Awful experience truly... I would recommend going to Gail instead. She'll talk to you and provide feedback before requesting for money. I'm not sure how they have so many great reviews because they are awful at communication until they get called out. They billed us .20 (I believe this is 20 minutes) for an email that simply said "that's very good news keep us posted" after the other condo owner and I figured out our issue ourselves. We hired this law firm to represent us for an issue that occurred Jan 2024. Alan spoke to us briefly over the phone and was great- he made it sound like an easy solution and we just had to pay him 5k retainer. We never spoke to Alan again and he passed us to Natalie & team. We provided them updates about our situation and instead of providing any solutions we were given a large bill of absolute bs. They never reached out to the person we were having issues with. And they danced around the injunction they were supposed to file. After speaking with Gail we found out it would be very experience to peruse that route. Got it. So we each wasted ~ $1,500 We contacted them to cancel our service and refund the remainder of our money. I emailed to share my dissatisfaction of the firm but instead just received a long email about how great they thought they did. Their office admin contacted us on April 19 and we were told we should receive a check in the mail. Nothing.... it's been a month and we haven't heard anything. My partner and I were first time home buyers and were deceived by the previous owners of our house. The previous owners completed a master bathroom renovation a few months before selling us the house. The bathroom renovation was performed without permits from the township and did not receive any inspections. The sellers deceivingly indicated in the sales contract that permits were obtained and the township deferred inspection. We also we had an inspection performed prior to purchasing the home that did not detect the defects. The bathroom construction defects allowed water from the bathtub to permeate through and leak out of the kitchen ceiling below it. This left the bathroom unusable and was going to cost $8,200 to re-mediate. So I filed a suit against the previous owners in Delaware County small claims court. I contacted Alan through a friend of mine that is a realtor in Center City. My realtor friend highly recommended Alan. Alan took the case and made short work of it. Alan was extremely knowledgeable of PA law, real estate law and court procedure. He was very professional, prompt, kind and managed expectations very well. Alan was very reasonable in his fees compared to some of the other attorneys I had contacted. All of this was important to my partner and I as we have never filed a law suit or been part of any sort of legal matter. Alan won our case for us and we collected $6200. We used the awarded judgement plus some of our own funds to redo the master bath and return it to a functional state. Alan also represented us a few months later in a bogus loan claim with a former acquaintance. The plaintiff's case was without merit and never made it to trial. Alan was ready and had a legal strategy that would have easily won our case. We are very pleased with Alan and he will be our first call if another legal matter should arise.
