After a quick check, we realized the engine splash shield was loose, and since we couldn't get under the car ourselves, we decided to look for a local shop. I remembered passing Lamb Performance Automotive nearby, so I did a little homework and checked out their reviews. Everything I saw gave me confidence, so Helen and I dropped the car off early that afternoon--and here's where things really impressed us--they had it ready the very same day. The issue? Just six missing screws on the engine splash guard. The cost? Around $80. Honestly, I was bracing for a couple hundred dollars given the car's age, so that was a fantastic surprise. What really stood out, though, was the atmosphere. The staff--likely the owner--was incredibly down-to-earth and easy to talk to, the kind of person you instantly trust. Up front, there's even a donation box supporting their church rebuild, which says a lot about their character. And as a bonus, two friendly dogs came out to greet us, making the whole visit feel even more welcoming.
