She's doing her job. A little rush at the end. She did explain pretty clearly and answered my questions. - Bathroom is clean Con: - street parking with meter. Some residential parking but impossible to find. No private parking lot. - Despite appointment made and arriving on time, I still waited at the lobby for 35 min before being passed in. Overall it's a fair experience. I got done what I went there for.

Trying to contact them to resolve it will be a huge waste of your time. I paid the copay with my FSA card and then months later, they charged my FSA card without my consent for a supposed balance. They made a mistake in their billing system by ignoring the reduced-rate that they agreed upon with my insurance company and then billed me for the rate difference. This is basically insurance fraud. It takes hours to reach someone on the phone and then even if they agree that it's a mistake, nothing gets fixed. They just push the matter to their outsourced billing company where the matter dies. Or they make up an excuse that it's my insurance deductible. Even when my insurance company calls them, they again tell them it'll be fixed but then nothing. It's likely they are not actively trying to commit insurance fraud but just made a mistake with their billing. But they will not take ownership of the mistake. They will say anything to get you off the phone by making up claims with no evidence or supposedly escalating the matter to another department. They will not give you their full name, contact number, or even department name. Their treatment seems fine. But their billing is horrible. Pay with cash. Or go somewhere else.

TLDR: poor quality of service from the doctor…read more I've gone to The Dermatology Center now 3-4 times over the past 2 years or so. My entire family has seen the doctor (or his staff) for various reasons. It has always felt hurried and impersonal, though that seems to be par for dermatologists from what I've read. That said, my latest encounter with the doctor has effectively been the last straw. He comes in without knowing the history of the patient (and reads his ipad in front of you), then quickly prescribes a medication with barely any explanation. I asked him a couple questions and wanted to know what the name of the active ingredient was and his reaction was - "are you in medicine or something"? I'm paraphrasing as I don't remember the exact wording but give me a break, I'm the patient, I can ask all the questions I want and deserve a thoughtful response with patience. At the end of the visit he didn't even bother to say goodbye and just walked out the door. I've experienced many dentists, OBGYNs, pediatricians, general physicians, and even other derms yet I've never had this kind of poor customer experience before. For all I know, the doctor may be quite competent as a derm but he lacks in the social skills required to provide a warm/engaging/thoughtful/patient experience. On another note, the medicine he prescribed me was supposed to be covered by my insurance and they sent the script to a CVS. I'm told later that CVS actually doesn't fill this particular medication and called the front desk back to which the front desk said "oh yea CVS doesn't fill this type of stuff". If your front desk staff knows this how does your other staff not know (or worse, not care) to send the script to the right kind of pharmacy? I also find out later that my insurance actually doesn't cover this medication so this entire visit to the doctor was a waste of my time. I'm not naive enough to think that medical practice in the US these days is meeting the bar in terms of customer service but at a minimum I'm voting with my wallet by choosing not to go here again and writing a review so others can make an incrementally more informed decision. Lastly, other reviews have said this place is accessible - it absolutely is not. It's on Bell road where there is severely limited street parking and no good side road parking either. You can't park in the shopping center across the street (or you can and risk getting towed). Every time I have to plan extra time just to find street parking and hope to get lucky. It's infuriating and another reason not to come here.

I met with Dr phoebe Tam, who was very caring and engaging. Theu did a skin check up for cancers, moles and any abnormalities. All went well but they did recommend either laser treatment for my sun spots or to use a chemical treatment. By the way neither treatments are covereded by my insurance. I am currently looking at the chemical treatment as it would be the least expensive. I was advise to look into using silicone scar sheets for my skin. Oversll it was a very thorough examination. Parking was very difficult, we had to oark like 3 bloxks away from the main street.

He immediately gave me the name of a surgical oncologist. Within 5 days I had surgery, and thankfully my margins are clear! The place I walked into was dark and dingy. I went with 2 other girls... I politely asked the front receptionist if I can go in to the examine/procedure room to meet the doctors and decide if I wanted to come back for an actual procedure for myself in the near future and I was told no problem. Three of us went into the room together and with in few minutes the doctor walks in and as soon as he starts to talk I thought he was either high on drugs or had too much to drink because he sounded like he was slurring his words. One of the girls I went there was my sister so when he started to do procedure on her I once again asked politely if I can come closer to look. I simply wanted to see where he was injecting her... that was all. Apparently he didn't like me asking him that question so he shot me a look, walked over to the door, opened the door and told me to get out. He then proceeded to tell me to go outside, sit down and relax. Because his action was so outrageous I thought for a moment that he was joking but the smirky expression on his face told me he was dead serious. That completely was unnecessary...if he didn't want me to come close to look then he could have simply told me. No... The man needs to learn to have better bed side manners. I would never go back nor recommend this place to anyone. The only reason why I gave one star is because there is no opportunity to give either below one star or zero stars. I wouldn't even give it one star.
