Extremely dissatisfied with the unethical Joseph Lento Esq. and the Lento Law Firm. I first contacted them through their Student Discipline Defense moniker: https://www.studentdisciplinedefense.com/ The reply was prompt from Mr. Joseph Lento and I initially felt cared for. He quickly made me sign an agreement and pay a $350 fee, credit cards accepted, of course. But after doing my research and realizing a lawyer in Philly wasn't really going to help me all the way out West, I decided to work with someone else. Usually when you "retain" a lawyer; which granted, wasn't done here (forgive my ignorance of never dealing with lawyers prior to this and being in a desperate place emotionally), the money goes into an account against which the law firm bills. So I informed Mr. Lento of this development and that I would like a refund of the $350 because he didn't do anything besides speak with me on the phone for about 30 minutes and sent me a follow up email. I didn't receive a reply, so I contacted the law firm via multiple other email addresses with no response from any of them. Then I submitted a chargeback via my credit card company. This time the Lento Law Firm responded to the credit company, because, you know, money was at risk. Turns out they wrote their little agreement just so perfectly that the chargeback was overturned. Our son was accused of a Title IX offense at the University he was attending (he has since graduated). I am a parent that believes in the "consequence for action/ inaction" approach, and have no illusions that my children are perfect. Thank God for Mr. Lento!
