Ordered odd yards of driveway gravel a few times over the years. Always excellent service and very easy to order.

I came to Island County ("the dump") to get rid of a carpet Grandma had when spending a few days…read morewith her. The carpet was large and we were charged a flat rate. We were able to back the car up to the dumpster area and get close enough that there was not too much wrestling to get the carpet into the dumpster. She had some other items she was thinking of getting rid of, such as paint, and when we asked about disposal we learned that oil-based and water-based paints required different disposal procedures. Learned something new on our visit. We went in the morning soon after it opened for the day and it was not too busy, the worker at the entrance where we paid the flat fee was friendly, full of insight, and eager to share what she knew to help out.

It was my first time going to a dump around in this area and they're not that easy to find but I came across this one and it is open seven days a week that accepts virtually anything before disposal. It's a little intimidating cuz it's very massive but once you're in they way your vehicle with your disposable Goods they allow you to go back into the area where you get rid of your disposables and then on the way out yeah, the way your vehicle and then they charge you the difference. I had a bunch of stuff from the house several toilets broken mirrors frames and a bunch of other stuff several hundred pounds ended up costing me 30 bucks.

Incompetent, rude, unhelpful. You can't count on your trash always being picked up, depends on how…read morethe guy feels that day. So I called them to ask why my trash was not picked up. Madison said they didn't know, they'd call me back. They never did. I had to call them the following week and then Madison told me they didn't know what happened and also didn't know why she never called me back. When pressed, Madison started making up lies about a possible weather issue - yeah, that's why they skipped my house (no hill or access issues) and a few others in my neighborhood but managed to collect trash from everyone else. She then refused to send someone to pick up the trash they missed. I had to ask her not to charge me for the service I didn't receive - they were going to still bill me for it! Turns out when she promised to not bill me for the service I didn't receive, she was lying (see last paragraph). Madison then refused to put me through to a supervisor but would relay a message and admitted she wasn't sure if they'd call me back (like she never did). When I asked who was above her supervisors Eric and Andrew, she said it is a company called Waste Connections but refused to give me their contact number, told me to look it up online. After much protesting, she finally looked up the number for me - and gave me a number that directs right back to her office, not even Waste Connections, as she stated. Convenient. Spoke with the "boss" Andrew the next day. He just kept telling me how they are not required to refund me if they didn't pick up. Repeatedly told me they are allowed to bill you even if they don't provide the service. This company is criminal and its employees are unhelpful and rude. Unfortunately if you live on this god forsaken Island, you don't have any choices and are stuck working with losers like this. Everyone here should be unemployed.

Asking a question about what gets put where results in eye-rolling, followed by a terse explanation and a sigh. They advertise that they recycle electronics. They do not, actually, do that, and told us to just throw our broken 50" flatscreen and laptop "in the trash", even though both contain environmental contaminants. Feckless, dangerously stupid, ignorant of the health of their community and the environment, this is exactly how recycling is done WRONG. Stay away from these people. They have no interest in your safety or the environment. They are the very definition of what it is to be a bad neighbor. Nope nope nope nope.

He'll ignore you while you're clearly the only person there and talk to other coworkers. He changes the hours whenever he feels like it. I can't tell you how many times I've rushed to get there b4 3 ( posted hours are 5 I think. But ed says he stops taking customers @3 so they can clean up) it's never clean from what I see. Last time I got there b4 three but Ed said he stopped at 2 today. All his guys are home!?! doing it at two or no OK pleasure not doing business with you everybody I've encountered that works there which is very few people. They're all pricks. They all treat customers like shit they rip you off and be honest, I really don't care scrap I'm not trying to get a lot of money. I'm just trying to not pay to throw my metal away, but he's just a liar. I can honestly say every time I've been there and even seen him deal with other customers he is a dick. There is a guy that does that nonferrous his name is Tom, I think Tom he's a good guy I think sometimes Ed's shittiness rubs off on him and he starts trying that out but for the most part he's always treated me with respect but one good guy doesn't save the bunch. They're all a bunch of pricks I'll never do business with them again ever And why would I there's better options that are close and closer to home

I'm writing this review because I had an unsatisfactory experience with them today. Long story…read moreshort they took my garbage can along with the garbage. I called waste Management to ask what they what we're going to do for me as a result get me a replacement or pay for my garbage can or Credit so that I can replace the can on my own.? Make average can't did not cost me a lot looking up at Home Depot. Where I would have to spend about 10 bucks in gas to get there and back again but I wasn't asking for that. I guess in retrospect I probably should have. It is their responsibility , anybody's responsibility that if you damage or steal their property how do you make good about it replace it. So when they told me the best I could do is Credit my account $15 I will stunned so by the time I get back from the store. I'm out $20 how to my own pocket to replace a $24 garbage can the they stole. I have to tell you that's it's not the right thing to do. Since this is a review of the entire company and not just their disrespect of their customers. They are reliable enough, if they miss a pick up they don't do anything about it they just pick up the next week and tell you to put the extra garbage out with it. Fine whatever. They have real people answering their phones they get a star for that. But the blind policy makers who don't see people they only see numbers, to me are garbage. Give your customer service people the ability to actually help people. To put this into perspective I took probably 10 minutes of your customer Service agents time. And another five minutes of their supervisors time. Which may not seem like a big deal but call centers cost for a customer service representative. It's over $100 an hour. And slightly more for supervisors time. The Bears in mind all the cost of running a business, not just hourly work. So by that measure they have already spent about $25 telling me no they can't actually help me. They gave me an email address and instructions about sending in a receipt. Which will take up more Time from someone else. Who will give it a cursory glance, and I am only hopeful that is someone who can think for themselves. Unfortunately they also run the nearby dump facility. So I would still be giving them money if I was to cancel their service. And I am only thinking of canceling service because of the disrespect their policy has for their customers. I do want to emphasize the customer service agents polite but fully hamstringed from making any kind of intelligent decision. And on top of it now this is the only review on yelp about waste management in my area and it's awful, do they care? I don't know probably not. They are the only game in town so maybe they don't have to care but I guess if they are granted a contract by the city or the county I guess I can contact them. Seems a shame but they don't give simple minimal authority to someone who can actually do something.

We places a clear garbage bag full of Styrofoam outside next to our garbage bins to be picked up by the garage truck. He accused us of putting it in the recycling bin. I know this because I received a letter from Waste Management warning me not to do it again. I am contacting WM and the city of Marysville about this because he is not going to harass me because I call about our recycling being missed every other time. Do your damn job and take responsibility for when you are not doing it.
