive and pleasant attitude. I can picture some places that would have made that statement with an air of resignation. To make things even better, though they said "fill out this form and come back in about an hour" (which I do admit I thought "it takes an hour to insert one little screw?? Well it's free so...") we had walked maybe 4 storefronts away when my phone rang "your glasses are ready". This was top notch service. I walked in with no appointment. Patrick greeted me instantly and got me an exam within 30 minutes. He was super helpful with my frame selection and extremity patient with how undecisive I am. He explained all the lens options and made great suggestions especially since I'm in front of a computer all day. He genuinely cared about my eyes. The doctor that gave my exam was awesome too. Rudy, Dr Klink, Allison and Nez were all wonderful to work with! Rudy did my pre eye exam. He was polite and efficient. Then Dr Klink did my eye exam. He was great. Allison helped me with choosing frames. Allison adjusted a pair of frames that I liked and made them fit my face. Allison is amazing at what she does. Then Nez helped me with the rest of my glasses and rung me up. She was also polite and very nice to work with. I was cautious coming in here today because of the reviews but I'm glad I did. I was able to get my glasses the same day. That was the main reason why I came in. They fit great and are super clear. I got the transitional anti glare lenses that are easier to clean. I am usually a very patient and forgiving person, but this business changed that for me, I am now exhausted and finished with them. It took me 3 months to get my final prescription. I came in in July for an eye exam for contact lenses. This was my first time getting contact lenses, so I wasn't sure how long the process would take to get them. This was also why I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I set up an eye exam online and came in at the scheduled time. Coming in from shopping at the mall made me feel relaxed on a Saturday afternoon. One of the Eye Exam representatives greeted me and sat my partner and I and it was all fine and dandy. She said she would make sure she would take care of me. I trusted her word. Anyway, after the exam, the optometrist told me she would order trial period contacts that would take about a week to come in. I was told they would call once they come in and set up a followup appointment from there. So, what gets me disappointed is a week passes by and no call from them. My partner calls and they tell her the contacts aren't in yet. I gave them the benefit of the doubt because I came in on a weekend, so maybe they would come in a few days later instead? I was wrong. Two weeks pass by. Two weeks turned into a month. All the while, my partner and I are calling for updates, she more upset than I. Why didn't we get a courtesy call to let us know it would take more than a week to come in? Anyway, the trial contacts come in in August and I set up a follow up appointment for the fitting and took another eye exam. I needed a stronger prescription for one eye and had to order another trial pair for that. That too took a whole month to come in. September comes around. My partner is fuming and I am just exhausted and want this over with. I did not even want the contacts anymore, but I spent all this time and money, might as well finish it. So, I set up another appointment to come in to do the fitting and eye exam with the stronger pair. The stronger prescription wasn't working out and so the optometrist ordered another trial pair with the weaker prescription I had in August. I could not tell the difference of the two. The time span between the two prescriptions were to to far to tell apart. Ordered another pair. Comes in a month later. October is here and I'm still not done? I'm exhausted. Came in to try the trial contacts with the weaker prescription. Took another eye exam. Since neither of the two prescriptions were able to give me better sight on one eye, he told me that that was the best possible prescription. I was fine with that. He offered free eye solution and finally gave me my prescription. This was this past weekend when it all finished. To make this situation better? 1. Notify the customer when the contacts will take longer than the promised date. 2. Fix the communication between your supplier and Lenscrafters. I mean a month apart for each trial pair? I will not be coming back. read more

I never thought I could have so much fun at an optometry appointment! I came in today to get a second pair of glasses and a new contact prescription for Mexico! I was able to book my appointment only yesterday for today which was awesome. Alex helped me for my initial overview and eye sight testing. We had a great time chatting and keeping things entertaining; for anyone who's been to an optometrist it can be quite dull. He was knowledgable and personable. After Alex, Dr. Valentine proceeded to further test my sight and offer recommendations. Her and I talked, laughed and traded stories while we went through lenses to see if my vision had changed. Thankfully it's still pretty much the same, but she was able to adjust my prescription just slightly to improve the sharpness even more, definitely can't complain about that! Now it was time to pick out my frames and receive my trial lenses. The thing is, I honestly really like the frames I have but they were no longer on the sales floor. However, Alex and Sylvia teamed up and were able to track them down at another LensCrafters and have then sent to this location! I feel bad for anyone who has had a poor experience here as mine was superb. I can't wait to get my contacts and glasses! It's been a few years since I had contacts and I'm so looking forward to being active and watching 3D movies without my glasses in the way! read more

I was having issues w/the previous pair of glasses I bought from a different location. So I went to this one to see if they had different frame options. They didn't, but lucky for me, I was assigned to work w/Sal to get me the right pair of glasses. He was beyond patient and very knowledgeable on how to remedy the fitting issues I was experiencing. Even though I had already had two pairs made by the other location, neither felt comfortable. Sal was able to give me guidance and advise that neither pair was right for my head shape. Even though I was out of time on the free replacement timeline, he was able to get special mgmt. approval to get me a 3rd pair. The 3rd pair fits and looks great! I've gotten my 2 most recent pairs of glasses from Lenscrafters. What I like is that they carry designer brands and some of them can be pretty unique looking. The pair that I wear the most are purple and are by Prada. The second pair are bright red and are by Dolce and Gabbana. Normally, I don't really pay attention to designers and just pick a pair that fit my head shape and that I can see through, but I really needed a good pair of glasses that weren't going to break after long wears since I've been wearing glasses for a LONG time. Well, with the money that I paid for these glasses, they're still holding up. Sure, my Prada ones could use a good clean and some adjusting, but they're still a darn good pair of glasses. My D&G ones I don't wear as often because well, I get a lot of weird looks when I wear bright red square glasses out in public. Especially if nothing that I'm wearing matches them. What I like about Lenscrafters is that they make your glasses right there on the spot. It takes about an hour, but if you're in desperate need of a new pair then it won't kill you to wait around. And what's even better is that this location is inside Arden Mall, so you can always shop around while you wait. The staff is always friendly and are willing to let you try on any frames that you want (some of them are locked in the display case). I've never had any problems with this glasses shop and I'll definitely be coming back the next time that I'm looking to upgrade my lenses. read more

I just had a good experience here. If you look at my other reviews you will see I had a horrific experience at Stanton Optical, so in comparison, this was awesome! I have been here before a few years ago, and had good customer service then, as well, but I do believe that their 2 for 1 sale, or their 30% off sale events are just a marketing ploy. I needed new glasses (right away)and was due for an eye exam. Had the exam with Dr. Patel, who was very professional and efficient. Trish helped me pick out glasses and did the fitting and she was very efficient as well. Overall, it was a good experience, but I take a star away because I don't believe their 'sale events' are for real. In the future, I am going to send my prescription in to one of the online eyeglass companies that Clark Howard recommends. (He has a financial radio talk show that espouses how to save money on everything). read more

This location is in Arden mall! First impression when I entered: workers were attentive and asked right away if we needed help. I already knew which frames I wanted, so I brought my eye prescription and the rest was easy. They told me the glasses would be ready within an hour. Which is new to me because I usually get my glasses from Kaiser and they take up to 2 weeks to give me my glasses. So we left, gave them more than an hour to get my glasses ready. We returned 2 hours later and they said they're just adjusting the size so I waited a little longer but it's ok. My glasses came out perfect! I love them! I would have given this location 5 stars but I think the lenses here are overpriced. And also, it does not take them one hour for your glasses to be prepared. read more

Was a bit skeptical because of the yelp reviews, but i had the best experience ever. This review is for the eye exam. Guy was a total sweetheart and was great to work with, he's such a sweetie! Dr. Sutton was great to work with as well. People may have bad experiences with getting glasses but i just went for an eye exam and had a great experience. It was fast, clean, and i tried the new Air Optix contacts. I ordered a box and cant wait for them to come in and when i walked in i was asked if i needed help right away. I usually go to Sam's Club for contacts but since i had an allowance I decided to just order a box and get it shipped to my house. Im a happy camper! Dr. Sutton and Guy were very thorough and nice.
