On May 14, 2024, I put my total purchase on my Visa Card and walked out of the store, never to return (see my previous review). Now, TEN MONTHS LATER, I received an invoice for $51.00. WTF? I've never received an invoice from them before, and certainly no one ever called about this new charge marked "Progressive" (I paid in full for progressive lenses last year). This outfit is sleazy as hell. Stay away. Update to the update: I went into the store for an explanation of the new charge. The agent said it was a balance due after the insurance adjustment, and that they had sent me three invoices prior to this latest one (I never received an invoice, email, or phone call regarding this charge for 10 months). They said they would review and contact me. By the afternoon they phoned and told me the charge would be waived. 1. Didn't know and wasn't told I'd have to pay $200 out of pocket for a fitting for contacts. My insurance was verified but there was no mention of this additional cost 2. Why did I need a fitting? I didn't want to be sold anything I didn't need but was just pushed into it like it was needed when I didn't need it 3. Current contacts are good so why did they push something else on me? 4. Pushed another contact on me that isn't as comfortable 5. Didn't give me what I my eye exam said due to being out of tester contact strength for one eye. Sounds to me like he altered my perscription based on availability of what they had in stock 6. Said would give me a refresher on putting on contacts and forgot to I came only for the eye exam and not to be sold something I didn't necessarily need. I ask for a refund and was denied. This place was not straitforward and the service was shoddy. Be advised. read more

I am a first time client at visions optometry. I wanted to get my eye exam and contact fitting done as soon as possible and they were able to accommodate me the next day. I was very impressed by this. The lady over the phone was kind and very helpful with answering my questions. I walked into the location and the storefront is very beautiful. They had a frame show going on with beautiful pieces. I was able to get everything I needed (eye exam, retinal images, contact fitting, eyeglass selection, payment) all in an hour and a half! I was looking for a great eye center close to home and had a wide selection of glasses that make a statement. I get that frames are expensive but this place was basic with selection and highly over priced. I found my frames on Amazon at a much lower price and asked if they would match the price. I was told no. I waited a little longer by ordering the frames on Amazon because it was that much of a savings. I also had an issues with my lenses that they wouldn't fix unless I re-paid. I purchased three pair of glasses from this store in the past and they fail to call or text when glasses are in. Other than that, the selection was decent and the prescriptions were correct. My most recent experience however, was really bad. I ordered sunglasses this year and it was a complete failure. I will never go back. They never notified me when they were ready. When I showed up, the lenses were so light, they would not protect eyes from any amount of sun. They sent them back for darker lenses and assured me they would let me know when they were in. I never heard from them. The lenses were the correct shade but the prescription was off so they re measured and sent them back again. The technician said she would personally call when they arrived. I received no call. When I went in, the prescription was still wrong and I couldn't see out of them. This time they did another eye exam and it was determined that my astigmatism was not included in the first prescription. Weird because I have had an astigmatism for 30 years. They re-ordered the lenses and failed to call again. Once again, the lenses were too light again and the prescription still bad. I could not see peripherally. I asked for a refund and they would only refund 50%. I walked out with glasses I cannot use. I used up my insurance for the year and am out of pocket a couple hundred for nothing...and this took months. This is just terrible service. Don't use them. read more

Highly recommended. This is the first time I've gotten new prescription glasses that felt comfortable and correct as soon as I put them on. I also appreciated the fact that the staff listened to my preference when it came down to the type of frame I liked, unlike some places that try to push frames they think you should get. I was absolutely dreading our eye appointments as I spent an aweful afternoon at Stanton years ago- This experience could not have been more incredible! First, we, my husband and I, had an appointment and when we walked in, it was apparent they were taking every precaution for our safety. They took our temperature and gave us sanitizer. The waiting room is very spacious and elegant. The eye testing that Dr. Larisa Tong and Jackie gave us was very impressive from a technology perspective and they really took their time with us. Dr Larisa was very thorough and explained all of the results from our eye test with options for lenses. Once we were done, we sat down with Marina who is lovely and very patient as we tried on different frames. The dreaded eye exam was actually very fun and relaxing! read more

This place was terrible. I came with a friend thinking it'd be a quick trip...NO. We were here for 2 hours! It took them a whole hour just to dilate her eyes and then another hour just to order the frames. The doctor didn't even explain what he was doing when he dilated her eyes. He just put drops in and said ok I'll check your eyes in 10 minutes. Then he proceeded to say she had something else wrong with her eyes and was very unhelpful when she asked how she can fix it. Their customer service is even worse. There are people "working" on other customer's paperwork but every 5 minutes getting up and walking around the store. I don't usually write reviews for other people but I was so frustrated, I had to. I will never return here and I don't recommend it to anyone. read more

I don't think I've ever had a more thorough and holistic eye exam in my life. I came in for a routine vision test and was run through a gauntlet of tests to capture a wide scope of vision health information. The doctor sat with me to review everything from general vision concerns to eye glandular health. While this was just a routine checkup, I was really impressed with The experience. I don't have any major vision issues or need glasses so I can't speak to the retail portion of the office, but the exam work here is excellent. read more

The only optometrist worth seeing is Dr Johnson. She is patient, willing to try different lenses until you find the right fit. The downside are the other ones that I had been to who told me that I just had to get used to the wrong prescription. The new office is tastefully decorated and they have a good number of designer frames. Wish they were open on Sundays but that's ok. read more

I believe I started going here 3 years ago. My first annual visit was stellar. Great doctor, lots of help finding glasses that look good on me, and a great selection! My second visit was ok. Great doctor. Terrible customer service. Good selection. My most recent visit was probably my last. DR.JOHNSON is absolutely fantastic! I came in just for my annual check, and honestly had not much idea of what to expect. After a nice and friendly greeting, the worker explained the process to me and gave me multiple options, as well as the pro and con of each options. The staff here are well-trained and really have the knowledge of what is expected. My eye-doctor was super friendly. I am a person who normally tries to get out of a clinic as soon as I can, but this place and the doctor actually create a pleasant environment that made me feel comfortable enough not to rush out. The dr I saw gave me a very thorough exam and answered all questions. However, the staff and service could be better, especially for the expense. Was told 1 to 2 weeks for glasses to arrive. Called a week and a half later for an eta, no call back or response to my later email. Reached them at the 2 week mark and am now being told at least one more week. Explained everything she was doing and showed me difference from previous rx to what new rx to be. Definitely saw difference. I've been coming here for about 2 years. Prior to this visit, I'd never had my eyes checked. They are super friendly! I found out I was nearsighted and have astigmatism in my right eye. Picking glasses was easy with their help. They advised on shapes and frames based on my face shape. About 2 months ago I went in for contacts and they were so helpful in training me. On December 2nd I went in for an appointment of which I wasn't dissatisfied with. The optometrist was very nice. Were it all went down hill was 4 weeks later I get no phone call about my glasses so I call and ask for an update, she says she doesn't have an ETA because the place were they are made is closed. She says maybe they are back ordered because it's taking so long but I'll call you Tuesday 1/2/18 when they reopen. Tuesday came around, Wednesday came around, and Thursday came around and nothing. I finally decide to call again. They say they will call me back. She calls me back and says your frames are back ordered it will take about another 2-3 weeks. At this point I'm already mad because nobody called me back Tuesday and they didn't bother to let me know my frames were back ordered! I will never come back due to the lack of communication. You would think they would be more careful and respectful about communicating since having prescription glasses is NOT a want it's a NEED for some of us. Wouldn't recommend them to anyone! read more

I really wish I hadn't of picked here to go for my first experience in getting glasses. Only picked it because it's literally right down the street from me. The ladies that work there are extremely nice, but my overall experience was/has been horrible. When the optometrist was sitting down with me, picking out glasses, I told her I've never had them before so I didn't know what to and what not to look for, she didn't give me any tips on what to look for in glasses. When she was showing me the 30% anti-blue display lense that comes with the anti glare, what she showed me, is not what my lenses ended up looking like. When I wore them, all you saw was the blue in my lenses. So I got them exchanged for the regular anti glare (it was the same price, that's why I added the 30% anti-blue) but when my new lenses came in, which took almost 3 weeks, the lab sent regular standard lenses-no anti glare!!!! So I had to wait another 2 weeks for the right lenses to come in. Well when the correct lenses finally did come in, the lady who was putting them in, broke my frames!! Now I have to wait 5-7 business days for my new frames, but it will actually be longer because thanksgiving is next week. I will not be returning here at my 1 year to get my eye exam and change my frames. So far, it's been nothing but headache. I gave 2 stars because the ladies there are really nice, but everything else has been a problem. Definitely wouldn't recommend anyone I know to come here. :/ read more

I walked in today to peruse their sunglasses for Spring and the manager said "hi" in a very direct, forced, and rude manner. A man walks in 15 seconds later and she says "hi, how are you today, how can i help you". I spoke with her and asked her why he was greeted in such a friendly manner, but I wasnt even asked if I could be helped. She said it was because I didnt smile at her!!! I told her...I CANT SEE YOU BECAUSE DONT HAVE MY GLASSES ON! She was very apologetic, but there is no excuse for her rudeness. Customer service should be consistent, asking if you can help me is mandatory. I agree with the other 1 star reviewers, nice showroom, but their service is terrible. And it was the manager who treated me this way not a new employee. Very disappointing. I also asked if she wasnt as friendly because I am African American?? Because I could not figure out what she understoid about me in her 15 second assesment, that was different about het 15 second assesment of the Caucasian gentleman who was 15 seconds behind me. She said it was not because I was African Ametican. The lesson here is to treat people equally or you make room for questions. Anyone who was treated so diffetently than a customer who arrived seconds after them would wantvto know what makes them different and less worthy of a decent greeting. read more

Went here yesterday after six years of not having eyes checked was very excited until I walked in I could tell immediately this wasn't going to be a pleasant experience with customer service- so after exam with Emily Huynh, OD I had to ask do I need glasses how are my eyes cause I have issues driving at night- still not sure so I just asked what's my vision she said 20/20 but I could use glasses so I'm ok I saw nice frames but after waiting back in lobby browsing frames no one approached me trying on Chanel frames starting at $400 and up to assist me so I went to counter said hi am I done will anyone assist me she said soon as someone was done on the phone I would be help so I waited watched her get off the phone walk over take a seat with the Chanel rep in store and talk while I got infuriated and asked am I done can u close me out I will buy frames elsewhere oh by the way Emily had time to give me here instagram handle to follow her to learn about fake nails but still need info on my eyes! After my experience at this store, this will be my go-to center for all my future glasses. After walking in, I was pleasantly greeted by one of the associates named Marina. She was very polite and personable. I told her I was looking for a pair of glasses and she did an excellent job recommending a pair that would compliment my facial structure. She also did a great job giving me a run down of all the lenses/coatings. I'm picky and typically take a while picking the perfect pair. Might I add that not once, during this experience, have I felt rushed.. Overall great experience. If you're on the edge, I highly recommend you give this place a try! read more

I have a very difficult prescription, and it took the lab several weeks to get it right; but get it right they did. And Heidi and Marina made sure that the lab did get it right. I am a first time customer, and I was immediately impressed by the warmth and friendliness, and helpfulness of Marina, and the other people who work there. I picked up my eyeglasses today, and immediately set to work picking out my next pair of sunglasses, even though it will be several months before I will be able to get them. I picked this optometry place solely based on the fact that they are one of the few that carry Chanel frames. I made an appointment with them the end of December 2015. I had not been in the office with them since their move. When I made my appointment, the woman on the phone told me how to locate their new building and the best place to park. When I arrived I walked in, but was not greeted. I assumed I had to made the trek to the front office to check in. When I did they were kind and told me to sit. I waited 30 min after checking in to be seen which was kind of annoying seeing as I arrived 10 minutes prior to my appointment and filled out the couple pieces of information within 5 minutes. The optometrist was very nice and after the appointment, told me I could shop around for frames. They have a really good collection of both eye glasses and sunglasses to choose from and lots of good brands. I had a nice lady who helped pick out a couple frames in the style I was looking for and liked that she was honest when I asked her opinion on how they looked on me. I chose one pair of Chanel eyeglasses and one pair of prescription Marc by Marc Jacobs. The woman informed me that my Chanel frames were on back order and that it would take 5-6 weeks to get them in, but that my sunglasses would be available in the typical 2-3 week time frame. I was totally fine with waiting for the frames because I really loved them both. Around the end of January I had still not received a call regarding either one of my frames. I called them up and inquired about the approximate time for my frames to come in and the woman was very helpful. She called up the company to see when they were going to start making the frames and then added the amount of time it would take for S&H and the amount of time it would take for the frames to get my perscription. She was very helpful, but I thought it sucked that no one called me to communicate these delays and she said that when the frames arrived someone would call. The last week of February I again called because I had not heard from them and it had been a week AFTER the ETA of the frames. Turns out, the Chanel frames were all ready in store, but no one had called to tell me they arrived. Although I was annoyed, I was just happy to finally have my much anticipated glasses. When I picked up my frames, I inquired about my sunglasses, stating that I was confused why these frames were taking so long in the first place because I was not told that these too were on back order. They again called the place where these glasses were made and gave me an ETA. Long story short, (well kind of short), I didn't receive my sunglasses until the very last week in March. My biggest irk of this whole situation is the lack of communication. I was told that I would wait for my Chanel frames, but not only was that time frame off, but I was not told when they arrived in the store. With my sunglasses I was not told that they were even on back order when I purchased them, so once again, bad communication. Even after the fact, I would have appreciated them contacting me and keeping me informed on the matter instead of me having to call all the time to check up. Although this isn't close to being the worst business, I wouldn't exactly recommend them unless someone was specifically looking for Chanel frames and lived in surrounding area. read more

I've purchased two pairs of glasses here in the past couple of years and appreciated the selection. Receiving them took weeks longer than anticipated in each instance. I recently lost my favorite pair, so I went back to Visions yesterday. I walked in, and neither employee at the faraway desk looked up. I walked several steps in, and one finally looked up to say hello. I mentioned that I'd recently lost my favorite glasses and need to replace them. One simply said, "OK! Let us know if you need anything!" then went back to what she was doing. A third employee joined the other two, and the three were talking with themselves at the desk while I tried on frames and set aside some for consideration. After a few minutes of doing this on my own and without anyone coming over to ask the most basic of questions (e.g. if I'd been in before, if I have a current prescription, what I'm looking for), I put the frames back where they belonged and walked out. Nobody thanked me for coming in, or asked if I'd found what I wanted, or said goodbye on my way out, so I guess they don't need my business! read more
