Sonoran hot dog, carne asada and abodaba tacos
    Sabrina H.

We were craving a late night snack and stumbled upon this true hidden gem of a food truck in downtown Chandler. Their menu is small with only one type of hot dog (their signature Sonoran) but that's how you know it's good. We ordered one Sonoran dog and one of each taco they offered (carne asada and abodaba). They came out fairly quickly and are LOADED! The tacos were so flavorful and every bite had me wanting more. The tortilla had a delicious crisp on the outside. The hot dog was generously filled and I especially loved the bread. The people are sooo friendly and nice! They technically close as 12am and we came a little later - they said that they will stay open as long as there are customers. Definitely want to come back to try a quesadilla and more tacos. Cash only but they also accept zelle as payment. Please come support this local small business!

Literally the best carne asada tacos ever made. Quesadillas are massive, and the Sonoran hotdogs are amazing. Check them out... you won't be sorry. Btw they only accept cash or Zelle!

WOW! If you've never had a Sonoran Hot Dog before, you do NOT know what you are missing! A.MAZ.ING! I've seen Leo Hot Dogs at this location in passing, but never thought anything of it. It wasn't until I saw a Yelp recommendation that it really piqued my interest. Being that it was located close to where I live, I thought I'd drive down there and check it out. I'm glad that I did! He's located at the corner of Pecos and Arizona Ave. There were tables there in case you don't want your order to-go. Not ever having them before, I blindly went into it and ordered two with everything on it. My Spanish isn't good enough to know what the listed ingredients were and, perhaps, my male ego got in the way and I didn't ask for a translation. You only live once, right? Hah! I also thought that by ordering them "as-is," I'd be getting the full experience of what a Sonoran Hot Dog truly is. When they arrived, they looked glorious. They were overflowing with toppings. Let me tell you, these were the messiest things I've ever eaten in my life, but SO worth it! Believe me, I won't hesitate to go back for these. Side note, when I was waiting for my order, I was watching them prepare other orders. The burritos and quesadillas are huge! I may have to try those at some point as well! I highly recommend that you check Leo Hot Dogs out when you're having a craving hot dogs, tacos, quesadillas or burritos. I later translated the ingredients because I was curious. They are: Bacon-wrapped Hot Dog, Avocado Cream, Roasted Onions, Tomato, Fresh Onion, Mayonnaise, Jalapeno Salsa, Grated Cheese, Ketchup, and Mustard.

Delicious, and tasty. The hot dog with all its toppings is a perfect mix of flavors. The bread is great as well.

I own part of a food catering company and I pride myself knowing what good food is. This place was one of the best places I've been in Chandler by far. Open late. Multiple choices hotdogs, tacos burritos etc. I'll definitely be coming here often!

Wow!!! The very best hot dog I've ever eaten! I've had a lot of hot dogs from all over! These were amazing! Oh my, the buns were grilled golden and crunchy! They had to be for the amazing toppings and my favorite grilled onions and more onions. Just get with everything! Remember cash! $6 per dog, and I would have paid more for this quality. It's a hot dog pop up stand. Pecos and Arizona ave. North East corner. $3 for a Mexico coke is an easy buy for the kiddos. Now the people. So kind and generous. Maybe a tad language barrier but the speak the best hot dog language ever! WE WILL BE BACK!

Magnificent Sonoran hot dogs at Leo Hot Dogs near Downtown Chandler!
    Justin H.

Well worth the trip to Downtown Chandler! Magnificent Sonoran hot dogs! They take cash or Zelle for payment, so plan ahead for that if necessary. There are a few picnic tables under the canopy beside the food truck if you wish to eat your food on-site. The weather is lovely right now for a good meal outdoors! They are situated on the NE corner of Pecos Road and Arizona Ave, and it is a mellow spot with a decent number of parking spots. I will definitely be pleased to return for more!

Most certainly! Ordering was pretty easy, kiosk or counter, take your pick. The rodeo burger caught my attention immediately. It was first introduced to me by a friend who said, if you've never tried, you most certainly have to! The onion rings and barbecue sauce changes the whole game for a burger. Thinking about it has me salivating. Honestly. You can get it regular or as a double and no going back as soon as you've had it! I paired my burger wth chili cheese fries. I'm regretting not adding the jalapeños to it. They had this lemon cake milkshake that is absolutely delicious. There's actual cake in that that shake! I noticed that they offer catering too. Order pickup shelving were also nearby. There is a huge dining area with tables snd chairs as well as booths. Even outdoor seating. There's also plenty of parking and appears to have drive through making easy transactions.

We've been coming here for about five years now, and it's one of those places that just stays consistent. You'll usually see a line, but don't let that scare you off--everything is made fresh right in front of you, so the short wait is part of the experience. What really sets this place apart is the grill. You can watch them cook your hot dog or sausage to order, getting that perfect snap on the casing with nice grill marks. The texture alone makes a big difference--it's crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. They've got a ton of topping options too--probably a dozen or more. Whether you're into sauerkraut, sautéed peppers and onions, chili, or keeping it classic, you can build it exactly how you like it. The sides are solid. The fries are good, and the onion rings are a little different--thinner and softer than most--but still tasty. This isn't necessarily a place we go every week, but when the craving for a really good hot dog hits, this is where we go. It's definitely a local favorite, and you can tell by how many regulars have been coming here for decades. We've also heard they might be opening a location in Gilbert soon, which would be awesome. Overall, great food, fresh off the grill, and always hits the spot.

And those fries are excellent on their own: thin-cut, crisped just right, with bits of potato skin mixed in for texture. The dog lineup is solid, with plenty of variety, but I usually stick with the all-beef frank. Everything's made to order, so there's typically a bit of a wait, but you get a buzzer so you can mind your own business while waiting. The space is a plus too, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. On my latest visit, a large group of bicyclists rolled in--some in full hot dog costumes, others in hot dog-print gear. They were all super friendly and cleaned up after themselves and it added to the whole experience. Consistently great food, a peaceful or fun atmosphere, and attention to the little things that matter.

They have several filling options and coatings, dirty fries, kimchi seasoned fries, and a whole Boba tea and slush drink menu. Hubby got the beef sausage with the two hands coating and a milk tea, and I got the plant based sausage American style. For the beef sausage Two Hands corn dog, the corn meal was delicious and almost tasted like cornbread. The exterior was crispy and had a great crunch, almost like the breading of fried chicken, and the seasoning was excellent. The beef sausage was absolutely delicious and tasted of a good quality frank. Finally, the ranch cream sauce was very well- seasoned and creamy, not something that would often be considered to pair well with a corn dog. He said this may have ruined corn dogs going forward, as everything else will be a disappointment. The plant based sausage was also delicious and was not spicy as I would have expected since most vegan sausages are spicy. The coating was classic corn dog and nice and crisp on outside and moist and soft in the center. The Boba milk tea was sweeter than he was used to, and the Boba was smaller in diameter and firmer than he'd been used to, as well. In any case, it was really delicious and satisfying.
