I needed an eye exam to get my prescription updated, and new glasses. I haven't used LensCrafters for several years buying online and from another nearby optician, that supposedly provides better service. The reason I went to LensCrafters again was I didn't want to wait for my ophthalmologist appointment which takes forever nowadays, but I needed new glasses. I made an appointment to see the optometrist, she did a fairly comprehensive exam for 87 $ and since I was there, I selected some frames and lenses which were comprehensively priced with the discount available. Overall the experience was low pressure and they have a good selection of frames. The result was a good pair of glasses. Unfortunately they dropped the "glasses in about an hour" in favor of the more common " in about a week" Conclusion: Nothing spectacular but painless low stress and competitive prices especially when there is a discount. read more

My wife and I purchased glasses at LensCrafters approximately 6 weeks ago. I need new safety glasses for work so I asked for my prescription to be sent to the optometrist my employer uses. This is the 3rd phone call to have a prescription sent over. I was told " sometimes the fax goes through..... sometimes it does not " ???? REALLY I then asked them to " just email it" The response was we are not ABLE. To do that !!! In 2022 you can't email a prescription ??? I was then told you can come in and pick it up . DO NOT GO HERE. I went for an eye exam here a year ago kept feeling like the prescription wasn't right. Fast forward 1 year I see a real eye doctor and I was put in an incorrect prescription that was 2x stronger than needed. My new doctor told me that if I had continued to wear the prescription Len's Crafters gave me I would have seriously ruined my vision. read more

i was in LensCrafters recently, and was very happy with the service I received there. Everyone I encountered there was very helpful, and informative. The doctor the did myeye exam was very thorough, and explained everything in a kind and thoughtful manner. The other staff members were friendly, and knowledgeable about their products. i picked up my new glasses yesterday, and I am very happy with them. i will go there for my yearly eye exam. read more

My family and myself did not have a great experience at all! I've been wanting to get glasses at LensCrafters for a while because of the amount of locations they have. We went into the JV mall and decided to check out LensCrafters. I was looking at some glasses while my two kids and wife were looking at glasses at another part of the store. An employee told my kids, not my wife, my kids; "do not touch the glasses, because they are VERY EXPENSIVE." The employee put the emphasis on "EXPENSIVE," which she kept saying, and saying, sorta like a broken record. We decided to walk out rather then banter back and forth about the cost of glasses, it was an uncomfortable experience, over a pair of $200 frames. We went downstairs to Sterling Optical and had a totally different experience. The associate was helpful with setting up our appointment, she put aside glasses for me as well, allowed me to browse over a number of frames. She was very interactive with my family, even told us to bring our kids because they are "fun" while we get our eye examination. Don't waste your time on LensCrafters at the JV Mall, $200 glasses are "EXPENSIVE," and go to Sterling Optical where I am most likely going to spend 1k, but well worth it because of the AWESOME customer service we received. read more

I am so angry with the service here at the Yorktown Heights Lens Crafters. My husband and I have both been previous customers and made back-to-back appts for eye exams and glasses two weeks in advance. Our appts were for 11/11 at 5:00 and 5:20 respectively (20 minute appointments, which made me wonder, when do they disinfect the machine & room between patients?). We each received TWO separate confirmation calls (one would have been enough, made me question their administration office skills). We arrived on time at 5:00. When we checked in i noticed the store and the doctor's office area were packed with people. This made me slightly uncomfortable with Covid-19 on the rise again. I introduced myself and my husband for check-in. I was told "we are running a little late, perhaps you'd like to go browse around the mall for a while".... "Browse around the mall??, no thank you" I told her, she then told me "well you can browse around our eyeglass store, look at frames until the doctor is ready to see you". I looked around, there were two people waiting on the doctor's office side, and one woman waiting sitting at the desk. One patient was on his way into the examination room. I asked the girl behind the desk "There is one person on his way in now, there are 3 people sitting together here waiting for their appointments, at 20 minutes per appointment, that would mean at least 80 minutes until i am called, that's an hour and 20 minutes? She replied with "yes, but you can browse around the mall while you wait". I did not wish to browse around the mall for 80 minutes, I did not wish to wait in the office which was stuffed with too many people sitting together in a small area. And I did not want to be seen in an eye examination room where people are being rushed through. When do they clean this room? Faces on these eye testing devices one after another. I told the girl there that we are leaving and not rescheduling our appointments. She said "OK". If they only had called me and said "we're running late, would you like to reschedule? That would have been fine with me" After all, they had no problem calling TWICE to confirm. I have to say they were probably not following the Covid-19 guidelines at Lenscrafters in the Jefferson Valley Mall. Keeping patients sitting together seat next to seat in a very small office for over an hour. That would be bad alone during normal times, but with Covid? Shame on them!!! My husband and I will no longer, ever go there again. And, PS, one week later... no call from Lenscrafters to try and reschedule our appointments. They suck. read more

I have used them for years but I never wrote a review. I thought it was just the norm. But after dealing with Sterling Optical, I feel the need to write one. As a diabetic, I like the optic nerve camera used in doctors office. When looking for frames it's just pick what you like and they take a picture of you so you can compare.For lenses it's just a yes no check list for your lenses. No pressure for an up sell. If you have questions about different lenses they will answer them. Then they check if you have any discounts or insurance. Its that simple. After the lenses are cut they actually fit the glasses to to your head and you can come back anytime for an adjustment. Customer service at its best. My daughter's frames resently cracked. We were able to get the exact frames and simply wanted to have the lenses put in the new frames. We did not want to go to the establishment which originally sold us the frames due to their questionable business practices (Sterling Optical, also at the JV mall, originally quoted one price for the frames, gave us another price when they saw our insurance, and tried to charge a third when we picked up the frames-Never again.) Sterling not only put in the lenses at no charge, they fixed the frames when they saw they were bent. I'm so grateful and look forward to doing business with them in the future. read more

I had a problem that stem from my eye doctor and lens crafter what I can say is that lens crafters step up and made good on their promise as a opposed to SightMD. I am up dating my prior post to positive. Don't have the name of the lady that services me but she was great, she's friendly motherly like but professional see her if you have any issues she will aim to address it and correct it! read more

My husband used the Doctors office for an annual eye exam & paid for the contact lenses assessment which includes or should include a free trial pair. The Doctor was great & we tried a bi-focal lenses for 2 weeks but my husbands eyes just weren't working well so the Doctor switched his lenses now 3 weeks & we haven't received the trial lenses. The receptionist does not do anything but the minimum & claims she's "still waiting for the lenses." Wondering if she or anyone would take the initiative to follow up with the supplier, get tracking #, etc, etc, etc. Not going back. Very disappointment! read more

Amazing customer service (Elizabeth was especially helpful) with a more than decent selection of frames. I was told my two pairs of glasses would be ready in an hour, and that they were. I would recommend going in early because as we're were leaving (around 1pm on a Saturday) it got very busy! read more

I am appalled by the customer service that I received recently walking into this Lens Crafters in the Jefferson Valley mall. I came in to have a simple adjustment on a new pair of glasses. Granted the pair I was asking about I had not purchased at this store or Lens Crafter for that matter. But I have been a Lens Crafters customer for over 10 years and have bought several pairs of glasses from this corporation including two pairs in April in the White Plains, NY store that cost around $800. I thought to go to this store as I was shopping in the mall and I expected to be treated respectfully. An older woman named Joanna treated me with incredible disrespect. She managed to insult me within the first few minutes of speaking with her. Upon sitting down in this store to work with this Joanna, she took off my glasses without looking at why I needed them adjusted, merely to look at the brand and then managed to call them crap. Yes, she said crap and chastised me for buying them somewhere else and not using a store with customer service. Like her customer service? So she managed to question my judgement and insult me and the product I had purchased which was not her place or her job for that matter. If this store has an issue doing this common service, they should say so and have not agreed to seat me. I had another pair of sunglasses in my bag that I wanted adjusted as well that I had bought at the Lens Crafters in White Plains in April. But because of her insulting and offensive demeanor, I left the store upset and walked down the mall to Sterling Optical who helped me promptly and without issue. Because of this experience I will think twice about returning my business to Lens Crafters in the future. I suggest that this employee be reprimanded for her behavior and for potentially ruining a long-standing relationship I've had with this company. read more

About a year ago, after a kamikaze bee flew into my face causing me to knock my glasses off my face and good 10 feet away from me, I went to LensCrafters to get a new pair of glasses (I didn't have a spare pair and needed them right away). A short time later, I noticed that after using a Bausch + Lomb lens cleaning wipe, the right lens was very smeary/dirty looking. I cleaned again, and again, and the smear wouldn't go away. I went back to LensCrafters and was told that since I didn't get the insurance on the lens there was nothing they could do. I thought I could live with the smear but recently it has started bothering me so I went back to LensCrafters to see if they could replace the smeared up lens. Sure they could...for $505! I repeated... I just want to replace the lens...not get a new pair of glasses... to replace one lens the cost would be $505. (yes, they are progressive and have anti glare coating (well, had anti glare coating), but one lens would cost more than a new pair of glasses. No one in my family will be going back to this store. read more
